Regular practice of badminton players will lead to the formation of repetitive movement patterns as a significant factor causing outer elbow pain, commonly referred as tennis elbow. This study was aimed to identify the contribution of repetitive movements to tennis elbow risks in badminton players, to examine the relationship between repetitive movements and tennis elbow risks, and to investigate the differences of tennis elbow risk based on the repetitive movement status and the player status. The method used was the observational study with a correlational approach involving 122 players of student badminton organization, known as UKM, from four universities selected using the purposive and cluster sampling methods. The dependent variable of this study was the tennis elbow risk, while the independent variables were repetitive movements and the player status. The ordinal linear regression statistical test results obtained a p-value estimated parameter of p = 0.418 and a pseudo R-Square value of 11.4%. Spearman statistical test was obtained (p=0.020) with a value of r = -0.210. The Kruskal-Wallis H statistical test was obtained (p=0.040). The Mann-Whitney statistical test was also obtained (p=0.005). Repetitive movements contribute to the risk of tennis elbow in badminton players and affect the condition. In addition, there is a weak relationship between repetitive movements and tennis elbow. Repetitive movement status and player status affect the risk of tennis elbow in badminton players.

The endurance component, namely Vo2max, is the part of physical fitness that supports important conditions. In terms of physical fitness, especially endurance, there is a need to develop test equipment to support and improve the performance requiring VO2max. This research was aimed to develop an instrument prototype, namely the Modified Vo2Max Test, using Ultrasonic sensor with lamp (LED 3 x 3 12VDC) and Buzzer (Piezzo 3-12 VDC). The set of this instrument consisted of four slaves. The placement of each LED sub-device depended on the need of the user. The basic circuit included sensors, WiFi modules, RGB LEDs, and a doorbell. The function of the sensor was to detect objects in the sensor area. The RGB LEDs acted as a signal when the sensor received stimuli. In addition, this instrument was made to facilitate the user movement in adding their skills according to their blindness. The valid test results showed an (rxy) value of 0.886. Compared to the table of r = 0.282, the value of rxy was higher with a sig value of 0.000 0.6. It concludes that the modified Vo2Max test is reliable. This Vo2max Futsal Prototype product is useful for players to examine their VO2max and physical fitness.

Indonesia is ranked as the most highly polluted country in Southeast Asia and the 26th on the list of the most polluted countries worldwide. Exercising in polluted spaces can have complex effects on inflammation and mitochondrial biogenesis in the lungs. The interaction between physical activity and pollution exposure may affect lung health. This study aimed to analyse the different effects of exercise in polluted open spaces and antioxidant administration on lung inflammation and mitochondrial biogenesis. The research approach used was a quantitative approach with a comparative descriptive design using random assignment technique. The research sample used male white rats (Rattus Norvegicus) Wistar strain aged 8-10 weeks with a body weight of 200-300 g obtained from Biofarma Animal Breeding Facility. The sampling technique used in this study was random assignment technique. In this study, the number of members of the treatment group was 5, so the total research sample amounted to 5 x 9, namely 45 samples. The results showed that there was a differentiation in the level of inflammation represented by the level of IL-6 and NF-κB and lung mitochondrial biogenesis level represented by PGC-1α, TOM20, and COX IV with moringa administration in physical activities, as indicated by the comparison of the mean values of the inflammatory process and lung mitochondrial biogenesis in the nine treatment groups. The implication of this research is that it is necessary to consider appropriate sport strategies or guidelines for individuals who exercise in a polluted environment to reduce the negative impact on the respiratory system and overall lung health.

Short hamstring syndrome is a condition caused by a reduction of the length of hamstring muscles causing muscle tension, muscle strain, and limitations in movement and function. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of the neurodynamic sciatic nerve sliders technique with passive stretching on reducing pain and increasing flexibility of the hamstring muscles in tailors with short hamstring syndrome. This study was an experimental study with pre-test and post-test two group design. The study sample consisted of 22 people given the neurodynamic sciatic nerve sliders technique intervention, for group 1, and passive stretching, for group 2. Pain was measured using a visual analogue scale (VAS), while hamstring muscle flexibility was tested by active knee extension (AKE) measured before and after intervention. Data analysis used paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The Paired Sample T-test for pain data of Group 1 obtained p = 0.000 (p 0.05), while the result of Group 2 was p = 0.000 (p 0.05). For the flexibility data of the hamstring muscles, group 1 obtained p = 0.000 (p 0.05) and group 2 obtained p = 0.000 (p 0.05). Independent Samples T-test for pain obtained an average score after treatment of 1.48 ± 1.10 for group 1 and 2.37 ± 0.76 for group 2 with a value of p = 0.039 (p 0.05). For flexibility data, the mean after treatment was 165.00 ± 4.05 for group 1 and 155.00 ± 8.33 for group 2 with a value of p = 0.002 (p 0.05). From these results, neurodynamic sciatic nerve sliders technique and passive stretching can reduce pain and increase hamstring muscle flexibility in tailors with short hamstring syndrome.

Half squat is a strength exercise to improve the ability of the pelvic and thigh muscles by standing straight with the feet shoulder-width apart and the toes facing slightly outward to maintain balance. When the knees bent and the hips lowered, the knees are not going beyond the toes. This study was aimed to determine the effect of half squat training on dollyo chagi kicking skill of Taekwondo athletes. This study used an experimental method using a one group pre-test post-test design. The population of this study were all 20 members of the Kendari City Taekwondo Club. The total sampling technique was used to select the samples. From the results of the data analysis, the pre-test score was 25.95, while the post-test score was 30.35. Based on the results of data analysis, the effect of half squat training on the dollyo chagi kicking skill of Taekwondo athletes was proven significant, as indicated by the t-test value of 0.000 0.05. Based on the results of data analysis, the half squat exercise had a major impact on the ability of Taekwondo athletes to perform dollyo chagi kicks. In addition, the half squat exercise had an effect on increasing the athlete leg muscle power because it was carried out in a programmed exercises repeatedly so that the results of the skill could be maximized as expected.
