New high-through-put bioaerosol enricher and identifier system is reported. Enrichment is realized by aerodynamic deflection of particles have the UV-laser-induced-fluorescence spectra as biomaterials in question. Identification of deflected aerosols is achieved with fluorescent antibody assay within microfluidic cells.

The generation of top-hat light fields and lines by micro-optics is reviewed. Customized beam shapes can be generated by free-form micro-optics. Thus, the beam profile can be tuned to achieve best process parameters in laser-based FPD production.
