From ancient times to the present, humans have bestowed meaningful names upon parcels of land where they conduct their daily activities, and the transmission of these names to the present day enables a connection between the past and the present. In this context, when the names of settlements given to land parcels in Anatolia are examined, it can be observed that individuals' cultural characteristics and their lived geography have an influence on nomenclature. This study aims to classify the urban (15) and rural (24) neighborhood names of the Konyaaltı district based on geographical attributes. In this regard, a qualitative research method was employed, utilizing document analysis as the data collection tool to classify place names. According to the findings, it has been determined that physical geography elements (65%) have a greater impact on the determination of settlement names compared to human geography elements (35%). Place names created based on physical geography elements show a preference for names related to water bodies, whereas place names created based on human geography elements exhibit a preference for names associated with personal names, lineage, and tribal affiliations. The intention is to examine and contribute to Turkish culture by exploring these findings and their implications.

The issue of what should be the elements that make up the aesthetics in Turkish Music performance methods has not been adequately addressed scientifically. However, Turkish music contains the rich aesthetic accumulation of a deep-rooted cultural heritage that extends to the present day. It is inevitable that the aesthetic elements in the maqam, rhythm and melodic structures of Turkish Music works will make significant contributions to both academic studies and performance. In this context, aesthetics and music philosophy especially in the creation processes of musical works have a special importance. Therefore, the study of aesthetic elements in the genres and forms of Turkish Music repertoire emerges as a compulsory field. The value of aesthetics, which is defined as the way of searching for the beautiful, in Turkish Music works is directly proportional to the compositions of the makams and tempos. In the analysis of a musical work, the form that forms the building blocks of the work is very important. Aesthetic questioning on the form should be made through the elements of motif, sentence, clause and section. However, studying all of the aesthetic elements of Turkish Music, which has a very wide repertoire, requires a lot of effort and time. In this article, first of all, aesthetic perception, aesthetic attitude, aesthetic pleasure etc. related to aesthetic theory. By emphasizing the main concepts, the aesthetic elements in the performance of Turkish Music works with the aesthetic questioning method, which is one of the most basic elements of creativity, are studied under the headings by giving examples.

The effects of climate change have a significant impact on nearly every aspect of life on Earth, including human civilizations, the economy, and health. Data centers and other large-scale computing resources are among the human activities responsible for large greenhouse gas (BSG) emissions. Other human activities also contribute to this problem. Although the growth of high-performance computing has allowed many important scientific breakthroughs to be achieved, the environmental impact of this progress cannot be underestimated. This paper describes a methodological framework for consistently and reliably estimating the carbon footprint of any computer business. The system can be used to calculate the carbon footprint of any computing task. A user can measure and report the carbon footprint of calculations using a newly created web tool called the Green algorithm (www.green-algorithms.org), which is freely available to the public. However, the tool is very simple to implement within computational procedures, as it uses very little information, does not interfere with pre-written code, and can accommodate a wide variety of hardware configurations. Taken as a whole, this research offers a simple, generalizable framework, as well as an accessible tool for measuring the carbon footprint of almost any computation.

This text focuses on the dominant visual culture current policies, its relationship with the market and the partnership of this relationship with art. Information (visual) that indicates the actions of storing and disseminating information is a traditional form of activity that all cultures frequently resort to through art, from the first ages to the present. Because it is known that the functionality of the image is encountered even in cave painting in the history of civilization and the first data are these paintings built with communicative concern. Nevertheless, the real (purposeful) informatic image emerges in church murals in medieval Christian Europe. These (communicative) images, which emerge as an activity of the dominant system to convey itself, are informatic messages in terms of the meaning they are loaded. Accordingly, the image is always communicative between culture, market, system and individual. With this aspect, image is a type of information that enters the field of visual culture and turns into a kind of communication opportunity and it is clear that this has a transdisciplinary feature. As it can be understood, from the depths of civilization history to the present, visuality is a part of the activity of directing/managing the masses. It is also obvious that these possibilities have changed according to the visual culture instruments of the age. Like defined above, the individual interacting with the system according to the needs of the age is under the control of cultural relations networks. In this context, McLuhan pays attention in her text Medium is the Messages that the social structure came under the control of the media in the 1960s. Today, it can be said that this situation is beyond what the author claims and that the age of visual culture we live in has absorbed all the components from art to design, from artist to designer, from individual to society, into the system. Thus, a universe picture emerged in which almost all cultural productions turn into fictions that are blessed/glorified in terms of being art and/or design; in this universe built in the possibility of visual culture, visuality, which has a transdisciplinary character, has turned into a kind of communication opportunity.

