This paper analyzes technological process of the main fractionator, and takes improvement of product quality as the control target. The control algorithm based on chain system is brought forward. Two major factors which affect quality of the crude gasoline endpoint are found out. It builds a chain system model that is made up of two related chains and designs the prediction algorithm and the chain control system for the crude gasoline endpoint of the main fractionator. The simulation indicates that the designed chain system model, not only enhances the quality control, but also achieves the purpose of smooth operation, the edge of control, and improves economic benefit of the FCCU.

A Wireless Ad hoc Network consists of mobile nodes with energy constrained batteries. In this paper, we have proposed an Optimized Lifetime Multicast Tree (OLMT) algorithm that constructs a minimum energy multicast tree resulting in minimum total transmission power consumption, thereby increasing the lifetime of the network. We observe that, simulations carried on NS2 provides significant improvement in the number of multicast requests realised when compared with earlier works.

In this paper, to cope with parametric uncertainties in the nonlinear dynamical model of a flexible robot arm a Lyapunov based adaptive nonlinear output feedback control strategy directly based on tip position and strain gauge measurements is investigated. Effectiveness and performance of the controller in vibration suppressing and fast motion duration tracking capability is shown through simulation.

A robust control technique for permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSM) using adaptive backstepping sliding mode control (ABSMC) is presented. Considering the lumped uncertainties with parameter variations and external disturbance for an actual PMLSM drives, a backstepping sliding mode control law is derived by backstepping design technique. However, the bound of the lumped uncertainty is difficult to obtain in advance in practical applications. An adaptive law is proposed to adapt the value of the lumped uncertainty. Comparing with the backstepping sliding mode control (BSMC), simulated results show that the ABSMC possesses better position tracking performances and robustness to uncertainty for PMLSM drive, and reduces evidently the chattering of ABSMC.

In this paper, a method for developing optimal bidding strategies for load server entities (LSE) is presented. The market structure consists of a day-ahead market and a real time market. The LSE's objective is to minimize the total cost of purchasing power from two markets. Given the expected demand and the two market price forecasts, the quantity which should be purchased in each market and demand bid curve are derived. The problem is formulated as a stochastic optimization problem because demand of load server entities and prices of electricity markets are uncertain. The problem is solved by Monte-carlo simulation, and a numerical simulation is performed using California power market data.

The electromagnetic torque ripple is one of the most important drawbacks of the Direct Torque Control for Induction Motors using Matrix Converters at low speed. This paper investigate the use of multiple voltage vectors of Matrix Converters to reduce the electromagnetic torque ripple which appears when Direct Torque Control technique is used in Induction Motors. The standard look up table for Direct Torque Control is improved in order to include the multiple voltage vectors (long voltage vectors, short voltage vectors and zero voltage vectors). A hysteresis comparator with five-level output is proposed to determine the small and large torque errors and consequently the electromagnetic torque ripple is reduced. Finally, the simulation results have verified the feasibilities of this novel control strategy.

While IEEE 802.16 standardizes the PHY and MAC layers of wireless metropolitan area networks (MAN), optimal scheduling which is crucial in providing QoS, remains to be an open issue. In this paper, we propose an optimization based uplink scheduling algorithm which aims at maximizing the throughput while guaranteeing the negotiated QoS parameters for all connections. Unlike typical strict priority schedulers the proposed scheduler is able to satisfy the requirements of higher priority connections while not letting the lower priority connections to be neglected. Additionally, a parameter is defined to ensure fairness among rtPS connections. The scheduler's performance is then evaluated through simulations.

In this paper, a control strategy of active suspension based on the fuzzy logic control has been investigated. Using incorporating feedback from force sensor at front and rear active suspension system, the control system shows the improvement of the dynamic responses of the vehicle. A multi degree-of-freedom nonlinear model is co-simulated by MATLAB/Simulink and ADAMS/car. The simulation results indicate that the proposed active suspension is very effective in the vibration isolation.

A new extension recognition based on matter-element theory is presented, which can be used to solve the problem of recognition. The application of extension recognition of risks recognition in Internet banking shows its feasibility. In addition, the method enriches the theory of the intelligent disposal of contradiction problems.

A novel computer graphics and computer aided geometric approach is used for machining a complicated shape workpiece and lettering on a 3D free surface or a plane by adopting a novel 3-DOF(Degree of Freedom) parallel robot. Based on the geometry constraint and dimension-driving technique, a 3-UPRR parallel simulation mechanism and its workspace are created. Then a 3D free surface and a guiding plane of tool path are constituted, and combined with the 3-UPRR parallel robot. Finally a novel 3-UPRR simulation parallel machine tool for machining a 3D free surface is created. By real-time controlling two driving dimension on the guiding plane, the process of machining complete. The simulation results are verified by the analytic results. The computer aided geometric variation approach has the advantages of simple and straightforward, without any need of compiling program.
