Digital transformation of railway transport management systems opens new opportunities allowing to improve efficiency of rail shipments being one of the main modes of transportation for various industries and for passenger transportation as well. Practical implementation of dynamic energy management principles is one of the most important directions of transport sphere digital transformation. This article is addressing the procedure of railway transport energy management within targeted time frame on the basis of developed algorithms and models which may be used as a keystone for implementation of digital tools for power supply systems management. The paper is proposing to evaluate efficiency of controlling actions from the viewpoint of (i) aggregate damage minimization by means of mathematical modeling of forecasting processes and (ii) damage assessment in the entire time interval. As a result, criteria of prediction accuracy and basic parameters influence thereon have been defined. The paper describes methods to select facilities for energy management and derives mathematical models enabling the researcher to fairly disclose specific features of electrical power consumption on railway transport on the basis of implementation of energy management digital algorithms. Keywords—railway transport, energy consumption, digital transformation, digital technologies, digital model.

The food industry is centralized around one major element the consumer. The changing expectations of consumers drive the industry. The dominating advantage of purchase triggers such as price, taste and convenience during the past years started losing positions to such factors as health, safety and experience. These drivers of the consumer value equation are based on the overarching factor – transparency. In the case of the agri-food sector the consumer is not able to access transparent information about the product if end-to-end traceability across the supply chain is not available. Based on the case study example, it was defined that there is a need for technology that can bridge information flow in the chain and can potentially ensure traceability for end consumers. The pineapple supply chain was chosen as an example for this study in order to narrow down the scope. This study was based on a qualitative approach, with the usage of such data gathering techniques like desk research and semi-structured interviews. For the analysis of the data, such methods like content and narrow analysis were used. The result of the analysis showed that blockchain technology could be seen as a perspective tool for the traceability in the pineapple supply chain. Furtherly, based on the analysis of the internal processes in combination with outcomes of the technology expert interviews and desk research the technology integration concept was defined. It was concluded that even though blockchain can be seen as an effective solution for food chain traceability, there is still a need of the market research that should prove the hypothesis regarding the need to the traceability in the food industry.

In the 2000s, the federal authorities, realizing the importance and significance of the shipbuilding industry, its effect on the economy, took a whole range of measures for prospective development of the industry that shall meet the needs of the national economy in cargo shipping. The purpose of the paper is to determine the effect of measures of state shipbuilding support on the volume of sea and inland water cargo shipping. To achieve this goal, the paper provides a comparative analysis of the development of the transport system of Russia as a whole and its individual structural components based on the official statistics. The obtained results are rechecked using linear and nonlinear second-order polynomial models. As a result of the study, it was found the absence of statistically significant patterns that reflect the increase in cargo shipping by sea and inland water transport. Consequently, the increase in government support for shipbuilding and the active development of the seaports infrastructure have not significantly effected on cargo shipping yet. At that time, the negative trend of reduction in sea freight traffic was overcome in 2017 that should be considered as a positive point, indicating the presence of certain prerequisites for subsequent growth. Blockchain is a new technical innovation based on distributed ledger technology, which, according to the literature, promises to improve supply chains by facilitating trusted transactions. Due to its immutability it can help eliminate third parties, which traditionally intermediate between the parties involved in transactions. Large multinational companies that have major influence in supply chains can easily rape the benefits of blockchain, however, small and medium size enterprises (SMEs), which together generate 99% of the added value of the Dutch economics, do not have the means to achieve this. Therefore, this research poses the question, which user cases exist already and which opportunities do they offer for SME’s to create value. The paper answers this question based on literature and the analysis of 70 user cases. Based on the analysis the SMEs are advised, which of the following five strategies to follow, ignoring it, waiting to see the market developments, make use of blockchain services offered by the new blockchain based middlemen, such as the supply chain finance, paperless and market platform solutions, integrate in existing blockchains of multinationals as Maersk or create their own blockchain. The existing technological structure of the electric power industry has reached the limit of its efficiency and in the future will lose its high competitiveness compared to the digital energy solutions. One of the key global trends in the development of the fuel and energy complex in current-day realities is the modification of digital and intelligent process solutions in the management of production capacities of the energy industry. Energy digitalization in the domestic market as a process has been launched relatively recently, but already now this phenomenon is a positive impact to the development of the fuel and energy complex of our country. Active implementation of digital technologies in the internal and external business processes of enterprises results in innovative business models that ensure the future competitiveness of the industry. The current-day realities impose their strict requirements for the domestic energy market, and to take the leading positions, the fuel and energy complex of Russia has to create a fundamentally new and powerful platform, which will be based on a set of measures in key trends mentioned in the Ministry of Energy project “Digital Energy". This study asses the current stage of “digital” energy development in the Russian market. The specifics of “digital” technologies related to the energy industry are evaluated. The main point and features of the implementation of “digital” technologies in the industry of the fuel and energy complex are realized. The business processes of the industrial enterprise EDF are analyzed using the digital technologies. The main trends for development of “digital” energy in the Russian Federation are identified. The digital technologies propose creation and implementation of new methods for communication with consumers. The digital technologies affect all critical elements of the organization as such the possibility of integrated survey concerning the readiness for these transformations.
