Planar Log-periodic Antenna Array for Millimetric 5G Band 面向毫米5G频段的平面对数周期天线阵列

The article presents a fully planar antenna array that is wideband, high gain, and usable at millimeter wave 5G frequencies. The article details the design process and measurement results, with the antenna shown to have stable and high measured gain averaging 10.27 dB over the 24–28 GHz band of 5G. The antenna array is made by laser-etching on Taconic RF-35 substrate, achieving compact size of 30.0 mm × 26.3 mm × 0.250 mm. The fully planar antenna is compatible with multiple low-cost realization processes and is compatible with IoT 5G applications due to its wideband capabilities and high performance.

Nonreflecting Boundary Condition for the Free Schrödinger Equation in 2D 二维自由Schrödinger方程的非反射边界条件

For the numerical solution of wave equations formulated on unbounded domains, one has to restrict the computational domain to a bounded one. It is well-known that imposing any arbitrary boundary condition at the fictitious boundary leads to unphysical reflections. Further, in problems where exact Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps are available, their numerical implementation poses a serious challenge. This work addresses the numerical implementation of one such nonreflecting boundary operator of the form for the free Schrodinger equation on a rectangular computational domain with periodic boundary condition along one of the unbounded directions.

A TE/TM Polarization-independent Frequency Upconversion Based on PC 一种基于PC机的TE/TM非极化上变频

Frequency conversion like second-harmonic generation and sum-/difference frequency generation plays a vital role in many applications. Currently, almost all nonlinear devices based on the second-order nonlinearity operate in the polarization-sensitive mode which has greatly restricted their applications. Therefore, it is desirable to obtain a polarization-independent operation for frequency conversions. In this work, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a paradigm of TE/TM polarization-independent frequency upconversion by leveraging the PC and second-order nonlinearity. i.e., sum frequency generation, in the periodically-poled lithium niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) ridge waveguide. With a proper transverse electric field, the fundamental waves of TE and TM mode can be frequency-up converted with an equal efficiency in the frequency converter. Also, by taking the advantages of the LNOI ridge waveguide, the applied voltage is as low as 14.1V in the device. The conversion efficiencies for TE and TM polarized inputs are balanced from 0:1 to 0.3:0.3. The TE/TM polarization-independent operation can be accessed at different wavelengths via a temperature tuning. The proposed method could be used in all-optical wavelength conversion and upconversion detection technologies.

A Miniaturized MIMO Antenna with Dual-band for 5G Smartphones 用于5G智能手机的小型化双频MIMO天线

In this paper, a miniaturized multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with dual bands is designed. The MIMO antenna is composed of 8 elements, each of which is evolved from an inverted-F antenna with a ceramic substrate. The ceramic is used to reduce the size of the antenna element, achieving a 68% size reduction. The measured results show that the impedance bandwidth (reflection coefficient < -6 dB) of the MIMO antenna is 3.4-3.93 GHz & 4.5-5.3 GHz, the isolation is over 10 dB, the envelope correlation coefficients (ECCs) are lower than 0.15.

Effect of Children's Stay on Aerosol and Concentration of Light Air Ions During Speleotherapy in the Cisarska Cave 儿童停留对洞穴治疗期间气溶胶和轻空气离子浓度的影响

Speleotherapy is a therapeutic method mainly for asthma using the specific conditions of underground spaces, here karst caves. A significant effect of low concentrations of allergens, dust particles is reported. The value of permittivity and higher conductivity of the limestone walls of the cave play a decisive role. This is due to both the high humidity in the karst cave and the high concentration of light negative ions. Both of these factors co-create a favourable speleotherapy cave environment. The Cisarska cave contains many small lakes and is very clean. This is ensured by regular cleaning of the cave with a stream of water and controlled visitation, when it is not accessible to ordinary tourists. The treatment plan is designed in the light of long-term experience and shows good results. In the present paper, the concentration of light negative ions was monitored in relation to the surrounding weather, in particular the effect of temperature, atmospheric pressure and vegetation condition on the concentration of light negative ions. This measurement was carried out in several rounds and showed the different recovery time of the cave depending on the external weather conditions. At the same time, the concentration of aerosols in the cave was measured, as these can be affected by light air ions. The particles with the smallest radius took the longest time to sediment, while coarse particles were removed from the space the fastest. As a result of the research, the average recovery time of the cave during the stay of a group of pediatric patients was determined.

