The study purpose is to consider the influence of expressive and sedative opera works on the respondents’ mathematical abilities. The respondents were tested in order to identify the above characteristics. Two samples were obtained that contain information indirectly indicating a change in mathematical abilities of respondents listening to expressive and sedative opera works. There is a correlation between listening to music and an increase in the respondents’ mathematical abilities. The correlations between listening to sedative and expressive music and the respondents’ mathematical ability are different. Sedative music has a calming effect while expressive music cheers up the respondents.

Understanding how music lessons affect mental health allows, among other things, to improve education and therapeutic outcomes. This study of 112 high school students aged 12 to 17 years seeks to determine whether there is a positive correlation between musical activity and the mental state of children. All students underwent two surveys and art therapy session at baseline and at the end of experiment. The results of the study show music training positively correlates with mental health and has a beneficial effect on students’ well-being. The limitations of the study include the small sample size and subjective research method.

Professor unidocente.

At present, digital technology provides innumerable new possibilities in the field of musical education. Its tools are, without a doubt, a valuable mediator in teaching-learning processes at the levels of elementary and university education, and specialisation. This study examines the knowledge and use of technological resources in the specific sphere of teaching in elementary, intermediate and superior stages in music conservatories and schools of music. By means of an online questionnaire administered to 82 teachers in this field, significant data was obtained regarding said knowledge and use of technological tools. These results provide evidence that those tools are scarcely applied, whether in preparing classes or in learning processes in the classroom. The only positive data appears in connection with the use of sound and sheet music editors.

The study investigates musical compositions via quantification using mathematical methods. The investigation is based on Franz Schubert’s song cycle Die Winterreise, Robert Schumann’s song cycle Myrthen, and on works by other composers. The study obtained p-value estimates for each quantity to assess its adequacy and probability of getting reliable result. The obtained p-values show probability of obtaining corresponding mean value of the investigated parameters. The results will allow finding objective criteria for describing his work in comparison with the works of other composers. They are useful for restoring musical notations, analyzing and classifying works of unknown authorship.

Vocal art is a means of conveying the artistic content of a musical work through voice, sounds, words, and intonation. The key objective of the research is to study the role of innovative approaches required for the aesthetic vocal performance. The method of a sociological survey and the SWOT analysis were used to achieve the goal of the study. The study involved 60 students from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music. The role of new technologies in teaching singing was determined with the help of two methods: the methodology by Strelnikova and the methodology developed in the course of the study. It was found that an integrated approach to teaching vocal performance is more effective and allows learners to achieve great results. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey. The use of the methodology developed allowed 89% of the participants to obtain high results two months after the beginning of training while only 77% of students improved their performance through the application of the methodology by Strelnikova. This is due to the fact that the long-known technique is aimed exclusively at breath building, which is an integral part of singing, but it does not include other important elements. In addition, based on the SWOT analysis, strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities and threats were identified in the context of each method. The completeness of the data of the methodology developed has significant advantages for the aesthetic performance of songs. The results of the study will be useful for vocalists when building voices, as well as teachers when developing a curriculum.

The aim of this work is to study the supposed influence of piano training on the underlying indicators of psychophysiological development in children aged 7 years (n=110). There were more children with right hand dominance among those who received piano training. It was found that piano players achieved a higher level of maturation of the functional brain structures. Children receiving piano training demonstrated stronger activation of the anterior regions of the brain, whereas children who did not play any musical instrument showed more activation of the right hemisphere and the occipital region in the neocortex.
