Review of patient safety in nursing 护理中患者安全的回顾

A significant issue in public health is patient safety. Patient safety is a health issue affecting people worldwide, both in developed countries and in developing countries. It is crucial to have a variety of nursing practices, including management, education, and clinics, taking into account the significance of patient safety in terms of the effectiveness of care and patient outcomes. The review found that more work needs to be done to improve patient safety. This includes lowering the number of mistakes, falls, hospital infections, and surgical complications and improving other safety features so that all hospitals can be safer.

Multiple bullae in asthmatic patients 哮喘患者多发大泡

Emphysema bullae are often found in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and if the size of the bulla fulfills > 30% of the hemithorax, it can be called a giant bullae. A giant bullae can be similar to a pneumothorax, requiring a CT scan of the chest to avoid misdiagnosis and unnecessary procedures. The difference between a bulla and a pneumothorax obtained from imaging results is that if the lung collapses towards the ipsilateral hilum it is called a pneumothorax, while the bulla will appear to surround or wrap around the lung. Asthma is a disease characterized by chronic inflammation and bronchoconstriction. In acute asthma attacks or exacerbations, bronchoconstriction causes severe bilateral lung parenchymal inflation.We present a case of a 32-years-old male with multiple bullae, a complete history of tuberculosis treatment and suffering from asthma since childhood but not controlled. In this case, the likelihood of Multiple bullae in asthmatic patients, needs to be a concern, as well as the importance of evaluation and strict follow-up to reduce shortness of breath and improve the patient's quality of life.

Hingula, very well known as Cinnabar, is a chief ore of Mercury. It is available as natural ore and is also prepared artificially. While there are other ores of mercury, Hingula is considered to be the best ore, and Hingulottha Paarada is said to be equal to properties of Ashta Samskarita Paarada. An effort is made hereby to compile all the information related Hingula including its Historical aspect, origin, synonyms, classification according to different texts, artificial preparation of Hingula, Grahya Lakshana, complications caused due to Ashuddh Hingula sevan and its Chikitsa, Shodhan and Marana of Hingula, Extraction of parade from Hingula and its superiority over other types of Parada, Rasa Panchaka and Upyoga of Hingula. This paper also covers the Bio-medical counterpart of Hingula i.e. Cinnabar including its varieties, mineralogical characters and chemical properties.

Contact and gustatory effects of Spinosad on inhibition of population build-up of Cryptolestes pusillus (Schon.) (Coleoptera: Cucujidae) after different storage periods in whea Spinosad对小麦不同贮藏期隐蝇种群积累的抑制作用

The adult population of Cryptolestes pusillus (Schon.) was significantly (P<0.001) reduced after 3-, 6- and 9-months storage periods at different concentrations of Spinosad than those of control medium. Spinosad at all concentrations reduced mean number of larval 5.33±0.72 to 52.00±0.94, 5.67±1.36 to 32.00±1.41 and 2.67±0.54 to 54.33±0.72 after 3, pupal 3.33±1.09 to 26.00±0.94, 3.33±0.72 to 26.00±1.25 and 2.33±0.29 to 16.33±0.27 after 6 and adult 5.33±1.19 to 62.00±0.47, 2.33±0.27 to 72.00±1.25 and 2.33±1.09 to 58.00±1.25 after 9 months storage period. The percent of repulsion (PRC) were always higher in higher concentrations but lower in lower concentrations in every cases. The total population of C. pusillus was 152.00±1.15 and 790.33±2.60 after 1st and 2.67±1.09 and 20.67±3.34 after 2nd generations. Spinosad effectively reduced the survivability and population of C. pusillus of the treated wheat.