Health literacy refers to individuals' ability to possess the necessary skills to make informed decisions about health-related issues. Individuals with adequate health literacy can read and understand written materials and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of graduate theses on health literacy in Türkiye and determine the direction of research topics. Since health literacy is associated with areas such as the preservation and improvement of individual and public health, and the reduction of healthcare costs, it is important to examine studies conducted in this field and conduct content analysis. In this study, content analysis was performed on theses (122 master's theses and 21 doctoral dissertations) with access permission on the YÖK National Thesis page. Theses that include the concept of health literacy in the fields of nursing, midwifery, and public health were included in the study. Parameters such as advisor title, page number, date of study, university, research design, sample group, objectives, results, and keywords were used in the research. The data were analyzed using SPSS and MS Excel, and descriptive statistics were applied. 2022 is the year in which the topic of health literacy has drawn interest the most since 2011, and studies have been concentrated in the field of nursing. Generally, descriptive, and descriptive-cross-sectional designs were used as research designs (30.8% and 35%, respectively). In these theses with different sample groups, mostly patients and adults were studied (25.9% and 25.2%, respectively). The objectives of the thesis studies generally focused on examining and correlating health literacy levels and diseases. There is also a tendency to determine the levels of health literacy and examine its impact on healthy living. Studies on health literacy for parents and caregivers were found to be less common than others. In the conclusion sections of the theses, it was emphasized that increasing health literacy levels is necessary for creating a healthy lifestyle and improving disease management. In addition, it was observed that studies that adapt scales and develop education materials/plans to increase health literacy are generally doctoral dissertations. Based on the examined studies, it is recommended that studies on health literacy for parents and caregivers be increased. It is also recommended that education materials used in studies be disseminated to more people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and improve disease management.

The design of new buildings in historical cities is an important area of debate and study in the field of architecture. The interaction between all buildings built during the historical process forms one of the fundamental foundations of this area of discussion. This interaction, in turn, produces unity between buildings. Newly designed buildings that fit into the historical fabric of a city become an integral part of that city. They also exert a direct influence on the totality. When speaking of the totality of a historical city, all currently existing buildings are included. In this context, it is critical that there be strong interaction and controlled cohesion between historical and new buildings. This unity can be achieved by studying the interaction between buildings from different thematic points of view. The hypothesis of this research is that the interaction between buildings, setback distances, the boundaries of building proximity, the distances between buildings, and their proximity are directly related. This research addresses the concept of setback distances, building proximity boundaries, which has received less attention in the existing literature. In this research, the Odunpazarı Modern Museum (OMM) in Eskişehir, Turkey, was investigated. The reasons for selecting this building include "demonstrating a unique perspective among examples of new structures designed in historical Turkish cities," "establishing distinct relationships and interactions with historical buildings located in the southeast and northwest in relation to the boundaries of building proximity and through various forms of interaction" and "the changes in interactions due to the changes in the boundaries of proximity resulting from the demolition of buildings over time". The research conducted highlights that setback distances play a direct role in the interaction between newly designed structures in historical cities and existing historical buildings. This interaction can lead to either positive or negative outcomes. Therefore, this context emphasizes the importance of accurately determining in advance the boundaries and spacing between buildings in areas where new architectural designs are to be located in order to avoid damage to the surrounding area and other structures. In order to ensure the preservation of the various values and allow controlled relationships that prevent their erosion, it is recommended that the relevant institutions carry out their work in accordance with these principles and take appropriate measures to create a well-structured interaction.

