Promoting Students’ Critical Thinking Skill Through Stem-Based Learning on Trigonometry 以Stem为基础的三角学学习提高学生的批判性思维能力

This study aims to promote students' critical thinking skills of trigonometry by using STEM-based learning. This study was an experimental study conducted on 10th grade students of social studies MAN 1 Cirebon. The data were collected by using tests. The result showed that there was an improvement of students’ critical thinking skills after the implementation of STEM-based learning on trigonometry. Students’ posttest score of 79.83 was greater than the pretest score, which was 30.81. The paired sample t-test analysis showed that there was a significant increase from pretest to posttest score. Thus, it can be concluded that there STEM-based learning can be applied to promote students' critical thinking skills.
本研究旨在通过基于STEM的学习来提高学生的三角学批判性思维技能。本研究是对10年级的社会研究生MAN 1井里汶进行的一项实验研究。数据是通过测试收集的。结果表明,实施基于STEM的三角学学习后,学生的批判性思维能力有所提高。学生的后测成绩为79.83,高于前测成绩30.81。配对样本t检验分析显示,从前测到后测,得分有显著增加。因此,可以得出结论,基于STEM的学习可以应用于提高学生的批判性思维技能。

Students’ Metacognitive Skills in Solving Probability Investigation-Based Problem 学生解决概率调查问题的元认知能力

This study aims to describe the metacognitive abilities of students in solving opportunity problems with nuanced investigations based on the mathematical abilities of grade 12 students in one of the high schools in Kediri Regency, East Java, Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive type, with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of giving tests with the think-aloud method and semi-structured interviews. The research instrument consisted of a problem test with investigative-based and interview guidelines. The research participants consisted of three grade 12 students each with high, medium, and low mathematical abilities. The results of this study indicate that at the stage of understanding the problem, metacognitive activity appears in the form of awareness and evaluation. However, the low participant was not able awareness in a good way and the medium participant was not doing a careful evaluation of the results. In the planning stage, the high and medium participants currently use regulation activities by thinking about the right strategy. Evaluation activities, such as believing in the effectiveness of the strategy and assessing the results appropriately. In the stage of implementing the plan, the high and medium participants are using regulation activities by monitoring the planned solutions properly. Evaluation activities are carried out with an appropriate assessment of each result. However, the opposite appeared for low participant in both previous stages. In the stage of looking back, evaluation activity appears in the form of assessing the suitability of answers to the context of the problem with investigative nuances, but no metacognitive activity was found in low participant.

Metacognitive Analysis of Students in Solving Mathematics Problem 学生解决数学问题的元认知分析

This research is motivated by the lack of students' understanding of their thinking skills and students cannot determine the right strategy to overcome the problems encountered in solving mathematical problems. The purpose of this study was to find out how the metacognitive level of students in solving math problem solving problems in class IX.1 students of SMPN 26 Padang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The subject of this research is class IX.1 SMP Negeri 26 Padang. The instruments used are tests and interviews. The test is used to determine the metacognitive level of students in solving problem solving problems. Interviews were used to find out more about the metacognitive level in terms of students' understanding. The results showed that as many as 35.71% of students were at the metacognitive level of Tacit Use, as many as 35.71% of students had the metacognitive level of Aware Use, and as many as 28.58% of students had the metacognitive level of Strategic use. Students who have a high group metacognitive ability score in the classroom are at the Strategic Use metacognitive level. Students who have a moderate group metacognitive ability score in the class are at the Aware Use metacognitive level. and students who have a low group metacognitive ability score in the class are at the metacognitive level of Tacit Use.

Development of IT - Based Mathematics Learning Media Using Articulate Storyline 用清晰的故事情节开发基于信息技术的数学学习媒体

This research is motivated by the lack of motivation and participation of students in participating in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to produce a valid and practical IT-based mathematics learning media on Data Presentation material at SMP N 1 Padang Ganting. The type of research used is development research using the ADDIE development model. The research instrument used was a validation questionnaire, a practicality questionnaire that was useful to see the practicality of learning media by teachers and students. The results of the validity of IT-based learning media using Articuate Storylineby 98% with a very valid category. The final value of practicality with the teacher obtained a final score of 100% in the very practical category. The final value of practicality with students was obtained 96.7% in the very practical category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that IT-based learning media using Articuate Storyline is declared valid and practical to use in learning data presentation materials at SMP N 1 Padang Ganting.

