Measuring student motivation in a statistics course supported by podcast using Reduced Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (RIMMS) 使用精简教学材料动机调查(RIMMS)测量播客支持的统计学课程中的学生动机

This study aimed to measure students' motivation levels in the statistical inference module of a statistics course at the University of Guadalajara. Data were collected from 40 students from Process Engineering, and International Trade (INPROCI) enrolled in an online statistic course during Fall 2019. The Reduced Instructional Material Motivation Survey (RIMMS) was used to determine motivation levels in instruction supported by podcasts. Positive relationships were found between the scales of attention, relevance, trust, and satisfaction. Data showed high motivation with the use of podcasts as an instructional medium in the course. The results found not report a significant difference in levels of variables motivation and learning styles.

Effective deployment of Serious Games into the classroom is a challenging task that adds extra administrative burden to educators and researchers, hindering the generalization of the use of games in the class. This paper presents how elearning standards such as IMS LTI and xAPI specifications can be used to simplify this deployment. This approach has been tested in the context of the Erasmus+ project IMPRESS, using serious games to teach software engineering.

The present investigation surged by the growing use of the TIC’s within the teaching and learning process in Universities. It is often assumed that by providing resources and technological areas they already have the digital skills (DS) required for their proper use. In this paper different kinds of DS will be analized based on international organizations applied by various countries. The methodologies and instruments for their identification will also be evaluated. To identify the level of DS of students of Bachelor in Administration of Centro Universitario de la Costa Sur (CUCSUR), it was applied the given instrument by the Instituto de Prospectiva Tecnológica (IPTS) from European Union. The results allowed to identify a deficiency worthy of beginner lever. Programming was the least successful asset. The results will allowed us to develop a proposal of additional training in students to be implemented at the same time their curricula.

Arabic Sentiment Analysis Approaches: An Overview 阿拉伯语情感分析方法综述

In the last few years, Arabic Sentiment Analysis (ASA) has become the most important trends topic of market and scientific research in Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) fields. It tries to identify the opinion orientation (positivity, neutrality or negativity) of a piece text in different domains and it has gained significant results especially in the field of education, in other words ASA is utilized to ameliorate education by trying to understand the learning degree of students and monitoring the performance of students. Due to Arabic complexities at the level of orthography, morphology and dialects. Sentiment analysis for Arabic language is very difficult and it considered as a more challenging process compared to other languages like English. In this work, we tried to give a comparative analysis of Arabic Sentiment approaches, together with various powerful existing techniques.
