This article is a study of codicology which aims to representation a characteristics of the Qur’anic manuscript of Ibrahim Ghozali (MKIG). Using a descriptive analytic method, this article has two main analysis, that is the physical of script and the writing style of script. Historically, MKIG has written at 19th century in Polorejo, Ponorogo. Based on the mold of watermark and countermark, showed that the paper used by MKIG is the European paper produced in Heelsum Netherlands in 1808. On writing rasm has found an inconsistency because use of two rasm at once, that is rasm ‘utsmānī and rasm ’imlā’i. While the qirā’at used is the reading of Imām ‘Āṣim narrative H}afś. Based on the characreristics of that writing, MKIG is a mushaf that has a lot of influence from mushaf writing tradition among javaness boarding school. Other side, MKIG is assumed can represent a copy of the mushaf based only on memorization, because found a several corrupt in the form of errors in writing letters and vowels which is exist in almost every surah.

This research focuses on the commentary written by a person with the rank of colonel and involved in the military and political world. Bakri Shahid's military, academic, and ethnic backgrounds influenced his interpretation of Tafsir al-Huda. The data mining technique in this study uses a qualitative approach using library research techniques, namely by collecting data through readings and literatures that are related to the discussion. The writing method used in this research is descriptive-analytic method. The primary source in writing this article is the Tafsir of the Jawian Qur'an by Brigadier General (Purn.) Drs. H. Bakri Shahid and other literature relevant to the article, especially regarding methods and patterns in interpretation. From the results of the study, it is known that the interpretation written with the interpretation model is in the form of footnotes and uses Javanese language that is smooth and thick with Javanese culture in its interpretation.

This research reviews the differentiation, uniqueness, and theoretical power that is in Fath al-Khabir bi Sharh Miftah al-Tafsir. This research is a manuscript research by Sheikh Muhammad Mahfudz al-Termasi Pacitan which explain/sharh the book of miftah al-Tafsir or what is called Alfiyah Ilm Tafsir written by Nigerian scholar named Syeih Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Salih al-Niji ri. The book is a manuscript that is still in the form of Sheikh Mahfudz Termas’s handwriting, this study uses a philology method that will describe the manuscript and analyze it using several contemporary Qur’anic study theories. This research shows the concept of a unique and systematic ulumul Qur’an offered by Kyai Mahfudz Termas.

This paper describes the locality of Kiai Abul Fadhol Senori’s interpretation in his book of commentaries entitled Al-Ayat Al-Ahkam. Kiai Abul Fadhol Senori is one of the scholars of the archipelago who was born in Tuban and has a deep religious scientific capacity, one of which is fiqh. His deep knowledge of fiqh prompted him to write a book of commentaries related to the laws of the Shari’a. Methodlogically, the writing of the book of Al-Ayat Al-Ahkam uses the tematic method (maudhu’i). Because the themes raised around the laws of the Shari’a, make this book of interpretation classified as a book with the pattern of ahkam interpretation. The systemics of writing fiqh books starting from the chapter of thahrah, prayer and so on. The data used in this study were sourced from the third copy of the commentary book and direct interviews with Mudjami’ Sulaiman, as a student and copyist of the book. In another, uniqueness of the book of interpretation of Al-Ayat Al-Ahkam is the locality of its interpretation. By using the tmatic-analytic deskriptive method, this paper find several findings regarding the locality of interpretation: first, the problem of determining the direction Qibla: second, the ability to carry outsocial activities after Friday prayers sucah as visits (tilik), takziah, gatherings. Basically, the emergence of local issues in an interpretation cannot be separated from the socio-cultural context of the community, therefore the struggle of the interpreter with the surronding community is a necessity.

This study aims to determine the characteristics of the Qur'ānic manuscripts of Syeikh Surau Tanjuang and it’s differences from the Qur'ān rasm usmaniy. This research is a library research with a philological and codicological approach. The primary source of this research is the Qur'ānic manuscripts of Syeikh Surau Tanjuang and the secondary sources used are books that are directly related to the discussion. The results of this study indicate that three manuscripts of the Qur'ān were found as relics of Syeikh Surau Tanjuang. The manuscripts were collected by Hayatun Nufus and Datuak Trans as the Tanjuang tribe. The characteristics of the Qur'ānic manuscripts of Syeikh Surau Tanjuang generally do not have a cover and are written in naskhi script. The condition is quite apprehensive because it is no longer intact, many pages are missing, the paper is torn, even eaten by termites, and the paper has started to turn yellow. The comparison of the Qur'ān Syeikh Surau Tanjuang manuscripts with the Qur'ān rasm utsmani can be seen from several aspects, including the aspect of rasm, punctuation (syakl), tajwid sign, waqaf sign which in general has clear differences. Besides that, there were also some errors in writing.

