The Effectiveness of De Bono's Six Thinking Hats Technique in the Development of Critical Thinking and Numerical Sense in Mathematics Education in Oman 德博诺的六顶思考帽技术在阿曼数学教育中培养批判性思维和数字意识的有效性

. The primary goal of education is to develop the students' minds, including critical thinking and numerical sense. To develop these skills, a teacher is well-advised to use modern techniques and one of these is De Bono's Six Thinking Hats technique. We hypo thesized that De Bono’s technique applied to teaching math would substantially increase the skills of students. Participants in the experimental group ( N = 34) received a treatment based upon the Six Thinking Hats technique, and participants in the control group ( N = 35) received an alternative treatment. Data were analyzed using means, standard deviations, t -tests, and effect sizes. Skills increased much more for the experimental group. It is clear that the Six Thinking Hats technique was highly effective in developing math skills, and various reasons were discussed. It is recommended to consider extending the use of the Six Hats technique to the teaching of all the mathematics courses in secondary education, and focus on preparing activities that enable students to practice critical thinking skills and numerical sense.

Teacher Education System In Indonesia: A Comparative Study 印度尼西亚教师教育制度的比较研究

. This article explains that the teacher education system in pesantren, in the colonial period (especially the Dutch colonialism), and in the independence era (especially in 1950-1969 and during the Pre-service PPG which began in 2018), was strictly carried out starting from the selection of prospective students to the educational process, thus producing quality teacher candidates. Prospective students are strictly selected from academic and moral aspects. During education, the students must live in a dormitory so that the development of academic, teacher and moral aspects takes place optimally. After graduating, they are appointed as teachers with adequate salaries. Except for pesantren graduates who are not prepared as formal employees, but as teachers of community guidance in the non-formal sector.
