Since the submission of the report on the health of healthcare professionals in 2023, this subject has become part of the public debate. The health crisis was a powerful reminder of the importance of improving and preserving the health of health and social care professionals. Today, this has become an object of research and action in its own right, with numerous initiatives being structured and federated across the region. But we need to go further. A societal and political project must commit each and every one of us to take action to care for those who care for others.

The "Habitudes de vie saines" program, deployed since 2022 at the Angers university hospital (CHU) in partnership with the École des hautes études en santé publique, is a health promotion program dedicated to all of the establishment's employees, i.e. 7,000 people. This primary prevention program aims to encourage health-promoting behaviors among staff, and to help them establish or maintain healthy lifestyle habits over the long term. To this end, the CHU is transforming its physical environment to multiply the opportunities that reinforce motivation to act.

Faced with professional and personal constraints, many caregivers neglect their own health. To address this issue, the Prevention & Work Center at Hôpital Foch, set up in 2023, offers employees and students access to specialized care and group workshops, with no out-of-pocket expenses, thanks to a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Committed to research, the center also develops innovative collaborations and promotes a culture of prevention.

The Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris. Nord - Université Paris Cité is embarking on a process of continuous evaluation and quality improvement of its placement policy, by transposing the 'patient tracer' method to the situation of the 'trainee tracer'. The aim is to take into account the experiences of students and the healthcare professionals who work with them, by analysing each phase of the placement process (before, during and after) and exploring the links with training institutes. Currently focused on nursing students, the aim is to extend this approach to the entire paramedical training sector.

"Cultural Safety, a decolonizing approach critical of the research conceptual frameworks and of care practices in nursing, has enjoyed since its emergence in the 1990s a growing success in New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Being reworked and adapted to new contexts, its political dimension however loses its importance, raising concerns about Cultural Safety's potential for systemic transformation and the fight against health inequalities affecting Indigenous peoples. At the heart of this debate lies the question of "culture" as a means of patient emancipation vis-à-vis the norms of the dominant society and the expertise of caregivers, a debate we seek to clarify in this article.

Healthcare professionals face major psychosocial risks (burn-out, addictions, exhaustion). Despite their commitment to caring for others, they find it hard to ask for help. In France, access to healthcare for caregivers remains inadequate. It is important to understand the specific obstacles they face, in order to propose appropriate solutions, such as the creation of dedicated care facilities. Integrating this subject into initial training is essential, and could be inspired by the experience of the "Soigner les soignants" inter-university diploma.

Quality of care, attractiveness of the healthcare professions, embodiment of prevention messages: these are all issues linked to the health of caregivers. In response to the many alarming observations made, the association Soins aux professionnels de la santé (SPS) has been playing a central role for ten years, offering psychological support and prevention initiatives. Through its initiatives, SPS defends a strong conviction: preserving the health of caregivers, to improve the lives of all.

This article sets out ethical reflections in relation to the clinical practice of psychic care in the prison environment. Through a rereading of certain philosophical concepts, the author finds a way to reflect on the care of incarcerated patients, and attempts to adapt her practice to the ever-increasing intrusion of the judiciary into health care.

As the number of cancer treatments increases, new specific toxicities are emerging, requiring early and specialized treatment. The Gustave-Roussy center in Villejuif, near Paris, has set up a multidisciplinary toxicity pathway (ImmunoTox multidisciplinary consultation meeting, day hospital, mobile team). This includes an advanced practice nurse to optimize the management of undesirable effects, improve quality of life and mobilize all related skills.
