Isu al-mujarrabat merupakan antara isu khilafiah yang hangat diperselisihkan dalam kalangan agamawan di Malaysia khususnya. Isu yang sering dipertikaikan oleh sebahagian pihak adalah isu zikir yang tidak dilakukan oleh Baginda Nabi seperti zikir dengan lafaz Allah dengan bilangan yang tertentu, isu meniup pada air hasil bacaan tertentu dan lain-lain. Pertikaian atau perbalahan ini berpunca daripada penyalahan secara total. Qiyas al-Shabah ini adalah di antara instrumen di dalam perbahasan Usul Fiqh yang penting dalam membantu mengeluarkan `illah daripada isu-isu dan nas-nas tertentu. Apabila isu-isu tertentu diceraikan dan diteliti, maka akan didapati kekurangan dalam setiap qiyas yang dibuat oleh agamawan-agamawan tertentu. Setiap isu-isu yang direspon oleh beberapa agamawan tertentu biasanya akan melibatkan secara tidak langsung proses pengqiyasan. Maka Qiyas al-Shabah ini akan mengatur, dan memperbetul isu-isu yang diqiyaskan oleh mereka, dengan meletakkan pada isu yang lebih tepat untuk diqiyaskan. Penyelidikan ini merupakan kajian yang berbentuk kualitatif kerana ia berkaitan dengan perbahasan sesuatu teori yang akan melibatkan pengkajian data-data di dalam rujukan-rujukan kitab-kitab klasik dan semasa seterusnya diimplementasikan di dalam sesuatu isu dan kes. Hasil implementasi Qiyas al-Shabah ke dalam isu ini didapati bahawa sudut pandang mereka yang menolak adalah disebabkan oleh pemahaman secara literal pada sesuatu hadis atau athar.

Sabar merupakan satu sifat yang dipuji agama kerana meneladani sifat-sifat keunggulan nabawi. Namun, persekitaran komuniti mencalarkan ketenteraman masyarakat yang gagal mengawal emosi marah sehingga mengakibatkan ketirisan moral dalam komuniti kejiranan. Kes-kes yang berlaku pertengkaran akibat marah melibatkan pelbagai peringkat diterjemahkan melalui perilaku komuniti amat membimbangkan. Sehubungan itu, pendekatan sifat sabar wajar dicontohi berdasarkan pengamalan yang dianjurkan Nabi SAW. Implementasi sifat sabar mencerminkan etika akhlak masyarakat muslim. Artikel ini menggunakan sorotan literatur melalui beberapa sumber primer dan sekunder. Artikel ini juga menggunakan kaedah deduktif dan tematik. Hasil kajian mendapati sifat sabar merupakan sebahagian nilai pembangunan moral insan. Komponen sifat sabar perlu dipraktikkan dalam urusan yang melibatkan legasi hidup bersosial dalam komuniti gaya hidup berjiran. Justeru, elemen-elemen seperti penjagaan lidah dalam komuniti berjiran, tuntutan memuliakan jiran, memelihara keharmonian jiran dan menghindari jiran yang buruk moralnya perlu disadurkan dengan sifat sabar. Oleh itu, relevansi sifat sabar seharusnya dipupuk dari usia kecil. Bahkan disemai dalam interaksi sosial berorientasikan pendekatan nabawi bagi mewujudkan keharmonian warga komuniti kejiranan khususnya dalam meneruskan kehidupan yang kian mencabar.

A person’s understanding of self is significantly associated with the world view that he or she believes in. This self-understanding concept shall only be well established if it is viewed from the perspective that is connected to real epistemology. The importance of this understanding is due to its influence on human perception in all matters related to themselves. As a Muslim with an ultimate goal, which is the happiness of the world and the hereafter, then the real conceptualisation of oneself is essential. However, the influence of secularism and dualism that exist in the education stream is disconcerting in this regard. Therefore, the concept of self in Islam shall be examined and re-assessed. To evaluate the self-concept of a Muslim, the concept and instrument used must be based on the Islamic philosophy and realm. However, the variety of instruments used to evaluate the existing self-concept are in accordance with the Western epistemology, which contradicts the Islamic world view to describe the self-concept of a Muslim. Thus, this study aims to propose an ideal self-concept evaluation model for studies involving Muslims. In conclusion, there are limited studies carried out and leave a decent impact to researchers, especially in the field of Education and Psychology and Humanities.

The integration of the knowledge in Quran and Science is significant and timely. The truth of Quran contents is proven by the phenomenon of Science. However, Science education in Malaysia which is too similar to Western learning style, focuses more on student achievement in examinations. Therefore, efforts to integrate Science and the Quran do not occur in formal teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Thus, this article discusses secondary school science teachers’ perspectives on the Quran-integrated Science learning approach. This study uses qualitative design methodology by conducting interviews with four Science teachers at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (Tahfiz Model Ulul Albab) in Negeri Sembilan. Data analysis was performed using Atlas.ti software version 9. Thematic analysis method is used to analyze the data based on a fixed comparison of each study findings. The results of the interviews showed that apart from the Islamic vision of Science teachers who are excited to implement Al-Quran Integrated Science learning, there are 4 main factors that need to be examined namely (i) existing problems in the educational environment, (ii) lack of adequate knowledge and skills , (iii) suggestions on the need for tools to implement the integration of science with the Qur’an and (iv) the expectations of Science teachers on the integration of this revelation knowledge in the teaching of Science subjects. This study is expected to be a source of information to the drafters of the Science and revelation knowledge integrated curriculum which is believed to be able to produce generation of ulul albab students who are balanced in academic and spiritual aspects, especially for use in religious schools and Tahfiz Science.

