Research on LVRT of the doubly-fed induction generator wind power systems 双馈感应发电机风力发电系统LVRT研究

This paper proposes a novel integrated approach to realize the LVRT (Low Voltage Ride Though)[1]. The paper adopting different protect strategy in view of the different voltage dips, to achieve the unification of the reliability and safety. The paper adopts the improved strategy when the grid voltage dips slightly, and when the voltage dips seriously, the crowbar circuit is applied. Finally, the combined LVRT protection is verified by the MATLAB/SIMULINKE.
本文提出了一种新的集成方法来实现LVRT (Low Voltage Ride through)[1]。针对不同的电压降采取不同的保护策略,实现了可靠性与安全性的统一。本文在电网电压轻微下降时采用改进策略,在电网电压严重下降时采用撬棍电路。最后,通过MATLAB/SIMULINKE对LVRT组合保护进行了验证。

Vacuum Interrupters: Design optimisation requires reliable experimental data 真空断流器:设计优化需要可靠的实验数据

Vacuum interrupter technology is mature with respect to manufacturing quality, reliability and performance. One would expect that this leads to a convergence in terms of conception resulting in a dominating design principle. Yet still a large number of designs and dimensions coexist in the market. Numerical calculation techniques are used to optimise the geometry in order to reduce the overall dimension of the VI. This approach requires criteria for maximum allowable electric field or current density values. Yet a look at the state of the art shows that the maximum allowable electric field may vary at least by a factor of 2 and current density on interruption by 20% depending in a subtle way on process parameters. Mastering these details is the drive to more compact designs and new applications.

Experimental research on the comparison of the arc characteristics between DC 270V and DC 28V 直流270V与直流28V电弧特性对比实验研究

In order to fulfill the increasing need for high electric power and to decrease the weight of electrical equipments, the supply level must be increased and the electrical apparatus has to be upgraded accordingly. In our present work, experiments are carried out to compare the arc characteristics on break between DC 28V and DC 270V under the conditions of different current and transverse magnetic fields (TMF). The current is lower than 10A, and the flux density is below 100mT. Arc images are acquired with high speed cameras and arc voltage waveforms are obtained. Arc characteristics such as arc duration, extinction gap, displacement of arc root are analyzed. Experiment results show that under the same break power, TMF is more effective in arc inhibition under the condition of DC 270V compared with DC28V. The work can offer some guide for the design of arc extinction system for DC 270 V relays.

Discussion of damage induced by trigger pulse at different repetition frequencies in GaAs PCSS's 不同重复频率触发脉冲对GaAs PCSS损伤的探讨

The paper focuses on the light damage induced by nanosecond laser pulse with 1.06µm wavelength at high repetition frequencies in switch materials by comparing the resistivity values when the switch is on/off, discusses the damage mechanism. Experiment indicates that input laser with different repetition frequencies may cause different temperature rising speeds on the surface material, when the laser repetition frequency less than 1 kHz, the temperature accumulation effect in the material dose not perform significantly, and When the pulse laser is at high repetition frequency, the temperature rising rate in the laser irradiation area gets faster.

Recognition of Partial Discharge in oil-paper insulation based on Analytic Hierarchy Process 基于层次分析法的油纸绝缘局部放电识别

Partial Discharge (PD) is the main cause of insulation deterioration in oil-paper insulation which is the common structure in power transformers. PD signals contain sufficient information of insulation status and thus PD measurement becomes very important to early detection or even prevention of insulation failure. The type of PD can provide even more information about the PD defects and the analysis of them can provide effective guidance for taking further measurements. PD in different kinds of defects involves different discharge mechanism, which can be reflected by the difference of Phase Resolved Partial Discharges (PRPD) pattern and parameters. The differences provide the basis for the research of pattern recognition. In order to recognize PD, five kinds of typical defect models were prepared to simulate the typical actual defects of oil immersed transformer in the thesis. Through K-W test, 11 features with the strongest ability of classification are chosen from statistical operators of PRPD pattern. Based on the chosen features, in the case of being trained by small sample, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to recognize these typical PD, and the results recognized by AHP are compared to those which are recognized by Artificial Neural Network (ANN) in the same condition. The results shows that the recognition accuracy rates gotten by AHP are all above 85%, are better than which is gotten by ANN, this lays a foundation for the typical Partial Discharges recognition under the premise of small sample.

