Pain management in infants is crucial during painful care. This work evaluates the effect of breastfeeding on procedural pain, measured by the Neonatal Infant Pain Scale score. A rapid review included nine randomized controlled trials (RCT) on PubMed, comparing breastfeeding with other techniques (maternal contact, sucrose, etc.). Breastfeeding significantly reduces pain compared with maternal contact, and is comparable in efficacy to sucrose. Despite methodological limitations, this simple and effective technique could be integrated into pain management in pediatric rehabilitation. Further studies are needed to clarify its benefits.

A qualitative survey of state-registered nurses and state-registered nursery nurses working in neonatal intensive care units highlighted their difficulties in effectively managing the pain and discomfort of extreme premature babies on a daily basis in their first weeks. Needs were identified in terms of training, research, particularly nursing research, and support.

[Identifying infants at risk of NDT by assessing general movements].

Recent work has focused on the value of assessing general movements (GM) in the early identification of the risk of autism spectrum disorder in infants. As illustrated by a clinical case and a review of the literature, atypicalities in GM - such as poor movements or reduced complexity and variability - reflect a bodily fragility that can complicate the baby's relational engagement. Very early intervention on these difficulties has shown a benefit in terms of the quality of interactions.

[The use of parent-recorded stories in the care of children with multiple disabilities]. [

The care of multi-disabled children in a facility remains complex, and their severe neurological impairment requires caregivers to constantly question their approach to care. Their stay in a facility is long, sometimes their whole life, which can lead to changes in their relationship with their parents. Their reactions in the presence of their families often differ from those observed with carers, with more smiles and positive expressions. Hence the idea of recording the parents' voices, to be used as a soothing support and to include the family more closely in their care. The impression of improved well-being among the children encouraged the caregivers to evaluate the project objectively.

Dysgraphia, a neurodevelopmental disorder, can be diagnosed and, in addition to the resources available to therapists, rehabilitated using an interactive tablet that analyzes aspects invisible to the naked eye, such as pressure, inclination and speed of the tracing.. This data, which is highly informative on handwriting quality, enables more detailed analysis and personalized rehabilitation for each patient.

The sharp increase in activity at medical-psychological centers for children and adolescents, combined with the growing complexity of children's clinical situations, calls for a paradigm shift in practice at these facilities. The team at the Mérignac CMPEA at the Charles-Perrens Hospital in Bordeaux, which has integrated advanced nursing practice, is proposing to tackle this issue by providing a graduated response to the care needs of children with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families.

Neurodevelopmental disorders encompass a range of clinical pictures that begin in childhood and are linked to particularities in brain development. They have an impact on aspects of a person's life such as learning, perception and regulation of emotions, and socialization. The aim is to shed light on the understanding of these disorders, with reference to theoretical and practical bases for identifying and caring for the children concerned.