Assessing the effectiveness of turmeric and tamarind leaves extract cream as anti-aging in vivo 评估姜黄罗望子叶提取物乳膏的体内抗衰老效果

Turmeric and tamarind leaves extract creams have potential as anti-aging agents, but their use has never been studied in vivo. Therefore the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of turmeric and tamarind leaves extract cream in maintaining skin quality in vivo. This research was carried out by applying turmeric and tamarind leaf extract cream to 24 volunteers (having received approval from the ethical commission). Variables observed included sebum content, pore size, pigment content, moisture or moisture content, elasticity and collagenase content. The results showed that turmeric and tamarind leaves extract cream can increase sebum content up to 31.1%, reduce pore size to 0.017 mm, increase pigment content up to 13.2%, moisture up to 54.2%, elasticity up to 21.4% and collagenase content up to 37.3%.

Rearing records suggest that most temperate species can be found in a number of different deciduous trees, but some Clusiidae have also been found in conifers, and larvae of Sobarocephala have been found in termite colonies, as well as decaying wood, found the larvae evidently associated with the burrows of coleopterous insects and to be relatively sluggish and slow moving. Clusiidae larvae are probably at least facultatively predaceous on larvae of other wood-boring insects. The objective of the manuscript was to describe the territorial behavior of the males and also the biological Clusiidae. This work consists of bibliographical research of scientific articles published in national and international academic scientific journals classified by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). Document analysis was used as a data collection method to gather information on theoretical books, theses banks, university dissertations, documents and digital platforms websites such as HAL, SSRN and ResearchGate.

Modeling of Dengue cases in pediatric age using the objective regression regressive methodology in Villa Clara, Cuba 利用客观回归方法对古巴克拉拉别墅儿童年龄的登革热病例进行建模

Dengue continues to be the main arbovirosis, with endemic characteristics, in at least 100 countries, affecting an average of 50 million patients per year, and with a high incidence in pediatric ages. To mathematically model the cases of Dengue in pediatric age through the methodology of the Objective Regression Regressive, during the period 2016-2021 in the province of Villa Clara, Cuba. A descriptive, retrospective, analytical-statistical (Objective Regression Regressive methodology) and prospective longitudinal study was carried out. The study area corresponded to Villa Clara province, which is located in the center of Cuba, where the population under study was the 13 municipalities that make up the province. The total number of cases of Dengue fever during the six years covered by the study was 2 013. A database was created for confirmed cases of Dengue in Villa Clara during the years 2016 to 2021, specifically for children under 18 years of age, where the data were entered in files and processed using the SPSS version 22 statistical package, which made it possible to carry out a mathematical modeling of Dengue cases, in the short and long term. The plotting of confirmed cases of Dengue fever showed that the highest incidence of cases was in the months from July to November, with an average of 28 cases studied. The short-term model depends on the cases returned in 1, 2, 7 and 14 months, which indicates a strong dependence on the previous month, so that all monitoring, surveillance, management, control and sanitation actions carried out in advance will have a positive impact on the following month, while the long-term model depended on the cases returned in 12 months, and the trend turned out to be positive and significant. It was possible to model the cases of Dengue, where the trend was to a non-significant decrease in the short term, while in the long term, this trend was to a significant increase, and for which, the cases depended on 1, 2, 7 and 14 months ago, so the best model was the long term, being able to predict the behavior of this infectious entity one year in advance, as well as the extension to longer dates in years.

To mathematically model the cases of Dengue in pediatric age through the methodology of the Objective Regression Regressive, during the period 2016-2021 in the province of Villa Clara, Cuba. A descriptive, retrospective, analytical-statistical (Objective Regression Regressive methodology) and prospective longitudinal study was carried out. The study area corresponded to Villa Clara province, which is located in the center of Cuba, where the population under study was the 13 municipalities that make up the province. The total number of cases of Dengue fever during the six years covered by the study was 2 013. A database was created for confirmed cases of Dengue in Villa Clara during the years 2016 to 2021, specifically for children under 18 years of age, where the data were entered in files and processed using the SPSS version 22 statistical package, which made it possible to carry out a mathematical modeling of Dengue cases, in the short and long term. The plotting of confirmed cases of Dengue fever showed that the highest incidence of cases was in the months from July to November, with an average of 28 cases studied. The short-term model depends on the cases returned in 1, 2, 7 and 14 months, which indicates a strong dependence on the previous month, so that all monitoring, surveillance, management, control and sanitation actions carried out in advance will have a positive impact on the following month, while the long-term model depended on the cases returned in 12 months, and the trend turned out to be positive and significant. Protective role of grape seed extract on genotoxicity, hepatic, and renal dysfunction induced by ochratoxin A in rats 葡萄籽提取物对赭曲霉毒素A致大鼠遗传毒性及肝、肾功能损害的保护作用