Tahfiz teaching has become progressively more conventional and is growing as an essential educational course. This significance is in line with the prospect above that is placed on the ability of tahfiz schools to produce Quran-memorising students who can thrive and improve the nation’s Islamic education. Due to this endeavour, the tahfiz learning management process must satisfy the user QoE related to the increasing student intake issues. These issues impact this education process due to insufficient tahfiz resources, infrastructure, and facilities. This paper proposes the Integrated Management Tahfiz (IM-Tahfiz) Framework’s suitability for selected education satisfaction at the empirical level. The primary purpose of this framework is about the Quality of Experience (QoE) based on user satisfaction for the screening test of stakeholder decision in selecting tahfiz centre to educate students. This framework design was implemented in three phases; data selection, where instruments and experiment setup gather resources from the mobile to the server to finalize data; user QoE setup, where the users’ data is obtained by using the Mean Opinion Score (MOS) to determine this matter’s solution regarding the suitability of tahfiz students to tahfiz centers; and execution phase, where both phases combine to finalize the data output. The final result illustrates the initial research question (RQ) was the factor that had effects on the problem of the tahfiz center that can be solved accordingly.

Islamic psychospirituality is a discipline that combines psychological and spiritual elements based on Islamic principles. The Islamic psychospiritual approach that emphasises on the purificaiton process of the soul (tazkiyyah al-nafs) becomes a necessity for man in order to ensure the well-being of his life and achieve happiness in this world and the Hereafter. This need is linked rather closely to the objective of legislating sharia law or the more popularly used term maqasid al-sharia in order to accomplish the good for all human beings. However, there are still gaps in the literature that discusses thoroughly the relationship between Islamic psychospirituality and maqasid al-sharia. Therefore, this article was conducted to discuss Islamic psychospirituality according to maqasid al-sharia. This study was conducted using full library research method for data collection and qualitative approach for data analysis. Based on the anylisis it was found that the relationship between Islamic psychospirituality and maqasid al-sharia can be seen from two views namely from the debates of al-kulliyat al-khams and al-wasilah wa al-ghayat towards the achievement of al-sa’adah (happiness) which is maqasid al -sharia al-’ammah (general maqasid sharia). Ultimately, Islamic psychospirituality plays a very important role in the development of insaniah which eventually leads to the guaranteed preservation of al-kulliyat al-khams which is the main core of maqasid al-sharia.

Semasa pentadbiran Trump, Amerika Syarikat telah mengemukakan satu pelan damai di Timur Tengah yang dikenali sebagai “Deal of the Century” (DOTC). DOTC merupakan pelan untuk mengemukakan “solusi” kepada konflik hubungan Israel-Palestin. Pelan tersebut telah mengundang pelbagai kritikan berikutan pentadbiran Trump yang mengiktiraf Jerusalem sebagai ibu negara Israel dan memindahkan kedutaan AS di Israel dari Tel Aviv ke Jerusalem. Adakah Joe Biden yang kini menggantikan Trump sebagai Presiden AS akan meneruskan pelan DOTC tersebut? Bagi merungkai persoalan-persoalan ini, makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji isi perjanjian tersebut dan menganalisis impaknya terhadap proses damai Israel-Palestin serta kestabilan di rantau Timur Tengah. Untuk mencapai objektif ini, analisis kandungan secara kritikal telah dibuat terhadap isi perjanjian DOTC serta laporan dan kajian sedia ada yang berkait dengan DOTC. Secara asasnya, isi perjanjian DOTC lebih memberi kelebihan kepada Israel, sekaligus menyerlahkan sikap AS yang pro-Israel. Ia akan menyukarkan lagi proses damai antara Israel dan Palestin kerana hanya menguntungkan satu pihak sahaja. Selain itu, DOTC turut berpotensi menyebabkan berlakunya proses pemetaan semula Timur Tengah dan mengundang penglibatan kuasa-kuasa di rantau tersebut. Makalah ini menghujahkan DOTC sebagai satu projek yang gagal kerana tidak mampu menarik pihak-pihak yang terlibat untuk ke meja rundingan. Perjanjian ini dijangka tidak akan diteruskan oleh Biden yang berkemungkinan akan mengemukakan pelan damai yang tersendiri.

