Results of a large orbit, high harmonic gyro-twt amplifier 一种大轨道、高谐波陀螺-行波管放大器的研究结果

A 16.2 GHz large orbit Gyro-TWT amplifier has been operated at the eighth cyclotron harmonic with a small signal gain of 10 dB, an interaction bandwidth of 4.3%, and a saturated power transfer from the electron beam to the wave of 0.5 kW. Most importantly, the experimental results are in good agreement with the predictions of the analytic dispersion relationship for the interaction (1), permitting the design of scaled, high performance tubes.

Crosstie overlay slow-wave structure for broadband traveling-wave type electro-optical modulator 宽带行波型电光调制器的交叉叠加慢波结构

This paper proposes a new crosstie overlay slow-wave structure for a traveling-wave electro-optical modulator. This structure can be designed to satisfy the phase velocity and impedance matching conditions simultaneously over a broad spectral bandwidth. This idea can be applied to a number of electrode structures for broadband traveling-wave optical modulators.

Analysis of periodically-illuminated optically controlled CPW phase shifter 周期性照明光控CPW移相器分析

The characteristics of a periodically-illuminated CPW phase shifter is investigated by the spectral domain approach combined with the cascaded transmission line equivalent circuit. It is found that the phase shifter characteristics can be improved by the use of periodic illumination instead of uniform illumination.

Large signal modeling of millimeter wave gunn diodes for planar circuits 平面电路中毫米波二极管的大信号建模

A simple and accurate experimental technique is described to determine the equivalent circuit parameters of millimeter wave (30–100 GHz) GaAs and InP Gunn diodes under large signal conditions for a planar microstrip circuit. The modeling has resulted in the development of microstrip oscillators and VCOs with excellent agreement between measured and calculated performance.

Far-infrared conductivity of yba2Cu3O7–y yba2Cu3O7-y的远红外电导率

We review experimental data on the optical conductivity of YBa2Cu3O7–y Kramers-Kronig analysis shows that in the mid infrared range the optical conductivity is typical of perovskites with a rich phonon structure in the oxygen bond stretching and bending region. In the far infrared a depression of conductivity sets in below the superconducting transition temperature that we associate with the presence of a superconducting energy gap. In all the samples we have looked at there is residual conductivity in the gap.

Broadside coupled striplines and suspended substrate microstrip lines for millimetre-wave applications 用于毫米波应用的宽侧耦合带状线和悬浮基板微带线

This paper presents, for the first time, design models of broadside coupled striplines and suspended substrate microstriplines which can be implemented on personal computers. The models have been obtained from the results of conformal transformation on homogeneous striplines, equivalence of the odd-mode with the quasi TEM mode of covered microstripline and logarithmic regression of spectral domain results. The present models represent at least an order of magnitude improvement in the computation time relative to the present numerical techniques. The design models presented will therefore be vital for fast and accurate computer aided design and optimization of microwave and millimeter-wave filters, couplers, DC blocks, mixers and various other useful circuits.

Modeling of collisional energy transfer in optically pumped far infrared lasers 光抽运远红外激光器中碰撞能量传递的建模

Optically pumped far infrared (OPFIR) lasers have been the subject of extensive theoretical and experimental investigations. A detailed review of this work has been published recently (1). Although many important aspects of these lasers are now well understood, comprehensive modeling of these lasers is very difficult because of the large number of states that influence the lasing and because of potentially nonlinear and inhomogeneous effects of the pump laser. Consequently numerous approximations and simplifications have been required to obtain tractable analytic models. An additional complication has been a lack of the requisite extensive experimental data needed to guide the development of these models. The net effect has been models that extrapolate poorly into new operating regimes (e.g. pump intensity and pressure) and derived parameters that are related to actual physical processes in complicated or unknown ways.

Propagation studies in the region of the oxygen absorption band in an urban environment 城市环境中氧吸收带区域的传播研究

Experimental results obtained from a propagation study carried out on a 55GHz mobile radio link in Central London are presented. Results indicate that frequencies in this region are a viable proposition for a potential mobile radio system from the propagation point of view. The bandwidth in the multipath environment appears to be adequate and polarisation diversity is also a possibility.
