Predmet rada je analiza osnovnih semiotičkih odlika brenda lista Politikin Zabavnik u toku 2001. i 2002. godine. Prateći modele koji razvijaju učenje A. Ž. Gremasa, prilazimo analizi brenda lista sa stanovišta strukturalističke semiotike. Koristimo se interpretativnom analizom sadržaja, semiotičkim kvadratom i modelima aksiološke valorizacije. Utvrđeno je da se brend realizuje na tri nivoa: (a) kao fizički objekat na kiosku; (b) kao sadržaj u nastao u procesu enuncijacije; (v) kao apstraktni koncept. Proces enuncijacije (kreacije) ostvaren je u procesu utopijske valorizacije, a enuncijator (kreator) minimalno je prisutan. Brend neguje sva četiri oblika valorizacije: utilitarnu (kroz koncept znanja), ludičko-estetičku (kroz igru i umetnost), utopijsku (koja dominira kroz težnju za izmeštanjem iz realnosti) i kritičku (koja je uglavnom prikrivena). List se u komunikaciji sa čitaocima konceptualizuje na dva načina: (a) personifikuje se kao brend-ličnost u komunikaciji sa decom; (b) u komunikaciji sa starijom decom i odraslima učestvuje redakcija. Brend je realizovan kao čarobno sredstvo/čarobni pomoćnik koji pomaže čitaocu (junaku) da stekne sposobnosti neophodne za život (naglasak je na fazi kompetencije).

Recent research in second language acquisition has put significant emphasis on the study of identity, seen as a dynamic, multiple, and context-bound phenomenon reproduced in social interaction. This goes hand in hand with the rise of interest in qualitative research methods, most notably narrative analysis. In this paper we aim to explore the intertwined relationship between identity, capital, and investment from the perspective of foreign language teachers teaching abroad (FLTTA). These teachers are a specific type of glomads, professionals who live and work abroad, frequently transgressing social, linguistic, and cultural spaces and borders. Our respondents were 4 French and 3 Croatian FLTTAs and we elicited their personal narratives via semi-structured interviews. We draw on the comprehensive model of investment proposed by Darvin and Norton (2015) to answer the following questions: 1) How do various ideologies structure identities and investment of FLTTAs? and 2) What are the forms of capital they invest in order to position themselves as FLTTAs? Our study confirmed that investment depends on factors that constitute various ideologies of space and language ideology which are often intertwined. When it comes to various forms of capital that our respondents possess and use to invest to position themselves as FLTTAs, their narratives predominantly point to linguistic capital, education, and their national or ethnic identity.

Der Gegenstand der vorliegenden Arbeit sind Literaturkritiken auf deutschen und serbischen Internetportalen, die in dieser Onlineform in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten überhandnahmen und dadurch den Literaturkritiken in Printmedien, die immer häufiger gekürzt und weniger gedruckt werden, einen Schritt voraus sind. Die Literaturkritiken auf den ausgewählten Portalen werden durch analytische und komparative Methode in Bezug auf wertende Kriterien hinterfragt, die für eine gute Rezension bürgen und bei der Besprechung von literarischen Texten angewandt werden. Es wird überprüft, ob und in welchem Maße auf den Portalen autorisierte Texte erscheinen, ob die unterzeichneten Namen die Fachkompetenz vorweisen und in den veröffentlichten Texten die wissenschaftlichen Kriterien bevorzugt werden, ob ferner die fachlichen Kompetenzen keinen externen Faktoren, wie dem Druck von Verlagshäusern und marktorientierten Geschäftsregeln, untergeordnet werden. Schließlich wird hinterfragt, in welchem Maße auch die Rezensionen einem weiteren Begutachtungsverfahren als Kontrollmechanismus unterzogen werden. Die Analyse der genannten Faktoren soll dazu beitragen, einen besseren Überblick hinsichtlich der Erhaltung der Voraussetzungen für eine gute Literaturkritik auf den Internetportalen zu verschaffen.

The differences in first language usage between men and women have been studied for many years. However, the impact of gender with regard to second language acquisition has not been frequently studied. Therefore, this paper offers an explorative study whose aim is to clarify whether male or female gender of students affects their second language acquisition, i.e. their final examination results at a university level, and if yes, in which amount. The research focuses on English and Spanish as second languages at a private university in Belgrade, Serbia. It also offers a statistical overview of the learning outcomes of Italian, German, Chinese, Russian and French language. The paper includes both quantitative analysis, studying numerous variables which are relevant in language acquisition, and qualitative analysis, with the aim of additionally explaining, analysing and comparing quantitative results. Research results show that male students have higher grades in English, whereas female students outperform in Spanish, which proves gender to be one of the relevant factors in second language acquisition.