This article is concerned with introducing a new analytical tool for high school students. Islamic literary theory uses an Islamic lens in the study and analysis of literature and cultural productions. It is an empowerment theory that seeks to provide morally-centric emancipatory perspectives grounded in the teachings of the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah. Empowerment theories are concerned with improving the human condition. Islamic literary theory attempts to do this through analyzing texts and discussing Islamic and common sense (fitra) solutions to determine how the human condition can be elevated personally, socially and spiritually. Islamic literary theory uses Islamic principles to critique cultural productions. It seeks to describe and analyze not only the ways in which certain literature reinforces the narrative of secularism and immorality but also how other literature promotes emancipatory and Islamocentric ideas that make the world a better place. It is concerned with exploring how personal, family and micro and macro social life confront problems and achieve transformation through offering insights based on Islam. The Islamic worldview rests on the notion that the individual is in a state of constant struggle from worldly encounters in which s/he must make a choice to act and speak morally and ethically in line with Qur’anic tenets to achieve success in the next life. Islamic literary theory in part critiques how individuals and groups are distracted from their true purpose in life. Texts are analyzed using the Qur’an and authentic hadith to discover in what ways individuals and groups freely, forgetfully or coercively commit wrongs against themselves and others. This paper discusses the emergence of Islamic literary theory as a critical lens for high school students. Furthermore, it discusses its historical foundation and purpose and it provides a conceptual framework for its application.

Mahkamah syariah di Malaysia memberikan peluang terhadap pihak yang terkilan dengan keputusan mahkamah rendah membuat rayuan ke mahkamah yang lebih tinggi. Namun, persoalan sejauh mana rayuan mempunyai asas dalam sistem kehakiman Islam adalah suatu yang wajar untuk dibincangkan. Sehubungan itu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahaskan tentang konsep rayuan menurut hukum syarak, menganalisa petikan kes-kes rayuan yang terdapat dalam sumber hukum dan pandangan fuqaha terhadap rayuan dalam kehakiman Islam. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah analisis dokumen yang dibuat secara deskriptif. Kajian mendapati perbahasan rayuan oleh fuqaha klasik sangat terhad dan hanya merujuk kepada keputusan yang bercanggah dengan hukum syarak dan pembetulan dibuat oleh hakim kedua. Amalan rayuan di mahkamah syariah pada masa kini telah mengadaptasi prosedur di mahkamah sivil yang membolehkan pihak yang terkilan memfailkan rayuan walaupun keputusan itu tidak bercanggah dengan hukum syarak. Kajian ini penting dalam menunjukkan evolusi sistem kehakiman Islam dalam menegakkan keadilan kepada pihak-pihak yang bertikai.

‘Irādah’ bermaksud kehendak Allah SWT, manakala ‘amr’ pula adalah perintah Allah SWT yang hanya memerintah perkara yang baik dan melarang perkara yang buruk. Jalaluddin al-Rumi (1207-1273) menggunakan metode tersendiri dalam mengumpulkan perbahasan amr dan irādah Allah SWT secara berlapik melalui prosa bait syair dalam Mathnawi. Falsafah occasionalisme pula membawa fahaman bahawa segala sesuatu itu adalah digerakkan oleh Tuhan, bagi membuktikan kewujudan Tuhan melalui campur tangan Tuhan dalam setiap perkara. Walaupun pemahaman konsep ‘irādah dan amr’ Allah SWT antara perspektif sufi Jalaluddin al-Rumi dan falsafah occasionalisme memiliki titik persamaan dalam pengakuan wujud dan kehendak Tuhan, namun wujud perbezaan apabila melibatkan perintah Tuhan dalam perbahasan ‘moral’ iaitu baik dan buruk. Perbezaan antara kedua perspektif tersebut hendaklah difahami dengan jelas dan teliti agar dapat mengelakkan berlaku kekeliruan bahawa occasionalisme Barat dan Islam itu adalah sama sahaja. Artikel ini mengkaji dan memberi fokus kepada konsep irādah dan amr Allah SWT menurut Jalaluddin al-Rumi, sekaligus membuat perbandingannya dengan falsafah occasionalisme Barat. Penulisan ini menggunakan metodologi kajian secara kualitatif melalui kaedah analisis kandungan dan metode perbandingan. Implikasi artikel ini menampakkan perbezaan antara pegangan yang diyakini oleh pemikiran Barat dan keyakinan yang sepatutnya diyakini oleh umat Islam sepertimana yang telah digariskan dalam agama Islam itu sendiri. Malah, artikel ini turut memberi penjelasan tentang kepentingan mentaati ‘kehendak dan perintah’ Allah SWT tanpa pengecualian salah satu daripadanya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa konsep irādah Allah SWT yang dibawa Jalaluddin al-Rumi itu mempunyai persamaan erat dengan falsafah ocasionalisme Barat. Ia muncul sebagai gagasan yang membela campur tangan Tuhan dalam kehidupan manusia sekaligus menolak sekularisme. Manakala, konsep amr Allah SWT pula menonjolkan keistimewaannya berbanding falsafah occasionalisme Barat kerana kepercayaan kepada Allah SWT yang ditampilkan Jalaluddin al-Rumi tidak menyisihkan sama sekali perintah-Nya yang sentiasa menjadi kewajiban hidup bagi seorang muslim yang beriman.