Konsep relasi dan fungsi pada kurikulum matematika sekolah cukup esensial. Dalam evaluasi tentang pemahaman siswa dalam materi dalam materi konsep relasi dan fungsi, terdapat beberapa kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Kesalahan yang terjadi dapat berupa kesalahan fakta, kesalahan konsep, kesalahan prinsip, kesalahan prosedur dan kesalahan cara penyimpulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal materi relasi dan fungsi yang dilakukan siswa kelas VIII MTs Miftahul Ulum Tunggak Cerme. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif, dengan tes diagnostik dan wawancara sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIB MTs Miftahul Ulum Tunggak Cerme yang berjumlah 25 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpula sampel digunakan untuk menetapkan 3 orang siswa yang masing-masing mewakili kategori kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa banyak melakukan fakta, konsep, prosedur dan cara penyimpulan.Kata kunci : Analisis, Kesalahan siswa, Relasi dan Fungsi

Etnomatematika merupakan pembelajaran matematika yang diperoleh melalui budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan eksplorasi etnomatematika pada Masjid Raya Bandung. Metode pada penelitian ini berupa studi kepustakaan, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah diperoleh dilakukan analisis dengan cara reduksi data, yaitu pengolahan data melalui tahap pemilahan, pemusatan, dan penyederhanaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan beberapa bangun bidang pada bangunan dan ornamen dari Masjid Raya Bandung, yaitu persegi panjang, lingkaran, persegi, segitiga, jajargenjang, segilima, layang-layang. Selain itu, juga ditemukan beberapa bangun ruang pada bangunan dan ornamen dari Masjid Raya Bandung, yaitu bola, balok, dan tabung. Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika; Masjid Raya Bandung; geometri

Artikel ini berisi review dari pengaruh penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis website terhadap peningkatan kemampuan belajar Matematika siswa yang dianalisis oleh salah satu penelitian sebelumnya. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel penelitian 30 siswa pada tingkat SMA, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan teknik Data tes yang diperoleh dan dianalisis menggunakan Uji T yaitu Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat dikategorikan jenis tinggi apabila interval nilai pemahaman konsep matematis siswa lebih dari 25,158. Peserta didik yang mempunyai kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada jenis sedang, interval pemahaman konsep matematis yaitu antara 17,98 dan 25,158. Dan peserta didik yang mempunyai keahlian dalam pemahaman konsep matematis jenis rendah intervalnya yaitu kurang dari 17,98. Sedangkan hasil pada kelas control yaitu kelas yang tidak diberi penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis website, interval pemahaman konsep matematis tinggi yaitu lebih dari 23,6. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis jenis sedang, interval nya antara 16,88 dan 23,6. Dan siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep matematis jenis rendah dengan interval kurang dari 16,88. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil dalam penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis website pada kemampuan didalam pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik.Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar, Berbasis Website, Pemahaman Konsep

Pembelajaran online di masa pandemi covid-19 menjadi tantangan tersendiri dalam dunia Pendidikan, khususnya pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan berbagai media pembelajaran online matematika guna mempermudah pendidik dalam mengajarkan materi matematika secara daring. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan kajian kepustakaan (study literature). Proses pembelajaran daring yang berlangsung selama pandemi covid-19 menuntut pendidik agar mampu mengemas pembelajaran online yang menarik. Hal ini dapat diatasi dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran online agar penyampaian materi matematika dapat berjalan maksimal. Media pembelajaran online matematika yang dapat digunakan meliputi Whatsapp, Zoom Meeting, Google Meets, Google Classroom, dan Youtube Channel.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran Online, Matematika, Pandemi.

The Effect of Utilizing Macromedia Flash as a Teaching Media for Delivering Integer on The Learning Outcomes of The Seventh Graders of Mts Miftahul Ulum Pelangwot 使用Macromedia Flash作为教学媒体进行整数传递对米塔胡洛佩朗格特中学七年级学生学习成果的影响

This study aimed to see the significant effect of utilizing Macromedia Flash as a teaching media for delivering integer on the learning output of the seventh graders of MTs Miftahu Ulum Pelangwot. It was an experimental research with a control design of one group pre-test post-test design. Hence, it used pre-test and post-test questions as the research instrument. Some tests including validity test, reliability test, and hypothesis test using Paired Sample T-test were all applied for data analysis. The research instrument was validated by an expert validator who confirmed that it was proper to use. The significant result of normality test was 0,2, which was more than 0,05, indicating that the data was normally distributed. The result of Paired Sample Test was tcount > ttable referring to 5,950>2,160. Therefore, it concluded that the significant effect of utilizing Macromedia Flash as a teaching media for delivering integer on the learning outcomes of the seventh graders of MTs Miftahul Ulum Pelangwot obviously existed.
