Today, the mass media (mainstream) still occupies an important role. In this regard, the mass media can play an important role in language development, especially Indonesian. The variety of languages that exist in society affects the language of the mass media. On the other hand, the language of the mass media also affects the language in society. This research design is qualitative. The variable studied was BIRJ's foreign language vocabulary. Qualitative research design is considered the most relevant to be applied in this study because this research is exploratory and is not intended to test hypotheses. In data analysis, the following activities were carried out: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. In terms of sentence types, foreign language words are found in both direct and indirect sentences of BIRJ. In this case, there are at least three kinds of phenomena, namely (1) foreign language words without explanation, (2) foreign language words with descriptions, and (3) foreign language words as descriptions. Regarding word writing, foreign language words are still found in BIRJ which are not written with foreign language writing rules and foreign words that have been absorbed are written with foreign language writing rules.

The initial design of the study was carried out using pre-tests. The treatment is done by using the Jigsaw model. To find out the results of the treatment, posttest was given. The method used in this research is classroom action research, where class action research is carried out using only one treatment cycle. Based on the results of the study stated that learning outcomes by applying the Jigsaw model can improve learning outcomes writing skills scientific paper papers. The results obtained from the average pretest of 70.25 compared with the average posttest results was 85.5.
