. Learning Introduction to General Linguistics for English Department students is challenging because it is offered for those who are in the second semester. The topics cover the basic concepts related to Linguistics. Many students get failed in this course. This article is aimed at describing the combination of two of the method in students centered learning, problem-based and cooperative learning, to boost the motivation and competence of students in learning Introduction to General Linguistics for English. The research is conducted in the class provided for those who retake the course for 2nd or 3rd time. The results show that this combination worked reasonably well. Almost all of the students got satisfaction with the process. Even they claimed that their understanding is much better.

This Research aims to acquire the effectivity of learning media based on augmented reality on Multimedia System Course in Computer System Department, Information Technology Faculty, Andalas University. The research was commencing initialization by data acquisition by the online questioner. The result is the user assessment on six application quality that is: Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty. The result shows that in a range between -3 and 3, the application possesses decent result by achieving 1.30 for Attractiveness, 1.12 for Perspicuity, 1.15 for Efficiency, 1.10 for Dependability, 1.43 for Stimulation and 0.74 for Novelty. The benchmarking result shows that positives rating average mark is in the above averages. Based on the analysis in this research, Augmented Reality Application increase the effectivity of learning 4.0.

. One of the linguistic learners’ problems in Indonesia is the profound lack in innovating and designing the new concepts, theories and methods. Self innovation and creativity in learning are the major objectives of Awareness Centered Learning (ACL). On the other side, flipped class offers various online materials paradigm, e.g. live streaming films, online lectures, live video, peer online discussions or research, e-book, e-journal, or other digital reading texts in the outside of classroom to explore new topics in greater depth based on multidisciplinary point of views that actually demand the students on developing contemplations and designing their own innovation and concepts in studying linguistics. Nevertheless, mostly the Indonesian forensic linguistic learner are too intellectually western centered and consider every concept and theory from the west are the best without designing their own theories. On these reasons, flipped class basic philosophy as one of the blended learning models and ACL can be considered as ones of the solutions in shaping students’ intellectual creativity in learning. This paper describes the contribution of flipped class to the development of ACL to help the linguistic students create their own.

. Ideally, under graduate student complete their study within 4 years. However, it is found that many students complete their degree more than 4 years. There are a lot of factors that causing the delay in study completion of the student. Faculty of Agricultural Technology students consist of thousands students who stuying now, they will complete in different time each others. Aims of this study are (1) to find out the internal and external factors that hamper the student to complete their degree within time, (2) Effort to solve the student overtime study. This research is using survey approchment.Samples were taken by using proportional random sampling method. Research results show that the factors causing the delay of the student completion study are factor internal with score 75.94% and external factor 73.028%. Meanwhile, efforts to accelerate the student study completion can be done by giving inputs toward lecturers, students, and campus side. Lecturers are expected to give extra time to discusswith the students, motivation and simplifying the time to discuss with the students.

. In this research, blended learning strategy using face to face driver model was applied in Mathematical Statistics I. Using this model, traditional learning remains the main approach in delivering lecture materials, while online learning functions as the supplement for the previous approach. The aims are to improve learning outcomes and provide a different learning experience for students. This research is an observational research. It is found that this approach increases students’ learning outcome. Students also found that the online learning introduced was useful to enhance their understanding on the materials being studied.

. Optimization of instructional media is expected to increase student understanding of lecture material so as to improve lecture results. Therefore, research was conducted on the use of video media as a report on group discussions in phonology courses. So, this article aims to explain the use of video media in optimizing learning media to improve the results of phonology lectures. This research was conducted using qualitative methods. Data was collected by conducting classroom action research on phonology class students who are second semester students in the Indonesian Literature Study Program. After that, the data are analyzed by comparing the results of lectures with the media tested with the results of previous lectures. Thus, the results are obtained that lectures by optimizing learning media especially the use of video as a report of group discussions on weekly learning material can increase student understanding as evidenced by increasing student final grades.

. The limited number of learning media used in schools causes a problem in learning activity that can affect learning outcome. Comic combines elements of education and entertainment so that can make learning activities become interesting and fun. Learning using comic is expected to make student understanding difficult material. This research is Development research by using ADDIE model. The results of the validation from the material, learning, and media experts show level of validity of the products is very valid. The results of the practicality test is efficient and the results of the effectiveness test of the use of comic showed a significant increase cognitive and psycho-motor aspect in the high category. The gain value of increasing student understanding by using science education comics is 0.81 with a high category. Thus the science education comics learning media can be used as science learning media at junior high schools.

Bureaucratic and political subjects are grouped into expertise and skill subjects (MKK) and are compulsory subjects at Political Sciences Departement. The learning process of this subjects explain several important topics about bureaucratic and political issues, both internally and externally in context of political relations. This subject is attended by 70 students in the second half semester of 2018/201. The learning process has been conducted using the Student Center Learning (SCL) method with the approach of problem-based learning and Inqury (PBL). students was divided into 7 groups before midterm semester and each group presented their own topics according to the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) subject. furthermore the students were further divided into eight groups with each group consisting of 8-9 people / groups. The student group is further divided in pairs with the composition of 8 groups into 4 paired groups. For example, Groups 1 and 2 will be installed to discuss one lecture topic, with one group as the presenter, who will perform the presentation while one group will respond to the previously specified topic and explained by the presenting group. After the two groups have finished presenting the other group can ask questions, opinions or disclaimers and after that the other group will give an assessment of the course of the presentation and choose the best speaker from both groups. Learning assessment is no longer determined by the student's final outcome, but is seen from the whole process in following this course (attendance, activity in class discussion). The assessment system consists of the midterm exam (25%) and final Semester exam (25%) While the assessment of the process consists of individual tasks and presentations (critical thinking ability and logical argument, communication) (25%) and final tasks in the form of case analysis (technical and analytical skills, teamwork, communication) (15%). For this semester, the spread of students ranged from 76-95 (C+ to A-), with details as many as 22 students get A value, 35 students get A-value, 7 students get B+ value, and 5 students get B value and 1 Student get the C + value.