Fault diagnosis of vacuum circuit breakers based on ID3 method 基于ID3方法的真空断路器故障诊断

Point out several common vacuum breakers' fault causes and the existing method of determining circuit breaker failure. On this basis, in order to locate the fault type of vacuum circuit breaker more quickly and accurately, try to use the ID3 method to apply to the fault diagnosis of vacuum circuit breaker, the simple sample set was collected and putted in the table, ID3 method was used to calculate. By analyzing and calculating, such method is verified practically, and it provides a new idea for the fault diagnosis of vacuum circuit breakers. It can be seen from the results that ID3 method can more quickly locate the common faults of vacuum circuit breakers, which is helpful to eliminate the fault and maintain the stability of system. Meanwhile, ID3 method is very convenient to deal with a long list of non-numerical characteristics of the property model, thus it is appropriate to apply to the vacuum circuit breaker fault diagnosis.

Non-contacting evaluation schemes of contact surface damages with several optical techniques 几种光学技术的接触面损伤非接触评价方案

Several optical techniques are explained in this paper, which can be used obtain three-dimensional and numerical information on contact surface deformations. One of them is a digital scanning laser microscope (SLM), which has been confirmed to enable us to successfully obtain various useful data including three-dimensional surface images of contact electrodes after operations with electrical loads, as well as numerical measurements of resultant arc damaged surfaces (for example, the crater depth, the pip height, the transferred or eroded volume). Beside such a commercially available apparatus, the authors have been constructed original evaluation systems. Those include a new system provided by way of an optical cross-section method. This system enables us to observe and numerically evaluate a growing process of contact surface damages (especially, growth of a crater) during switching operations. Surfaces of electrodes operated in an inductive DC circuit with 14V and several amps were actually evaluated with the above-mentioned several techniques.

Study of harmonic elimination in switching devices in STATCOM STATCOM开关器件谐波消除研究

At present, static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) has the problem of switching harmonics generated by the device, this paper proposes a better method that the cascade multilevel inverter as the master topology of STATCOM combines SPWM (CPS-PWM) modulation, and describe the working principle of STATCOM and the control methods. This method can effectively eliminate high harmonics and low harmonics, and obtain a better output voltage waveform. Finally, through the MATLAB simulation, it can found that the method can reduce power consumption; also doubly improve the equivalent carrier frequency, and significantly reduce the content of the output harmonic, so as to make STATCOM better achieve reactive power compensation.

Electrical contact phenomena in switching technology - Arc discharges in switching contacts 开关技术中的电接触现象。开关接触中的电弧放电

Arc discharge phenomena upon opening and closure of switching contacts operated in load current ranges up to several tens amps are briefly summarized. Based on the electrical circuit conditions, different types of arc discharges will occur when contacts are opened. Such arc discharges will have certain influences on contact reliability and lifetime through material transfer and erosion, formation and deposition of arc products, and resultant increases in contact resistance. Arc discharges upon contact closure can be basically considered as breakdown, although break arc discharges can be also observed at contact bounces. Moreover, the author's recent studies indicate that the “minimum arc current value” of contact materials is not actually the lower limit of break arc occurrence and its interpretation should be changed.

DC arc fault: Characteristic study and fault recognition 直流电弧故障:特征研究与故障识别

DC arc fault introduces major safety concerns in a wide variety of power electronic applications. However, the randomness and instability of dc arc makes it difficult to be detected. In this paper, an experimental system to study the characteristics of series dc arc is designed and different tests were conducted in order to determine the influence of different factors to the arc such as gap length, current, etc. During the experiments, the load current was varied from 6 A to 30 A and dc source voltage was changed from 75 V to 300 V. Also, dc arc fixed power supply voltage and load current but changing gap length were conducted to examine the influence of arc length. Based on the experimental results, a primary V-I characteristics study was carried out. Current variation analysis was performed to investigate the pulse patterns of the arc current for detection purposes. The results of this paper provide insights of the dc arc characteristics as well as methods for dc arc fault detection.
