This study discusses community interaction with students from Pattani, Southern Thailand. As international students living in Bandung, they faced some challenges, especially concerning interaction as social capital for survival. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach to the Pattani Selatan Thai students who live in the Cipadung Village, Cibiru District, Bandung City. This study found an open interaction between the Cipadung community and students associatively, giving birth to good cooperation in various activities such as celebrating national holidays and Islamic holidays. Pattani Selatan Thailand students carry out social interactions that are openly driven by internal factors from within or psychological and external sociological factors. The interactions that occur are not yet entirely ideal because there are still many limitations and obstacles such as cultural customs, language, ethnic prejudice, and differences in interests. However, students from South Patani Thailand still have an excellent opportunity to interact with the community through the learning process and adaptation of South Patani Thailand students by learning local languages and customs.

The establishment of the Islamic State of Indonesia (NII) led by SM. Kartosoewiryo at the beginning of the independence period. In historical references, NII was declared a rebel movement, so the Government eradicated it with a military operation (posse operation), and its leader was executed on September 5, 1962. However, NII's struggle did not end just like that. After Kartosoewiryo, NII was divided into several factions, namely NII Fillah in Garut, led by Sensen Komara, whose existence until now. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, from written or oral information, people's behavior, and interpretations of the world around them. The purpose of this research is to understand the world of meaning symbolized in people's behavior. Using sociological analysis and historical analysis, the study found that NII Fillah, led by Sensen Komara, was a continuation of NII Kartosoewiryo after experiencing several leadership changes from Jaja Sudjadi Bakar Misbah. NII Fillah argues that the Islamic State is a political force to enforce Islamic law and is the only tariqah in implementing the system and regulation in the nation's life and state. The relationship between religion and state is an inseparable concept, that religion needs a state or a political entity so that religion can be perfectly applied. Fillah NII religious movements in Garut include; rejection of the election, raising the red and white flag of the star and moon, and converting from RI to NII without changing the existing structure.

This study aims to find out how the peusijuek tradition as a means of mediation which is a relic of Hindu culture and deeds considered heretic so that it is not following Islamic law is still preserved in Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, in which researchers directly obtain information from direct interviews and thorough literature review. In conducting this research, the researcher used the cultural functionalism theory, according to Malinowski. The theory of functionalism explains that the elements of culture have a relationship and reveals specific patterns or at least the reasons for these patterns to survive and be recognized by society. The peusijuek tradition as a means of mediation in the middle of Islamic law in Aceh has a significant role in society, because it has certain functions, namely as a carrier of prosperity, to expect blessings, maintain harmony between citizens, and preserve cultural heritage. Until now, peusijuek has become a social reality and has become an identity for the people of Aceh, especially the people in Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar District.

This study focuses on the existence of ethnic Chinese in Peunayong Village, Banda Aceh City. Ethnic Chinese have been associated with Indonesia hundreds of years ago. Ethnic Chinese came to the archipelago to establish cooperation in terms of friendship and also in trade. The relationship between Indonesia and the Chinese ethnic group continued, especially in the Kingdom of Aceh until the Dutch East Indies colonial rule. The article will discuss how the life of the Chinese ethnic group during the Dutch East Indies colonial era until today. The aim is to find out about the existence of ethnic Chinese in Peunayong Village and the relationship between Acehnese ethnic and Chinese in that place. This paper uses secondary research methods, namely research that utilizes secondary data, existing data. Secondary data can be in the form of research results data, it can also be documentary data on institutional administration. It is hoped that knowing the existence of the Chinese ethnic group can make a difference in society and not cause conflicts.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi, faktor penyebab dan pandangan orang tua terhadap pendidikan anaknya sehingga banyak anak sekolah yang putus sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sukamanah Kecamatan Paseh Kabupaten Bandung sebuah kawasan pertanian di pinggiran Kota Bandung. Secara umum penelitian ini didasarkan pada metode deskriptif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kehidupan keluarga petani di Desa Sukamanah sangat rendah baik dari segi sosial ekonomi, pendidikan dan lain-lain. Faktor penyebab anak putus sekolah di masyarakat Desa Sukamanah antara lain faktor ekonomi; faktor rendahnya minat melanjutkan sekolah; faktor kurangnya kesadaran dan perhatian orang tua, faktor kurangnya sarana prasarana sekolah, dan faktor budaya. Adapun pandangan orang tua terhadap pendidikan anaknya sangat beragam, dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang pendidikan dan status sosial ekonomi dan budaya di sekitar mereka. Demi kemajuan bangsa, Pemerintah di sini harus terus mendorong kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pendidikan bagi anak putus sekolah.

