Although the management of cancer patients is now well codified, there are still few cohesive tools available. The Individualized Interdisciplinary Intervention Plan (P3I) is a tool for coordinating and mapping out a coherent, patient-centered approach throughout the cancer journey.

The removal and transplantation of organs or tissues is a real public health issue. It represents a scientific and medical advance in medicine. However, the high demand for transplants remains a major concern, requiring a strong political and ethical framework.

The nurse coordinator for organ and tissue donation plays an essential role in the donation chain. Their duties are varied. They revolve around managing the removal process, but also involve a crucial interpersonal dimension. They are likely to be the last healthcare professional that the families of potential donors see. They represent the last image of the department and the hospital in this very specific end-of-life context.

In 2024, state-certified transplant coordination nurses (Idec) at the Henri-Bismuth Hepatobiliary Center received 754 proposals for liver and pancreatic transplants. Based on a statistical analysis of the activity, this article highlights the specificities of the Idec's on-call duty in the context of transplantation.

Heart and lung transplantation remains a complex procedure that requires multidisciplinary expertise. While the roles of surgeons and anesthesiologists are well known, there is another profession that is little known, even among healthcare professionals, but which is essential in cardiac surgery: perfusionists. They manage the various extracorporeal circulations in the operating room and intensive care unit, but also participate in the collection, transport, evaluation, and rehabilitation of heart and lung grafts.
