Université Paris-Est Créteil offers a gateway to the second year of a nursing training institute after the first year of a Health Sciences degree. Eight students entered the second year of nursing training institute via this gateway. At the end of session 1, seven of them were able to move on to the third year of nursing training institute. The results are encouraging, both in terms of theoretical knowledge acquisition and qualitative feedback from students.

Able to work in any sector, with patients of any age and from any socioeconomic or cultural background, the state-qualified nurse is a front-line player, likely to come into contact with victims of violence between (ex) intimate partners. For many professionals, coercive control is still a new concept. Yet all caregivers should be familiar with it, in order to be aware of and understand domestic violence. This article, based on the experience of a nursery nurse, looks at the ways in which such violence can be identified, particularly during maternal and child protection missions.

In this article, the authors wish to offer the product of their reflections on the concept of coercive control, and share various findings from their day-to-day practice. The text should be read as an invitation to clinical reflection on the conceptualization of a specific form of abuse. Reflection on this approach, initially ignored by the authors, has enriched clinical thinking on certain care situations.

It aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and integrate advances into professional practices and (psycho)education. To this end, we present the conceptual evolution of coercive control and the perpetrators' behavioral patterns, their risks for victims and professionals, their devastating impact on the rights and biopsychosocial health of adult and child victims, and the challenges posed by technology, particularly generative artificial intelligence.

This article examines the integration of a Clinical Nurse Reasoning (CNR) model into advanced nursing practice training to develop the clinical reasoning skills of advanced practice nurses. The article explores the contribution of Callista Roy's conceptual model of adaptation and presents a global analysis of a complex care situation that justifies the introduction of an CNR model paired with nursing knowledge to ensure comprehensive, quality nursing care.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a public health problem. However, the management of patients with CKD is confined to the diagnosis of the disease and its conventional treatment by dialysis or renal transplantation. The aim of this article is to describe the specific characteristics of patients suffering from kidney disease and to determine their needs according to the stage of their renal disease.