The minimalist lifestyle is to maintain a simple life in many areas of your life, such as things, clothes, food, exercise, money, time, and technology. The minimalist lifestyle is intertwined with the concept of sustainable consumption. In sustainable consumption, a person consumes only as much as he needs, does not spend limited world resources on luxury aspirations. This lifestyle shows people that happiness comes with simple living, not consumption. In this study, the scale of minimalist lifestyle determination has been developed in terms of environmental bioethics. After the literature review, expert opinion was taken for the item pool created, and statistical studies of the scale were carried out accordingly. Afterwards, the pilot study of the scale was carried out. Scale sampling was applied after the arrangements made after the pilot study. The universe of the study consists of employees (academicians, administrative staff and others) of two universities and all individuals who agreed to participate without going to the sample selection were included in the study. The sample consisted of 408 people. As a result of statistical studies carried out after sampling of the scale, the scale was finalized. The scale consists of 25 items and 3 dimensions. These dimensions are called “Minimalist Life”, “Sustainable Environment” and “Time Management”.

There is a significant relationship between the concepts of supremacy with servitude in Sufism. The entity that accepts God's Deity also feels contended to worship Him. For an individual who thinks of nothing other than Allah's consent, to fulfill the provisions of God, to have the skills that He wishes builds up the passion to sustainably turn to the Almighty and the desire to see the Creator everywhere. Therefore, a life without God cannot be considered for presence. Because, for a believer, it is the main goal to maintain a God-centered life. It will be possible for a believer to live a life in compliance with the acquiescence of Allah by fulfilling the commandments of Allah in the verses stated in the Qur'an.Inasmuch as the worships that Allah expects are unformal deeds that are done with pure and whole love, a worship that is deviated from the purpose that Allah expects will lose its feature of worship. Knowing God is not restricted to symbolic devotions. On the contrary, worship encompasses all deeds that will prevail up and delight the God during the life of an individual in the realm. Allah has determined the life ordonnance of humans in the world, has allocated the essential provisions for their lives and has wanted to worship only to Him by following these rules. The God has also stated that people who act against to His provisions obey to creatures that will satisfy only their own soul, not to Him. He has estimated that those who act in this way shirk against their Almighty and have been deprived of God's manners. It has been pointed out in this study that the sense of religion that is an innate and natural feeling can be come true by only worshipping to the God. Furthermore, it has been remarked in the lights of verses of Quran that God is the only Lord of the world, only the Divinity can judge for all things and supremacy, the virtual aspect of religion is much more important than the theoretical part of religion.

It has been pointed out in this study that the sense of religion that is an innate and natural feeling can be come true by only worshipping to the God. Furthermore, it has been remarked in the lights of verses of Quran that God is the only Lord of the world, only the Divinity can judge for all things and supremacy, the virtual aspect of religion is much more important than the theoretical part of religion.","PeriodicalId":353952,"journal":{"name":"SOCIAL SCIENCE DEVELOPMENT JOURNAL","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135437958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
Building customer-oriented supply chain is a critical strategy that businesses adopt to gain competitive advantage and increase customer satisfaction. This approach requires focusing on customer demands and needs. The 4R approach (responsiveness, resilience, reliability and realignment) developed to build a customer-oriented supply chain provides a solid foundation for the development of the strategy in this context. Businesses can increase customer satisfaction with the ability to respond to rapidly changing demands. Durability and reliability emphasize the ability of supply chains to cope with unexpected challenges, while business process reorganization increases operational efficiency. Similarly, the 4C approach (coordination, collaboration, capability and connection) developed to create customer-oriented supply chains encourages integration throughout the entire supply chain. Coordination and cooperation between businesses ensures efficient information sharing and resource management. Therefore, it aims to create an efficient and flexible structure by connecting all components of the supply chain. In this study, 4R and 4C approaches, which are developed to gain competitive advantage and create flexible and efficient supply chains that are compatible with customer needs, will be presented with examples from the literature. These approaches are essential for successful competition in today's dynamic business environment.
