Reorienting the Role of Middle Managers for Creating Value within the Organization: an Economical, Social and Ethical Proposal 重新定位中层管理人员在组织中创造价值的角色:一个经济、社会和道德的建议

Many studies have focused on customer value and how it is created based on the performance of front-line employees in addition to the unquestionable role of top management. It is also necessary to analyze the creation of value within the organization from the role of middle managers. These managers are crucial to orient employees for promoting value for customers that in turn creates value for stakeholders. Using an anthropological model we analyzed the creation of value in three organizational dimensions: economical, social and ethical, and how the role of middle managers contributes to this purpose. We applied a survey to 263 middle managers to identify their views about their role and their needs for assuming it. We designed and executed a program for developing the competencies and personal qualities required for fulfilling their role focused on the creation of value. This study included semi-structured interviews to explore the experience and beliefs of these managers about the main tasks they face according to the three dimensions of the model. Through the results obtained we designed a scheme to arrange the role of these managers. Finally, we validated a model to prepare them as leaders for creating value.

A reflection is made on the culture of innovation within the company, which allows us to rethink the complexity of the creative action to innovate, which does not simply consist of the strategic definition of innovation on the part of management, but fundamentally depends on the human factor; its diversity, motivation and pressures of the company, so that the proposed objectives are achieved.

Suponen un avance conforme a la filantropia o el marketing social y nos permite incluir en sus metodologias y acciones el modelo de la Base de la Piramide (BdP). A lo largo del presente trabajo se recoge la vinculacion entre la RSC, los negocios inclusivos y los de Base de la Piramide en la lucha contra la exclusion social y como forma de trabajo para garantizar los Derechos Humanos en el mundo empresarial y el papel que tiene el trabajador social en el mundo empresarial como agente de desarrollo de la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa tanto a nivel interno como externo. EnglishSocial Justice and social rights are the philosophy of values present in the international social model and the social responsibility corporate (CSR) that offers an alternative to the approach for the protection of human rights from the perspective of the socioeconomic issues, supposing an advance pursuant to philanthropy or social marketing and allows us to include in its methodologies and actions the Base of the pyramid (BoP). Along the present work includes linking CSR, inclusive businesses and those of BdP in the fight against social exclusion and as a form of work to secure human rights in the business world and the role of the social worker in the business world as an agent of development of CSR has both internally and externally.

In the reconstruction of Adam Smith’s philosophical system, his studies on language are a key piece in several senses: they establish the necessity as the base of the development of the human society; define the historical pattern that this development follows; identify the fundamental formula according to which social interactions take place; establish the passage from an isolated consciousness to a dialogical one; and evince the theatrical structure of social relations. All this allows us to develop an interpretation of his work not as a deterministic economic structure, but as a semiotic construction to which we could give multiple forms.
