An algorithm for the enhancement of chest X-ray images of tuberculosis patients 一种肺结核患者胸部x线图像增强算法

Radiographic images are most commonly used by physicians all over the world, for preliminary diagnosis of the disease in the medical field. This is because X-ray procedures are simple and relatively inexpensive, as compared to other imaging modalities such as MRI. However X-ray films are noisy and difficult to read even for the experienced radiologists and physicians. Hence it is necessary to develop suitable processing techniques in order to help physicians and radiologists for diagnosis of disease. In this paper we propose an algorithm for enhancement of chest X-ray images of TB patients for better diagnosis of the disease.

Motion control of force producer in spherical system 球形系统产力器的运动控制

The author has presented a design concept and development of spherical systems from various approaches (spherical system based on solenoids, U-core, rotary motor). The moving condition in a solenoid based spherical system has been identified to be critical. In this system a mover is a flexible electromechanical moving joint (FEMJ). The FEMJ is moved with its weight while operating. This inconsistency can be overcome by reduction of the weight of the mover(s) and improving the force-to-weight ratio of the moving members. This paper presents the methodology for controlling the position of the mover(s) for analysis of propulsion force of solenoid-based force-producers used in a spherical system by which the optimum position of the mover can be identified without remodeling the design for various steps.

Synchronization schemes for a thyristor controlled series capacitor 晶闸管控制串联电容的同步方案

This paper presents the results of experimental study on the synchronization scheme for a thyristor controlled series capacitor (TCSC). Effects of two synchronization systems on the performances of TCSC have been investigated on a laboratory power system. Both advantages and disadvantages of the two synchronization systems have been clarified.

A neuro-fuzzy-genetic classifier for technical applications 用于技术应用的神经模糊遗传分类器

The paper presents an approach that combines artificial neural networks with fuzzy logic to form a neuro-fuzzy classifier. The proposed system has a feedforward network-like structure that mirrors fuzzy rules. The proposed system is able to learn and to generalize gained knowledge (it comes from the network-like structure) as well as to explain the decisions it makes. Its learning abilities are strengthened by applying a genetic algorithm as a technique of global optimization. The proposed neuro-fuzzy classifier has been successfully applied to the glass identification problem in forensic science.

A Hopfield model to economic dispatch of power systems having special units 特殊机组电力系统经济调度的Hopfield模型

This paper presents a Hopfield model with three strategies to solve the economic dispatch (ED) problems having prohibited operating zones. The prohibited operating zones of a unit result in the ED problem becoming a nonconvex optimization problem; consequently there are many local minima embedded in the problem. By employing the proposed Hopfield model, one can find out the global or near global minimum for the nonconvex problem mentioned above. An energy function is defined in the proposed model. The model solution moves in the direction of decreasing energy and finally reaches an optimal point with minimum energy. Application of the proposed approach is demonstrated using a 15-unit system with 4 units having prohibited zones. In the solving process, the dispatching generation level of each unit gradually changes according to its incremental cost and runs toward the optimal value obeying the equal-incremental-cost criterion. From the results of the sample-system study, the proposed method shows its ability of solving economic dispatch considering units having prohibited operating zones.

Hybrid fuzzy logic proportional plus conventional integral-derivative controller for permanent magnet brushless DC motor 永磁无刷直流电动机模糊比例与传统积分导数混合控制

This paper presents a hybrid fuzzy logic proportional plus conventional integral-derivative controller (FP+ID) for the speed control of a permanent magnet brushless DC (PMBLDC) motor. Though PID controllers are commonly used in practice, they have failed to perform satisfactory under nonlinearity, load disturbances, parameter variation, etc. In this paper, the performance of the permanent magnet brushless DC motor drive is examined with a hybrid controller which is a combination of fuzzy logic and conventional controller. This controller shows improved performance compared to PID speed controller.

Speech recognition using neural networks 使用神经网络的语音识别

The paper presents a continuous speech recognition system based on a neural network concept. An articulatory-phonetic feature extraction network (APFEN) is used for extracting articulatory-phonetic features. This is followed by a coarticulation network for reducing the effect of coarticulation present in the continuous speech. Algorithms for segmentation and then identification of phonemes are given.

EMI mitigation in power electronic circuits operating at high power factor 在高功率因数下工作的电力电子电路中的电磁干扰缓解

A quasi-resonant boost stage has been inserted at the front end of a power converter to improve the input side power factor, reduce the switching losses as well as reducing the EMI. The maid idea is to show the superiority of quasi-resonant boost stage over the hard-switched boost stage with respect to performance indices such as the power factor, switching losses and EMI. An optimized design has been used for the resonant tank of the quasi-resonant stage to get the maximum advantage. Computer simulations have been carried out to support the theory. Hardware has been developed to experimentally verify the advantages of the proposed scheme.

A moisture measuring technique is presented which is based on the "free-space" measurement of the complex permittivity of the material in the microwave and millimeter-wave frequency range. This method is fast, accurate, nondestructive, and contactless. Moreover, operation at these frequencies enables one to measure a wide range of moisture content accurately with high resolution and at high temperatures.

Frequency domain stability test of SISO systems with memoryless nonlinear feedback 无记忆非线性反馈SISO系统的频域稳定性试验

A frequency domain exponential stability test which considers the initial conditions for a class of SISO nonlinear systems is presented in this paper. It is also demonstrated that based on this test, one can exploit an algebraic design method for this class of nonlinear systems.