Ochratoxin A (OTA) is a natural toxin and produced by various fungi of the genus Aspergillus and Penicillium and the second one in toxicity among mycotoxins. Recent studies have shown that grape seed extract (GSE) has a protective effect on mycotoxin-induced toxicity. The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effect GSE on OTA-induced genotoxicity, liver and kidney injury in rats. Forty mature Wistar albino male rats with similar body weight were divided into four groups (10 rats each): 1- untreated control group, 2- OTA treated group (1.7 mg/Kg bw, i. p.), 3- OTA + 75 mg/kg bw GSE treated group, 4- OTA + 150 mg/kg bw GSE treated group. Rats were treated for 15 days and at the end of experiments, blood, liver and kidney tissue homogenates, as well spermatocyte cells were harvested to determine the effect of OTA on geno-, hepato-, and renal toxicity in rats and the protective role of GSE. The results showed that GSE could significantly alleviate genotoxicity, DNA damage and improve the liver and kidney injury induced by OTA toxicity in male albino rats due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.

Physicochemical analysis and quality assessment of Lisinopril oral formulations used in the management of hypertension 赖诺普利口服制剂治疗高血压的理化分析及质量评价

Background: Hypertension (HT) is one of the primary causes of death worldwide, accounting for 13% of all deaths. Most cardiovascular disease (CVD) outbreaks in Africa are driven by hypertension, although global detection, awareness, treatment, and control rates are low. Aim: the study aimed to analyze the physicochemical parameters and quality assessment of different brands of Lisinopril. Method: Five (5) brands of Lisinopril oral tablets (10mg) were purchased and coded LSP1, LSP2, LSP3, LSP4, and LSP5. Different test including weight uniformity, standardizations, extraction, titrimetric (aqueous and non-aqueous) analysis, and quality determination of all the brands was conducted using standard procedures outlined in the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP). Result: All brands of Lisinopril used in the analysis conformed to the weight uniformity test. LSP1 conformed to the standard purity range in aqueous titrimetric analysis (98.5%), while the other brands had a close percentage but did not fall within the stated standard with a percentage purity of 82.2% (LSP2), 75.5% (LSP3), 87.1% (LSP4), and 75.6% (LSP5), respectively. For the non-aqueous titration, LSP 1 and LSP 2, conform to the standard percentage purity outlined in the USP, with 100.65% (LSP1), and 97.55% (LSP2). The brands had a percentage purity of 72.78% (LSP3), 88.26% (LSP4), and 88.26% (LSP 5), respectively. Conclusion: the method used in this study can be easily employed in the quality assessment and physicochemical analysis of solid dosage formulations commonly utilized by patients because it is rapid, efficient, cost-effective, less technical and reproducible.

Review of workplace characteristics and Self-motivation as Indicators of nurses' Job satisfaction 工作场所特征与自我激励对护士工作满意度的影响

Nursing staff turnover and absenteeism are reduced thanks to job satisfaction, which also enhances performance and productivity. Further research is required to determine how the interaction of these factors is impacted by individual initiative. This study's goal was to look into the relationships between nurses' personal initiative, work environment, and job satisfaction. According to the findings, high levels of individual initiative and favorable opinions of the nursing workplace were major factors in explaining job satisfaction. The working environment needs to be improved, the initiative needs to be encouraged, and nurses need to be encouraged to be active, share their knowledge, and foster innovation.
