Marcel Duchamp's life's work is feasible thanks to the possibility, to its expansion. As an underground, conciliatory of opposites artst, amplifes daily life through imaginaton or irony incorporatng in art objects obsessions of our permanent interest. One of them is erotc, and just as in the feld of irony, Soren Kierkegaard and his Diary of a Seducer become here accomplices to confgure a plastc sequence of uncertain visual precedent that will be, however, the key for the development of his next expression.

The Counter-Reformation uses surprising mechanisms to persuade towards a behavior also useful to the monarchy, justfying its military interventons like a defense of the religion. In a moment of fanatical mobilizatons who claim the Dogma of the Immaculate and the discovery of saint s relics, we focus in those mechanisms- its impressive ephemeral architecture, scenography, images- transmiters of messages to the citzens of Jaen, who lived the celebration of consecration of its new cathedral in an atmosphere of exaltation.

In the middle of the seventies of the last century and because of the restoration of the Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion s church in the village of Lasarte, (Alava), the provincial council of Alava commissioned Nestor Basterretxea making several objects of worship for the presbytery of it. Despite the initial contrast between contemporary and abstract forms prepared by the sculptor and the Romanic style of the apse, as a whole, all the elements came to harmonize perfectly. We will know the ups and downs of the work, while we will discover an unknown part of the Basque contemporary artistic heritage.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus strongly rooted within the Society of Jesus, to the point of becoming the Jesuits the greatest difusers of this cult. In the same way, they also promoted their fervour to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, derived from the previous. In ancient colleges that Ignatian order built in the Basque Country and Navarre have survived six images of the Holy Viscera of Christ and three of Mary, which iconographic models are two theological treatses writen by Jesuit authors.
