Gamification is a concept that has not been analysed thoroughly for its positive outcomes or challenges. Although the effects of gamification in the field of education have been studied from numerous angles, gamified organisational learning features and the overall contribution of gamification have not been researched sufficiently. Following the implementation of a gamified E-learning platform, we conducted a case study in a Lebanese bank to measure the effects of gamified E-learning. The results showed that the adoption of gamified E-learning and employees' engagement levels were positively associated. Gamification also proved its importance in influencing employees' behaviour by creating a competitive environment and engaging employees on a knowledge-oriented platform. After the implementation, about 65% of employees declared higher levels of work engagement. Moreover, approximately 67% of employees acknowledged a higher degree of job satisfaction. This research paper also indicates the variables that can affect learners' – in this case, the bank employees' – perception of the gamified E-learning platform. Investigating the positive outcomes of implementing gamified processes in E-learning can pave the way for developing more complex gamified e-learning platforms.

In recent years, several forward-looking initiatives have been taken in the direction of digital and sustainability transitions. Digitalisation is also gaining importance in EU, national agricultural and rural development policies, as it can enhance all three dimensions of sustainability and can lead to more efficient agricultural production and development. In this study, we conducted a consistency analysis to identify the interdependencies, impacts, and possible contradictions between the strategic objectives. The analysis compares the EU Common Agricultural Policy objectives with the Second Climate Change Strategy of Hungary (NCCS-2), the National Framework Strategy on Sustainable Development (NFSSD), the National Digital Agricultural Strategy (NDAS), and the National Rural Strategy (NRS) and explores the policy linkages between digital and sustainability transitions. The strategy documents are examined hierarchically between the EU and national levels, with a particular focus on the sector’s important role in climate change mitigation and adaptation-related processes. The results can support the emergence of innovative solutions and activities in rural areas and can contribute to improving the competitiveness of the agricultural sector, thereby supporting both the decision-making process and the achievement of rural sustainability ambitions.

This paper seeks to elucidate the inter and intrarelationships between a selected set of OECD green growth indicators (GGI). In addition to the selected GGI, the analysis includes the Human Development Index (HDI) and its sub-indicators. The novelty of the analysis comes from the incorporation of these established indicators, which have been utilised and developed to reflect human well-being and prosperity for decades. Production-based CO2 intensity and emission change are significantly correlated to average length of schooling across the 36 countries that were members of the OECD in the year 2019. Longer years spent in school on average can facilitate the green transition of countries. The correlations among intra-GGI also suggest where OECD countries are lagging in terms of green transition. For example, renewable energy supply share in energy and air transport-related CO2 per capita are positively correlated in the countries. This indicates that countries with a successful path toward green energy are not paying much attention to their high level of CO2 emissions caused by aviation. Infrastructural and technological advancement as well as increased public awareness are needed to challenge such issues.

In this research, U.S. manufacturing activities' life cycle-based carbon and energy footprint impacts have been quantified, taking international trade linkages with the rest of the world into account. The U.S economy has been integrated into a multi-region input-output (MRIO) life cycle assessment framework where total of 40 major economies, including the USA, China, Russia, and others, plus the rest of the world (ROW) were modelled to assess global energy and carbon footprint impacts. Each country's economy is assumed to compromise 35 major industries based on the WIOD database classification. A total of 1435 (41 × 35 = 1435) industries has therefore been taken to represent the global structure of the world economy. The novelty of the approach is that the MRIO model has been developed in a stochastic fashion, plus global trade-linked uncertainties have also been taken into consideration. Top carbon emitting and energy consumer industries and countries have been analysed using data analytics and statistical modelling methods. The results show that the USA is the largest contributor to the total carbon footprint (CFP) and the total energy footprint (EFP) with 81.73% and 84%, respectively. Moreover, the agriculture/hunting forestry/fishing sector and the electricity/gas/water supply sectors dominate the overall U.S. carbon footprint, contributing 22% and 21.28%, respectively. The coke/refined petroleum/nuclear fuel sector has the largest share of the total energy footprint, with 47.9% of the total impacts.

Agrotourism is a practice that allows the generation of livelihood alternatives in rural areas, reducing hunger and allowing sustainable economic development. In this review, a classification of the characteristics preferred by clients in agrotourism settings has been generated, based on previous research that weighted these characteristics. Clients have been found to value the following in agrotourism settings: a green and clean landscape, the forests, the possibility of buying agricultural products, trying traditional foods, and participating in agricultural activities. These findings offer guidance to those interested in implementing or improving agritourism services.

The importance of student evaluation of teaching (SET) in higher education has increased substantially in the past decades. Despite this increase, there is no consensus on the most efficient way of executing these surveys or about the questions. This study analyses the impact of an SET system reform on the distribution of the responses and the response rate. The reform impacted the questions, the scale used for evaluation, the anchor labels of the scale elements, and the incentives for students to fill out the survey. Our results show that the number of extreme responses increased after the reform, which can be due to the elimination of anchor labels of the middle scale points. Insufficient effort bias also increased; however, the new motivation system doubled the response rate, which helped to collect more representative sets of evaluations. Taking into consideration the relatively small increase in insufficient responses, we believe this incentive can be a valid choice for SET surveys.

Project management plays an important role in the modern economy and public administration. Trends in project management have a significant impact on the performance of companies, public organizations, and programs for the socio-economic development in Russia. One of the interesting developments in project management is the expansion of hybrid methodologies, which combine tools and approaches of flexible and predictive approaches. This article aims to study the forms, results, and types of hybrid project management methodologies through the lens of the concept of organizational ambidexterity. Methodologically, the research is based on a systematic review of the Russian-language scientific literature on project management hybrid methodologies and organizational ambidexterity, as well as a qualitative content analysis of selected papers. The results of the study indicate that there are significant similarities between key aspects of hybrid methodologies and organizational ambidexterity. The authors conclude that hybrid project management methodologies can be considered as the instruments of organizational ambidexterity. As practical recommendations, the authors propose to expand the use of hybrid methodologies in the management of not only project-based firms, but also in other organizations, as well as in the management of socio-economic programs, especially in conditions of high uncertainty. The potential of hybrid methodologies to improve organizational ambidexterity and thereby simultaneously ensure the stability and flexibility organizations makes them invaluable tools to increase the resistance organizations and strategic programs to technological disruptions, socio-economic crises, and global shocks.

The directions of improving the efficiency of economic work and operational efficiency of the company in modern conditions are gradually shifting from the predominant assessment of the main activities to a complex analysis, including auxiliary and non-systemic processes. Such a shift is based on innovative management approaches formed within the framework of the individual functioning of individual commercial organizations, the application of which is complicated by the lack of proven and reasonable ways to optimize activities and increase operational efficiency. The purpose of the study is to identify standardized opportunities to improve the efficiency of the functioning of commercial enterprises based on the use of auxiliary reserves for business processes. The relevance of the topic is determined by the need to develop solutions that provide additional economic benefits to organizations interested in this. The object of the article was to select the activity of private economic organizations from the sphere of transport services, and its subject was their resource base as a reserve for increasing the efficiency of work. Methods of econometric and statistical analysis and modeling, theoretical formulation of promising development directions was used as tools. The results of the article showed the importance of improving operational efficiency to achieve the final financial result of a commercial organization. The development and analysis of optimization solutions aimed at the development and functioning of the company within the framework of orientation to sustainable development were carried out, the negative impact of certain aspects of ESG transformation on the final result of a commercial enterprise was assessed. The economic result of the introduction of the author’s conclusions and recommendations into the workflow of a particular organization was an increase in the effectiveness of its activities.
