The Modified Mathematical Model of Arteriosclerosis onset: Adding the Effect of Repairing Flaws of the Intima 动脉硬化发病的修正数学模型:加入内膜缺损修复作用

The mathematical model of arteriosclerosis onset is modified adding the effect of repairing flaws of the intima. Numerical simulations of the modified mathematical model reveal that the effect of repairing flaws of the intima suppresses the progression of arteriosclerosis. And the numerical simulations also reveal that the rapider improving the number of flaws per unit area of the intima, the greater the degree to which the reduction of the volume of the blood vessel in the arteriosclerosis-causing part is suppressed. However, in case for example the cholesterol concentration in blood is high, the effect of suppressing the progression of arteriosclerosis is small. These results will provide quantitative suggestions for clinical treatment.

Polymeric actuator analysis using bibliometric maps 使用文献计量图的聚合物致动器分析

Humanity is in a continue research and development to find new materials in order to replace the classic ones. Smart materials are one of the solutions. In this article we present a review over the developed actuators in the last years, using polymers. This review highlights multiple type of the actuators, their structure and strategy and classifies them after the application domain and their main objective. Using VOSviewer we built bibliometric maps to present the importance of items as “performance”, “force”, “system”, “actuation”, etc. for the development of new actuators.

A FEM Model for the Cathodic Corrosion Protection of Reinforcing Steel in Concrete Structures Exposed to Chloride Contamination 氯离子污染下混凝土结构中钢筋阴极腐蚀防护的有限元模型

This study developed a bi-dimensional model of a steel-reinforced concrete (RC) structure under cathodic protection against corrosion using the Finite Element Model (FEM) based Comsol Multiphysics software. Two small RC samples’ frontal geometry was considered from a reported experimental study, tested here against corrosion in a chloride environment. Those samples had different rebar diameters (10 mm and 16 mm). The reported specific electrochemical parameters and material properties were selected through this numerical investigation. The cathodic protection system’s optimization process was based on identifying the appropriate external applied potential $E_{app}i$ which lowers at minimum the corrosion rate. In this purpose, the first average corrosion current density iFe under the value with minimum corrosion risk (of 0.1 $mu A/cm^{2}$) was identified for both models. For Model 1 with rebar diameter of 10 mm, a safe iFe value of 0.087 $mu A/cm^{2}$ was attained $E_{app}i=-0.225V$, and for Model 2 with rebar diameter of16 mm, $i_{Fe}=0.085mu A/cm^{2}$ at $E_{app}i=-0.15$ V.

Material Functions to Characterize the Rheometry of Complex Fluids 表征复杂流体流变特性的材料函数

The work reports the experimental investigations of complex fluids rheometry in the presence of patterned surfaces. The goal of the study is to explore a novel procedure to detect the shear rates domain where possible wall depletion might be present. The measurements are performed in simple shear with the Anton-Paar MC301 rotational rheometer, the samples (xantan solution and grease) being located between a smooth plate and a special manufactured lower plate patterned with pillars. The rheological behavior of the samples in the tested configurations are characterized by two material functions: (i) the flow curve $sigma(dot{gamma})$ and (ii) the differential viscosity $boldsymbol{eta}_{d}=boldsymbol{d} sigma / boldsymbol{d} dot{gamma}$, where $sigma$ is the shear stress and $dot{gamma}$ is the shear rate. The experimental data put in evidence an instability region, which is related to the plateau of the flow curve and possible apparent slip at the walls. The existence of the yield stress is also discussed.

Examining the Performances of a Low Power Photovoltaic Installation 低功率光伏装置的性能检验

Low power photovoltaic installations must ensure the necessary energy level requirements of the installation’s beneficiary. At the same time, it must be conform to the legal regulations and norms. When a photovoltaic installation is to be delivered into the power supply network, its operating parameters must be closely monitored. In this work we present the results of our monitoring of a low power photovoltaic installation. Upon examination of the voltage variations, of the currents, of the voltage and current harmonics, we conclude that the installation we studied does indeed fulfill the necessary requirements for connecting to the national power grid. Examining the energy levels consumed by the beneficiary, we find that the photovoltaic installation cannot continuously ensure the required energy levels, which recommends the acquisition of an additional photovoltaic installation.

