Potentialities and Barriers of Online Psychotherapy During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Scoping Review COVID-19大流行期间在线心理治疗的潜力和障碍:范围审查

Abstract The pandemic of COVID-19 demanded unprecedented efforts from psychologists to adapt to technology-mediated care. This study aimed to analyze the scientific production concerning the perception of Brazilian psychologists on online psychotherapy during the pandemic through a scoping review. We consulted four databases, while the reviewed corpus comprehended 29 studies. Psychologists identified both benefits and barriers in the transition to online psychotherapy practice, but the perception that the sparing use of this resource is valid and beneficial predominated. There is a strong perception that information and communication technologies will definitely integrate the repertoire of resources used by psychotherapists, as another relevant alternative, posing the need for further studies.

Legal Psychological Assessment in Custody Processes in Brazil: Professional Practices 巴西羁押过程中的法律心理评估:专业实践

This research aimed to understand the structuring of psychological assessments in custody actions and, on the other hand, to identify the existence of homogeneity or heterogeneity in these practices. Twenty-nine Brazilian legal psychologists participated in this study and answered an online questionnaire built based on the literature. The analysis of the results was carried out through deductive and semantic Thematic Analysis, whose previous categories were created based on national and international guidelines. The most salient results indicate some divergences from the literature, but that its actions and dimensions are compatible with those found in the literature. Based on these results, a guide of systematized practices is proposed, aiming to promote greater uniformity in parental assessment.

Invitation to Mathematical Psychology: Models and Benefits of Formal Theorizing 数学心理学邀请:形式理论化的模型和益处

ABSTRACT In most areas, psychological phenomena tend to be explained only through textual constructions. Several authors, however, point to the need for theories that have a more formal nature, based on mathematical reasoning. In order to encourage broader access to its applications, we present the models and advantages of a mathematical psychology approach to the study of behavior. We review the limitations of verbal theorizing, then a common taxonomy in mathematical psychology follows, that classifies formal models as descriptive, process characterization, and explanatory. As well succeeded cases, we examine the mathematical psychology of decision making, of helping behavior, of memory, and of romantic relationships. Finally, we discuss the potential benefits and uses of this approach. Welcome to mathematical psychology.

ABSTRACT This work aims to know what correlations can be found among psychological, neuropsychological, neurobiological, and immunological measures in a group of men who have sex with men negative for anti-HIV-1/2 antibodies which have sexual risk behaviors. Statistically significant correlations were found among certain behavioral, emotional, personality, neurobiological, and immunological variables. The circuit of interactions among depression, stress, neuroticism, and conscientiousness stands out, which could indirectly explain risky sexual behavior. In summary, there is a relationship between personality characteristics, mood disorders, risk behaviors, and an activated T cell profile.

Parent Training Procedures in Mental Health Field: A Systematic Literature Review 心理健康领域父母训练程序:系统文献回顾

ABSTRACT We sought to answer which procedures have been used to train parents within the mental health field, how often the behavior skills training (BST), as well as its components, is used, and how effective such procedures are. In order to do so, a systematic literature review, using the Education Collection ProQuest database, was conducted. The search terms used were “behavior skills training”, “parents”, and its correlates in Portuguese. Papers published between 2010 and 2019 were analyzed, focusing on parent training procedures and their effects. Among the 28 analyzed papers, 4 of them used BST. The remaining studies used some of its components. Twenty-four studies were effective on changing parent behavior. Issues that still require more empirical investigation are discussed.

Abstract This study investigates the system justifying role through belief in a just world (BJW), testing whether institutional trust is related to this belief and whether this relationship depends on specific socioeconomic and political factors. A research with 381 university students, aged 18 to 64 years (M = 22.4, SD = 6.25), explored their BJW and their degree of institutional trust. Regression and moderation analyses revealed that BJW relates to institutional trust only in left-wing and with lower income participants. We believe this occurs because they need more an ideology that justifies the system to trust the institutions. This phenomenon can prevent these people from pursuing structural social changes since the system is now seen as fair.

Abstract This article presents a systematic review of empirical studies on teacher training in school bullying through goal analysis, research design, participants, dependent and independent variables, taught content and skills, training results, and research limitations. Ten databases were consulted, with 12 articles being selected. Although the studies involve teachers as participants, teacher training in bullying has not yet been the subject of study itself, as only four of the analyzed studies evaluated the effect of training in relation to the teacher. The lack of a detailed description of training contents, study procedures and lack of baseline and follow-up were important limitations. Possibilities for future research are discussed.

Objectification Theory: Applicability in a Sample of Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil 物化理论:在巴西南部地区的适用性

Abstract The applicability of objectification theory on undergraduate female students from Rio Grande do Sul was analyzed, examining if the constructs of self-objectification, self-surveillance, appearance anxiety and body shame worked to predict disordered eating and depressive symptomatology. Participants were female undergraduate students from Rio Grande do Sul. Two quantitative, cross-sectional studies were conducted. On the first one (n = 622), the psychometric characteristics of the adapted instruments (English-Portuguese) were evaluated. On the second one, only data provided by Psychology students (n = 371) was used to test the framework using the innovative method of Bayesian Networks. Results indicate that the tested variables predict outcomes related to depression and eating disorders, partially explaining the gender disparity in the development of these pathologies. Objectification theory is useful to understand how the phenomenon can affect the mental health of Brazilian women.

Affective Relationships Among Siblings in a Situation of Institutional Care 机构照料情况下兄弟姐妹之间的情感关系

Abstract The purpose of this article is to identify the relationships of affection that exist between children/adolescents institutionalized in the same shelter. Data collection was carried out in two sisters hosted in Brasília-DF, through field notes, documentary analysis script, theme-story drawing, collage and semi-structured interviews. The indicators arouse from the results, which guided the organization of two of the sense zones, based on the methodology developed by Gonzalez Rey: a) The family of origin and the affective memories; b) Institutionalization and affection in the fraternal relationship. The importance of the sibling group was identified for the establishment of the sense of security, protection and pre-disposition for more positive and resilient attitudes.

Bullying on Adolescence: Psychological Assessment with Projective Methods (Paris School) 青少年恃强凌弱:投射法心理评估(巴黎学派)

ABSTRACT This work aims to assess the psychological impact of school bullying on adolescents. This study is about an exploratory clinical-qualitative research with multiple case studies of four teenagers, who had been victimized by bullying acts aged between 15 and 17 years old. This study applied the following instruments: Semi-structured interview; SCL-90-R scale; Rorschach Method and Thematic Apperception Test (Parisian School). The results show depression, anxiety, non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal attempts. On the SCL-90-R Scale, five out of nine psychopathological factors stood out in two cases. On Rorschach, the coercion and extroversion predominate as a Type of Intimate Resonance. Thematic Apperception Test results points lability and rigidity. The presence of bullying points to an own psychological dynamic in each case.
