Problem statement: One of the most important factors in the success of sports activities is the level of psychological readiness. The most significant indicator of psychological readiness is the ability to qualitatively regulate athlete’s activity, behavior, and mental state by their own psychic means (i.e., the ability to selfregulate). At the same time, there is not enough insightful research in sports science and in this area of knowledge. Purpose: To determine the nature of the relationship and links between the psychological characteristics of young basketball players and the specific features of their self-regulation. Materials and methods: A total of 160 basketball players (15–20 years old) participated in the study. The methods of selfregulation of sports activity, dispositional state of flow, basic beliefs, and dispositive optimism were used. Results: Correlation links between the indicators of self-regulation of sports activities and the indicators of dispositional state of flow, basic beliefs, and dispositive optimism were revealed. The most significant link was defined with self-inductance and identified regulation. The differences between young basketball players with different peculiarities of self-regulation of sports activity were determined by almost all indicators of the dispositional state of flow, basic beliefs, and dispositive optimism. Conclusions: It was confirmed that the specificity of self-regulation of young basketball players is connected with the peculiarities of the dispositional state of flow, dispositional optimism, and basic beliefs. Through comparison, it is determined that young basketball players with autonomous sports self-regulation have the advantage of almost all indicators of the dispositional state of flow and they have more optimistic views on the future.

: Children experiencing deficits in motor proficiency may have poor communication skills, low physical activity engagement, and difficulties on achieving academic success. Thus, the early assessment of deficits in motor proficiency allows planning an intervention that leads to the minimization of these deficits.Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) present severalmotor deficits, such as balance, coordination, or strength combined with developmental delays in fine and gross motor proficiency. However, there are limited research have been conducted to examine motor proficiency in Portuguese children with ASD. This study was aimed to evaluate the motor proficiency of Portuguese children with ASD and comparewith motor proficiency of the typically developing children. The sample consisted of 10 children with ASD and 10 typical developing children with a mean age of 6.9 years. All children were assessed on their fine and gross motor proficiency using the Bruininks-OseretskyTest of Motor Proficiency-Second Edition (BOT-2). A significant difference was found between the groups (p = 0.02) on BOT-2 subtests. Children with ASD scored significantly lower (25.50 ± 14:34) than their typical developing peers (39.50 ± 11.26). Specifically, children with ASD scored poorly on fine motor precision (p=0:00), manual dexterity (p=0.02), balance (p=0.02), speed and agility (p=0.04), and strength (p=0.04) in comparison to the typically developing children. All typical developing children scored average in their motor proficiency performance whereas 80% children with ASD were categorized as below and very below average, with two children were within the average of motor proficiency. These findings suggest that more research is needed on investigation of motor delays in Portuguese children with ASD to develop interventions to improve motor proficiency in children with ASD.

: The study provides description of football clubs in the context of performance management theory. The research is based on a concept which can explain contemporary role of sports organization as a special business entity. The economic effectiveness of this business branch is not easy to define, as one must first identify the factors that influence it. First of all it is necessarily to understand business models of sports clubs. In the study it is assumed, that sports business operates differently between continental Europe, Asia, Anglo-Saxon countries and other world regions as literature review confirmed. There is a gap in literature studies. The business models are elaborated widely in theoretical and practical way, but concern mostly on profit-orientated companies. As this research confirmed the football clubs in Poland are not profit-orientated. The expenditure of sport clubs raises questions about its operations and effectiveness. So that the aim of the paper is to assess the utility of financial information in managing a football business model. Mostly qualitative research approach was applied in order to understand financials of football clubs. Managerial perspective on football business was included by complementary interview with a manager. The research is based on football clubs from the highest football league in Poland. The financial analysis of football clubs included analysis of income statement and a balance sheet information. The analysis outcomes reconfirmed that football is not a profit orientated business. It determines different attitudes towards management information. The study let us assume that huge part of financial information has low utility to assess football business model. The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of rules changes in water polo on throws dynamics in numerical equality, counterattack and powerplay. The performance indicators observed in the Women’s and Men’s World Championships of 2003 and 2013 were compared. The observational design was nomothetic, multidimensional and follow-up. 8765 throws were analyzed, 4112 in the 2003 championship and 4372 in the 2013. In the women’s competition, the rules changes influenced the following performance indicators of the numerical equality: frecuence (p <. 001) and technique (p =. 001); in counterattack: frecuence (p <. 001), distance (p <. 001) and efficacy (p =. 003); and in numerical desiquality: frecuence (p <. 001), distance (p <. 001), position (p =. 016) and technique (p =. 001). In the men’s competition the indicators that showed dependence with the rules changes were the distance in counterattack (p =. 001) and powerplay (p <.001), and the technique in powerplay (p =. 036). In conclusion, the observational methodology allowed to verify the different effects in the throws dynamics caused by the new rules in both gender.