Kajian ini membahas orientasi kerja mahasiswa Islam asal Patani, Thailand, setelah lulus perkuliahan dari UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Dengan fokus penelitian pada alumni asal Patani lulusan tahun 2012-2015, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi pekerjaan mereka dan mengungkapkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi orientasi kerja mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pilihan rasional Coleman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif-deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel sumber data dilakukan dengan teknik purporsive sampling dan snowball sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan triangulasi (gabungan) dan bersifat interaktif dan kualitatif yang lebih menekankan pada makna daripada generalisasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam hal orientasi kerja mahasiswa Patani di UIN SGD Bandung pasca-kelulusan sebagian besar memiliki keinginan mendapat pekerjaan sesuai dengan latar belakang keilmuannya masing-masing walaupun ada sebagian mahasiswa yang memilih pekerjaan di luar dari latar belakang keilmuannya. The theory used to analyze this research is the theory of cultural inheritance from Hari Poerwanto about the processes and forms of inheritance and the theory from Pierre Bourdieu about habitus, capital, and arenas, which are related to the survival of a community group. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach in which data is obtained directly from the object of research. This data was collected using techniques: observation, interviews, and literature study. The research results found in Kelurahan Regol, Garut, West Java show that the process of cultural inheritance occurs where the environment in which there is a community group tends to dominate. Culture as the habitus of society has not yet supported the progress of the community's economy because the social capital they have is less able to bet on an increasingly competitive arena. Thus, it causes a weak economic culture related to society's passive response when it collides with cultural phenomena and economic development that is not progressing.

This study aims to determine the social construction of the Batujaya temple complex, Karawang, West Java in maintaining local wisdom. This study uses Peter L. Berger's social construction theory, which sees society as a process that takes place in three dialectical moments at once, namely externalization, objectification, and internalization. The social construction of society has a long journey from the past to the present, and the future. So that in society a social reality is created. The method used in this research is a descriptive method, which is a type of qualitative data to describe, analyze, and reveal events that occur in the field. The data sources of this research are the village government, community leaders, temple maintenance workers, and the temple community. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. In addition, it is also equipped with secondary data in the form of reference books, tourism profiles in the form of brochures that are relevant to the research theme to support data in the field. The results showed that in order to maintain local wisdom, the people of the baths still maintain their belief in animism and dynamism. Relations between local communities are built through a process of adaptation, interaction, and socialization. Efforts to regenerate local wisdom are carried out through integrated socialization to schools and creating a tourism-loving community.

In the context of the Malay world, Islam and the Malays are not inseparable. Islam is the "a-gama", "a way of life," "system and way of life" or more precisely, "al-Din" and Malay are also race and adherents. It seems that Islam is strong and strengthening the Malays, while Malays are strong and strengthened with Islam. In the context of Taj al-Salatin, the issue of leadership (al-Imamah wa al-Khilafah) or the issue of the rulers (al-Ra 'i wa al-Ra'iyyah) was seriously debated. Is it in parallel with the Qur'an and al-Hadith, and fulfilling the reference and the framework of Islamic political thought is interesting to study. Apparently, it also presents examples from non-Islamic sources that certainly invite controversy. Collected data is analyzed in a comparative basis based on qualitative methods. The main objective of this article will be on leadership issues, the rulership of the people (al-ra'i wa al-ra'iyyah) from the perspective of Islamic Political Thoughts with the results hoped to help Islamic politics and Malay politics to go along and align to fulfill and realize Islam as "Din al-Hayat" and Malay as one of the ummah of "umam muslimah" who became his supporters and supporters to achieve his excellence and glory not only in the context of the Malay World and the Islamic World.
