I ts a qualitative approach research that analyzes two of the eight activities present in the third volume of the referred collection. We concluded that there are gaps related to the work with multiliteracies theories that, if filled, tend to enhance the textual skills related to the adequate students’ visual and critical literacy.

Audiências de conciliação: determinações legais e interação 调解听证会:法律决定和互动

This study is a reflection concerning the interaction in conciliation hearings held in a Civil Forum in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. We discuss some dimensions of those hearings, guided by what defines the legislation (CPC and the Law of Special Courts), observing how the normative regulations influence the linguistic-discursive aspects. We followed the Conversation Analysis orientation for the construction of the investigation corpus, consisting of two conciliation hearings, recorded on video and transcribed according to the system adopted by the studies of oral texts. The analysis of the audience data allowed us to recognize some consistency in the interaction, marked by what is institutionally defined, given the compliance with laws and guidelines that are embodied in the linguisticdiscursive level, based on the lexicon identified in this research data.

This study proposes to discuss the status of reading as a curricular component of the Portuguese language as a subject in the Brazilian school. Therefore, it presents, initially, an overview of the ways in which reading is approached in the historical course of the constitution of the Portuguese language teaching. Next, this historically constructed status of reading is contrasted with the current Portuguese language teaching practices mediated by students for licentiate in Language and Linguistics during an internship in schools of the public system in São Paulo (Brazil). In this article, we aim at presenting the application of the peer instruction methodology adapted to an academic text revision activity, particularly the review of a master’s thesis abstract. For the development of this proposal, we sought the theoretical contribution that deals with active methodologies, as well as interaction, and writing as a recursive process, which is part of the revision stage. Texto e construção de sentidos: propostas para leitura e interpretação 文本与意义建构:阅读与解释的建议

Analysis of inferences in texts, with the objective of demonstrating that the sense, even the literal one, includes implicit informations in the discourse in different degrees. The comprehension/interpretation of these texts indicates operations of inference, what it means that the reader must have attention to the logical questions or to the linguistic sense and to the discursive or argumentative ones in different kinds of texts and that they are important to the construction of the sense of a text. On of the objectives of this paper consists on the presentation of didactic proposals for the teaching of textual reading and interpretation.

This research analyzes argumentative strategies used in the editorials of the newspaper O Globo, "Reforming Social Security would be a good start for Temer" and "Optimism with the new tone of the Planalto", published during Dilma Rousseff's impeachment process. The methodology considers the communication situation in which the editorials are inserted, the procedures of the enunciative construction and the basic elements of the argumentative relationship. As a conclusion, it was identified, in the editorials analyzed, the engagement of the speaker in the defense of a favorable thesis towards the dismissal of President Dilma and the expression of the Opinion, that disqualifies Lulism and PT, through the delocative modality.

Based on a corpus of verbal interactions carried out on radio in Portugal, this article examines how, in these speeches, the process of constructing meaning is structured. Semantic and pragmatic aspects of the construction of life experience narratives are analysed: juxtaposed speech, repetitions, the use of the approximate expression "e tal", the use of "pronto" as a discourse marker, the occurrence of identities in talk and the production of evaluative assertions. In this context, acts of self-praise with mitigators and the use of the declarative verb “dizer” in the third person of the plural to minimize the threat of the face are considered. Evaluation comments that denote attentive listening are also analysed, allowing for the management of interactional exchanges.

Rostos, afetos e intencionalidade: análise semiolinguística de marcas da pandemia 面孔、情感和意向性:疫情品牌的半语言分析

In this article, we propose the analysis of verb-visual texts – a newspaper cover story and an advertisement disclosed in magazines –which have in common marked female faces, to some extent, by evidence of the covid-19 pandemic. This analysis aims to highlight discursive resources that imply ideas, emotions and intentionalities in accordance, above all, with the sociodiscursive imaginary shared by the interactants of the exchange provided by those texts, in order to contribute with a theoretical-analytical basis for the elaboration of activities of interpretation focused on “Media Education” proposed by the National Common Basis. Based on the Semiolinguistic Theory of Discourse Analysis in liaison with other studies, the concepts of image as a sign, image –symptom and intericonicity will be initially explored. After that, taking the texts under analysis more specifically, the construction of the ethos and the controversial target in discursivization will be observed.