Influence of FGM layer on the distribution of the electric field in DC cable joints insulations FGM层对直流电缆接头绝缘中电场分布的影响

This paper presents the results of a study regarding the influence of a Field Grading Material (FGM) on the electric field and temperature distributions in the insulations of a power cable joint model. The computation was performed at steady state for a cable joint insulation consisting of Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) installed for a cable with Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. The presence of the FGM layer leads to important modifications of the electric field values, especially near the corners of the cable joint inner semiconductive layer. The results also show that the maximum electric field and temperature values, as well as the surface charge density values present at the interface between the insulations are lowered by using a FGM layer. This leads to reduced electric stresses and charge injection. The reduction of the surface charge density values also reduces the values of the residual electric field and leads to a slowdown of insulation ageing.

Digital Multimedia Television System 数字多媒体电视系统

The paper provides a functional solution for design and implementation of multimedia TV systems from a technical and practical aspect. The multimedia TV system can be used as the educational laboratory and in the TV content production. The paper shows structure of a TV system, functional block diagram of implemented video and audio system with enabled connections of the devices in the system. In paper is presented a method for connecting TV equipment for professional production and broadcasting but also can be used as educational laboratory. The implemented TV system is designed to produce content of various video formats, so that content can be transmitted and produced up to 4K resolution. The laboratory is designed in that way where all signals that are received and sent can be analyzed and measured. The laboratory is implemented at a higher education institution and also can be implemented in other educational institutions, as well as in professional television stations.

Comparative Analysis of Planar Phased Arrays, Evenly Distributed and Uniformly Excited, with Square Aperture and Circular Aperture 方形孔径与圆形孔径均布均激平面相控阵的比较分析

This paper presents a comparative analysis of planar phased arrays, uniformly excited and evenly distributed in rows and columns, based on data obtained by means of a software program for the calculation and graphical representation of the sum and difference patterns (mono pulse). The program provides the possibility to calculate and graph the patterns for a planar phased array (half-wavelength dipoles), in the absence of mutual coupling between the antennas in the array. Calculations and graphs, performed for both an array with a square planar aperture and an array with a circular planar aperture, show that, at similar results (opening, gain), there are at least two net advantages of the circular planar array respectively, the number of antenna elements is lower (which implies a lower cost price) and lower levels of side lobes to the patterns.

Portable Self-Orientation System for Hand Movements Compensation 便携式手部运动补偿自定位系统

This paper contains the description of a platform with two degrees of freedom which is controlled by two electric actuators. Being actuated only by two actuators, the platform can be made in miniature. In the present document the realization of a platform with two degrees of freedom is presented that can maintain the horizontal position of an object up to 10 N. The efficiency has been demonstrated by testing the device while walking and having as object a container with liquid. The purpose of the study is to minimize the costs of making such platforms and their widespread use in various fields (e.g. cup holder that can be mounted on car dashboard). The project is completely original and by choosing another processing system and other actuators and through improvement of algorithms a device for vibration elimination (e.g. the hand tremors) can be accomplished.

Thermal Effects of Pulsed Magnetotherapy on Implants 脉冲磁疗对植入物的热效应

Magnetotherapy is applied as an efficient physiotherapy method in the process of recovery, following orthopedic injuries. If the bone fracture is unstable, a compression plate is needed; it is maintained for a long period after surgery, approx. one year, while intensive recovery is required, including magnetotherapy. The effects of this method can be analyzed by numerical simulation, using computational domains, tailored to the personalized anatomy of the patient.This study is concerned with the numerical modeling of the magnetic field problem and the heat transfer problem associated with magnetotherapy, using a three-dimensional computational domain that reproduces the bone and the tissue obtained by imaging reconstruction and a CAD design of a titanium compression plate that is fixed across the femur. In this paper, the coils are energized with a pulsed current, which allows adjusting the electromagnetic energy delivered to the body.