This article aims to critically explain the method of al-Tafsīr al-Tauḥīdī by Ḥasan al-Turābī and its position amongst other thematic commentary theories. This study is a descriptive qualitative study by employing content analysis theory. The results indicate the trend of al-Tafsīr al-Tauḥīdī in two meanings. The first is as a commentary paradigm which leans on the unity of man and the universe in the message of the God’s revelation. The second is as the form of thematic commentary of al-Waḥdah al-Mauḍū‘iyyah model. Therefore, this commentary is more appropriately categorized into al-Tafsīr al-Muṣhafī bi al-Waḥdah al-Mauḍū’iyyah. It has three systematic explanation in each surah including Khulāṣah Hady al-Sūrah, Tartīl al-Ma’āni, and Umūm al-ma’āni. Al-Turābī's ability to unite various related elements in his commentary is not only between verses or surahs but also between human life and all its activities with the universe in a bond of al-Qur'an guidance which is core to monotheism. This is the advantage it has and is a new method in commentary literacy in Sudan. In fact, the method of al-Tafsīr al-Tauḥīdī generally becomes a framework for the whole civilization project of al-Turābī. However, there are some critics towards his commentary regarding rationality and rejection of several authentic hadiths which seem to leave riwāyah in the commentary of the Qur’an.

This research discusses the discourse of the concept of tabayyūn contained in the Qur'ān as an effort to address the dissemination of information on social media. This research is included in qualitative study models as well as using thematic interpretation views using descriptive-analytical methods that will be contextualized with today's phenomenon. This research comes down to the findings, namely that discursus tabayyun in the Qur’ān is one way to verify the dissemination of information to find a valid source of information. Contextualization of the understanding of the concept of tabayyūn, requires scholars who are experts in their fields to speak to clarify information that is considered troubling to society with the support of the power of the ruler in a country. This brings up the efforts of tabayyūn concept on social media by collaborating with various models of information literacy in accordance with existing conditions, in order to create harmonious communication in the middle of people's lives.

Al-Qur’ān is the holy book as a guide for people in any condition. This including the COVID-19 pandemic that has spread across the world. This article aims to outline the message in the Qur'ān about work ethic during the Covid-19 pandemic. This article is a literature review study with the Maudhui method of the Qur'ān verses related to work ethic. It was using content analysis. The study showed that even though the pandemic is taking place, Muslims are still obliged to work because Allah expressly commands them to work. God's commandment is that humans carry out work according to their ability and earnestly for life in the world and a provision in the hereafter because work is an act of jihad fisabillah.

The article explains of one verses from the verse of amtal, namely Ibrahim verse 18 which discusses the interpretation of the tafsir scholars who explain the action committed by infidels and the ashes that are dust by strong winds when the wind blowns. The related example is the dust which blown by the wind because the dust turns out to be nothing and you will not be able to do anything if you are faced with strong winds in the high wind season, surely the dust will fly everywhere chaotically and will not be able to return to original place. Besides that, the dust that is contained in the Qur’ān is flying dust, where the flying dust has a negative impact and unbenefit to human health and the environment. This fact provides a very broad discourse enrichment, that the wind can occur if one day there is air pressure in the horizontal direction, there will be a movement of air mass transfer from a place with high air pressure to a place with low air pressure. Dust particles are known as small numbers of particles that are lifted up by the force of wind stress. The value of the wind stress force in this event is expressed by the fluid or threshold. This threshold depends not only on the properties of the fluid, but also on the gravity and cohesive forces between the particles which oppose the lift force of the fluid

Skripsi ini berjudul “Kiblat Persfektif Mufassirîn (Kajian Analitis Penafsiran Ayat-Ayat Kiblat dalam Tafsir al-Thabari, Ibnu Katsir, dan Tafsir al-Mishbah)”. Pembahsan skripsi ini hanya berfokus pada tiga ayat tentang perpindahan arah Kiblat yang terdapat di dalam surat al-Baqarah ayat 144,142, 115. Peneltian di dalam skripsi ini hadir sebagai upaya reksonstruksi atas beberapa tudingan negatif yang dilontarkan oleh kelompok orientalis mengenai perpindahan arah Kiblat yang terdapat di dalam tiga ayat surat al-Baqarah yang penulis sebutkan di atas. Salah seorang tokoh mereka Gardner mengatakan, jika perpindahan arah Kiblat yang disitir di dalam surat al-Baqarah itu adalah satu bentuk dari adanya kontradiktif yang terkandung di dalam al-Qur’an. Untuk mewujudkan apa yang penulis sebutkan di atas, maka di dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan tiga kitab tafsir sebagai data utama yang akan penulis gunakan di dalam melihat bagaimana interpretasi sesungguhnya tentang peralihan arah Kiblat yang disebutkan oleh tiga ayat di dalam surat al-Baqarah tersebut. Diantara tafsir tersebut adalah tafsir al-Thabari, Ibnu Katsir dan tafsir al-Mishbah. Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan kajian pustaka, sumber data yang terdiri dari sumber-sumber tertulis berupa kitab, buku, jurnal makalah dan sumber-sumber otoritatif lainnya yang relevan dengan judul ini. Selain itu, untuk memudahkan proses penelitian ini penulis juga menggunakan pendekatan tematiknya ‘Abdul Hayyi al-Farmawi. Dan diakhir penelitian ini berdasasrkan interpretasi yang disebutkan oleh masing-masing mufassir di dalam kitab tafsirnya, tidak ditemukan adanya indikasi yang mengarah kepada adanya kontradiktif di dalam penafsiran tiga ayat tersebut, bahkan diantara tafsiran antara yang satu dengan yang lainnya cenderung sama dan melengkapi satu sama lain.
