Computer programming is a fundamental discipline in many academic programs, especially in the fields of informatics, applied mathematics, physics, and engineering. Despite its popularity, computer programming courses does not possess a widely-accepted methodology for its structure, and because of this reason, even introductory courses highly differ in their curriculum, approach, complexity, and even technical background. In this paper we propose a methodology for introductory computer programming course structure definition that is based on the concept of notion formation through a system of tasks. The approach is intended to be applied in the context of academic education, but it is also applicable in the last years of high-school courses.

For Excel’s calculation of basic (fixed) assets amortisation values, the investigated economic and mathematical foundation with required values and their relations were used. The investigated and introduced theory is adapted to Excel calculations of fixed assets amortisation based on today’s needs. All values for Excel’s calculations are sorted into input and output values, and input to main and nested calculations. Two methods for calculating fixed assets amortisation were introduced using Excel. The first method is based on a linear decreasing function, G(t) = G0 (1-pt), which presents the simple interest calculation of the reduced equities for equal periodic amortisation values. The second method is based on the exponential degrading function, G(t) = G0qt, which presents a complex interest calculation of the reduced equities for periodic amortisation amounts in a descending sequence. The continuity of the introduced functions results from the continuity of: the life of the fixed asset, periodic amortisation, accumulated amortisation and non-amortized amount (residual value) of the fixed asset. It is particularly important to introduce dates with the exact time, for the beginning and the end of each amortisation period of the fixed asset. The theory for Excel’s calculation of the fixed asset output values for an arbitrary (planned or unplanned) term has also been explored and introduced. Such calculations relate mainly to terms of alienation, permanent damage, permanent loss of the process function of a fixed asset and periodic accounting reporting.

The article presents an approach applied in the online training of pre-service teachers to acquire digital competence. The content of the concept of ‘digital competence’ in its sustainable and variable component is clarified. The understanding of ‘augmented reality’ to e-learning objects is presented. Two forms of ‘augmented reality’ have been proposed to visualize video information to a clarified concept. The first one is presented via a QR code for quick access and applicable for mobile learning. The other is provided by icons and is applicable to e-learning with a computer. It is believed that ‘augmented reality’ can differentiate students’ online learning according to the field-dependent and field-independent cognitive style and their preferences on the use of different digital learning devices.

The article presents the current standards for pedagogical practices for the subjects Informatics and Informational Technologies for students in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the evaluation criteria for them. Some difficulties with online education due to the COVID-19 pandemics are noted. The author presents an organizational model for pedagogical practices of students in Informatics and Informational Technologies in which the trainees swap between primary and high school in the middle of their semester. The research is in pilot stage and presents results only from the author observations and non-formal interviews with students.

In the present study some ideas related to the development of educational games in the classes of „Computer Modeling“ are presented. Attention is paid to some features in the creation of this type of games when using the block environment Scratch. An exemplary realization of an educational game based on the educational content of “Computer Modeling” is considered.

The problem of forming the professional competencies of a math teacher in the process of his (her) training at the pedagogical university and in the system of continuing education is extremely relevant not only in Ukraine but also abroad. This is especially true for the methodological competence of teachers, which largely determines the quality of the educational process in general and student achievements in particular. To solve this problem, we propose to create an educational environment, which, in addition to math teachers, includes specialists in mathematics teaching methods from pedagogical universities, instructors of teacher’s in-service training courses, master’s students in pedagogical specialties, who, in particular, are trained in dual form of education. As the results of the experiment show, such educalional environment allows to realize professional training of mathematics teachers more effectively and qualitatively compared to traditional methods.

In this paper the efficiency of collaborative learning of functions, of the functions with parameters, in GeoGebra environment is analyzed. The research was conducted during the calculus course at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, with the students with two groups of students, major physics and chemistry. The students in the experimental group learned in small, four member groups, formed by using Kagan’s (1994) principles, and the students in the control group learned individually. The students from both groups learned in GeoGebra environment. Their work is compared and analyzed.
