In this article, we aim to highlight the specific role of nurses in the interdisciplinary model of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. We argue that the plural competencies of our profession are at the heart of future issues in psychiatry and the use of psychedelics.
The term quality of life at work (QWL) first appeared in the 2000s, and in particular since December 2020, when working conditions were taken into account. QWL then became Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QWLWC). It therefore became an essential subject to promote, in which the occupational health nurse plays a crucial role. By working closely with employees, occupational health nurses play an active role in preventing occupational risks and promoting health and well-being.
When caring for a patient with an intellectual disability, restraint is often an ambush. At the Institut Jérôme Lejeune, the nursing team has put in place a series of measures designed to help both patient and caregiver, whether in managing the pain induced by care or the apprehension it provokes. After a year's implementation, the number of heavy restraints has fallen significantly.
Health has a cost, and in the face of declining purchasing power, many French people are forced to cut back on their healthcare spending, at the risk of damaging their health. For example, a chiropodist feels that some patients with a deforming forefoot pathology are depriving themselves of essential chiropody care, or are coming for consultations but at the expense of other leisure expenses. In this article, we present a study protocol designed to objectivize this phenomenon.
In France, the health status of the population is marked by a paradox: good health on average, but significant health inequalities from childhood and throughout life. Social inequalities in health result from unequal distribution of social determinants, which refer to the social, political, economic, cultural and environmental factors that shape the living conditions in which people are born, grow up, live and age.
Social inequalities in health include all the impacts caused by the different social characteristics of individuals on their health. They strongly influence the health status of the French population. Socio-professional category, gender and ethnic origin are all determining factors in the health of people who, however, are not dependent on the healthcare system. Action in the healthcare field will therefore focus on the effects of these inequalities, to limit the number of people who forego healthcare, and to promote collective and individual health.
The educational escape game integrates the codes of serious games into the development of nursing students' skills. Used within the framework of the psychopathological processes teaching unit, this method enables learners to appropriate their knowledge, thanks to the development of pedagogical objectives that blend with the mechanics of the game. The escape game is appreciated by students and encourages their commitment to the course.
