Determination of serum bilirubin by the diazo method using the diazotized 3-nitroaniline reacting readily with the photoproducts of bilirubin 用重氮化的3-硝基苯胺与胆红素的光产物易反应的重氮法测定血清胆红素

Summaru We studied the diazo reaction of the water-soluble photoproducts of bilirubin using nine kinds of diazonium salts to select the diazonium salt most suitable for the determination of serum bilirubin. The diazonium salt of 3-nitroaniline was found to be more suitable than that of sulfanilic acid used extensively in clinical practice. This diazonium salt reacted readily with not only bilirubin but also the photoproducts, and the reaction of patients' serum bilirubin was completed in 2 or 3 min. The change in the measurement values obtained using this diazonium salt before and after irradiation with a fluorescent lamp was smaller than that obtained by the enzymatic method or the diazo method using the diazotized sulfanilic acid.

Atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) (10-8mol/l), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) (10-8mol/l), the protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitors H-7 (10-5mol/l) and staurosporin (10-8mol/l) suppressed aldosterone secretion in cultured bovine adrenal glomerulosa cells by 40 to 50 % compared with untreated control cells. When cells incubated with 10-8mol/l angiotensin II (All) were also treated with ANP, BNP, or PKC inhibitors, aldosterone secretion was 50 to 60 % of that seen in untreated cells. ANP, BNP and PKC inhibitors suppressing the expression of PKC, suggested that PKC plays a role in aldosterone secretion. Our results suggest that ANP and BNP may have an unknown second messenger pathway in which the suppression of PKC is essential for the ex-