Support Vector Machine to Recognize Hand Motions Using Body Worn Flexible Antenna 基于体戴柔性天线的支持向量机手部运动识别

Microwave signal based human activity recognition technique using Support Vector Machine (SVM) is proposed in the paper. The paper has employed a flexible patch antenna and exploited the impedance characteristics for the detection of different hand activities. The antenna is embedded on hand to capture the variation of the input impedance due to the hand motions. The experiment has considered six elderly subjects and attached the patch antennas to their wrists. The impedance data sets for six different hand activities are collected and analyzed for activity recognition. The Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) technique is used for extracting the features from the real and imaginary impedance data set. A supervised model is employed to analyze the original and the augmented data sets. Application of SVM on the raw data sets bestows 90.62% classification accuracy whereas using the support vector machine combined with data augmentation and DWT technique offers classification accuracy up to 95%. Moreover, the experiments reveal that out of six people two have a tremoring illness and two are suffering from slight tremors which may be an indication of a neurological disorder.

Inverse Opal Photonic Crystals: Fabrication and Raman Enhancement Properties 反蛋白石光子晶体的制备及其拉曼增强特性

Thin films of inverse opal photonic crystals (PhCs) based on ethoxylate trimethylolpropane triacrylate (ETPTA) were prepared from opal-type templates by photocurable resin polymerization. Methylene blue (MB) dye was introduced into pores of inverse PhCs as a Raman active component. Raman spectra were recorded at different wavelengths and angles of laser light incidence for samples with different positions of the photonic stop band. A pure effect of the stop band on the amplitude of spontaneous Raman scattering peaks were established for inverse opal samples without and with Au nanoparticles (NPs).

Received Signal Strength Prediction Using Generative Adversarial Networks for Indoor Localization 基于生成对抗网络的室内定位接收信号强度预测

The popularity of WiFi networks has led to the adoption of fingerprint-based WiFi localization as one primary method for indoor location tracking. However, this technique requires a significant amount of time and effort to collect data at numerous reference points (RPs) to ensure accuracy. To reduce the cost and improve efficiency, generative models can be used to generate received signal strength (RSS) fingerprints. This paper proposes a Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Network (DCGAN) based model for building RSS fingerprint maps that can generate a comprehensive fingerprint database using only the location of a wireless access point. The proposed approach is expected to lower the cost and effort involved in the collection of RSS fingerprints while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Earthquakes are disasters all over the world. Every time human civilization occurred and developed in the past on the earth with a history of 5 billion years, it was destroyed by a major earthquake. Therefore, it is common global earthquake science to study global earthquake prediction and earthquake prevention. We call on the United Nations to establish a worldwide center for earthquake science. Only then will it be possible to organize and support seismologists all over the world to truly predict earthquakes, save human beings, and save the earth. Otherwise, earthquake scientists who really study global earthquakes track earthquakes all over the world without a unified economic support, they will be reduced to scientific wanderers wandering around the world. Thanks to charitable organizations all over the world, community rescue organizations, CSA, earthquake scientist Professor Majer, Professor oridtsglio, and Qiaoyi Town, Wangcheng District for their great support. The global earthquake science presided over by Professor Xie Qianquan has made a breakthrough. Our this paper is different from our paper [1], In paper [1], “using the aftershock inversely to study the earthquake” is proposed that is local method. In this paper, the global and local earthquakes GLEQ are studied by using the global and local seismic, electromagnetic, acoustic, fluid, thermal, microwave coupling forward and inverse calculation method and the related measurement data. Earthquakes have become the overall distribution and global massive disasters trend of the whole earth. Earth's 5 billion years of history, many of the rise of human civilization are destroyed in the earthquake. Therefore we call for, First the establishment of an administrative science organization for earthquakes all over the world, i.e., International Earthquake Sciences Center, including the World earthquake Science Police. We have to study not only earthquakes on Earth, but also lunarthquakes on the moon, marsthquakes on Mars, Saturnthquakes on Saturn, and so on. The corresponding author of this paper proposes that the earth and Mars are the neighbors of highly intelligent human beings in the solar system. However, on Earth and Mars, the periods of human rise and fall are staggered, not simultaneous. In the present period when humans on Earth are thriving, there is a quiet period when humans on Mars perish, but without recovery. Immigrating to Mars is an urgent task of the era for the earth humans to open up the world and the universe to seek a new living space from 2030 to 2038. Microwave Thermometry of Brain Tumors: A 2D Computational Feasibility Study 脑肿瘤微波测温:二维计算可行性研究

In this paper, we investigate the possibility of monitoring temperature changes in brain tumor during hyperthermia treatment using differential microwave imaging. This application can provide in-line and real-time temperature monitoring during hyperthermia treatment. The target of hyperthermia treatment is a tumor located in the brain. The evolution of temperature within the tumor corresponds to changes in its dielectric properties that are then reconstructed using differential microwave imaging using Born's approximation. For this task, we have adopted two matching media, the first on being a water bolus and the second one being a standard matching medium for head microwave imaging. We analyze the transmission coefficient of microwave signal penetrating from matching medium into head and provide initial reconstructions for both matching media. For the second matching medium only, a feasibility study is performed to determine the optimal working conditions using root mean square error metrics. The best reconstructions are provided to demonstrate the potential of differential microwave imaging in pursuing the temperature monitoring task.
