APPLICATION OF 0-1 INTEGER GOAL PROGRAMMING FOR SHIFT SCHEDULING OF MEDICAL STAFF IN LABORATORY DEPARTMENT 应用 0-1 整数目标编程法为检验科医务人员排班

With the increase in population, hospitals are the institutions with the most intensive shift work. When scheduling shifts in hospitals, it is difficult to create a balanced shift schedule for each staff by taking into account constraints such as the working conditions of the hospital, the satisfaction of patients, staff and the hospital, and the wishes of staff in terms of days off, holidays , etc. as well as different objectives. The aim of this study is to optimally plan the shift schedule for medical staff in the laboratory department. The shift schedule of the laboratory department of a government hospital in Gümüşhane in November 2022 was used for the study. According to the working conditions and shift schedule of the hospital, a 0-1 integer goal programming model is established. The optimal shift schedule was obtained as a result of analyzing the model by coding it in the GAMS 42.5.0 program.

THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL STABILITY AND ECONOMIC FREEDOMS ON ECONOMIC GROWTH: EVIDENCE FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRIES WITH NEW QUANTITATIVE MODELS 金融稳定和经济自由对经济增长的影响:来自发展中国家的新定量模型证据

This study examines the effect of financial stability and economic freedom levels of developing countries on economic growth. A financial stability index was calculated in this study to represent the financial stability of developing countries, whereby the Heritage Foundation "Economic Freedom Index" was used to represent their economic freedom. Econometric analyzes were conducted within the framework of the 2000-2020 period in 16 developing countries of the upper-middle income bracket. As a result of the models estimated utilizing the Moment Quantile Regression Method (MM-QR), it was observed that the effect of economic freedom and financial stability on economic growth is positive and statistically significant for the country group. These research findings hold significant implications for policy makers, economists and researchers.

THE CONCEPT OF SOFT POWER IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF MIGRATION 国际关系中的软实力概念和移民的经济影响

States, as the major actors in international relations, pursue their interests in an anarchic international environment and attempt to acquire power to achieve these interests. The traditional perspective measures this power by the capacity to use force. However, in the post-Cold War era, the reduction in nuclear threats, the success of integrations, and the increase in technological developments have significantly reduced the potential for the use of force. The new multipolar world order builds interdependence through persuasion rather than the use of force. Within this new order, the most significant aspect of power is gauged by the normative capabilities of each country. This new phenomenon of power, called soft power, depends on the potential of countries to use their physical and moral values. The developmental disparity resulting from globalization and advances in technology has given rise to the phenomenon of migration. Managing migration and the resulting migration economy are crucial elements of soft power. This study aims to enhance the existing literature by examining the migration economy's power phenomenon within the field of international relations.

The aim of this study is to examine the "Decent Work and Economic Growth" section of the United Nations' (2015) "Agenda 2030: UN Sustainable Development Goals" from the perspective of occupational safety and health. Decent work consists of various dimensions, but this study specifically focuses on the aspect of occupational safety and health. While there are studies in the literature that evaluate sustainable development from the standpoint of occupational safety and health, it is crucial to investigate the topic from a human perspective, taking into account the International Labor Organization's goal of decent work. This is because the core element of working life is the human being, and sustainable development cannot be achieved without a focus on humanity. Therefore, research in this direction underscores the significance of the study. In the analysis of this study, data obtained by the International Labor Organization from various countries on the fundamental indicators of occupational safety and health have been categorized, tabulated, and evaluated, considering the World Bank's country classifications by income groups. In conclusion, there are challenges in accessing accurate data, especially in the field of occupational safety and health worldwide. Furthermore, there is a long way to go in terms of the human dimension of sustainable development resulting from occupational accidents and diseases.

Choosing the right warehouse location reduces costs while increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction in logistics processes. However, the choice of warehouse location usually involves a large number of uncertain factors. This study examines the fuzzy c-means method in the warehouse location selection process. Using the principles of fuzzy logic, it offers a methodology that allows the warehouse location to be evaluated with uncertainty and imprecise data. The flexibility, uncertainty, and successful applicability of fuzzy logic to real-world problems are important in decision-making processes such as warehouse location. The fuzzy C-means method is a clustering algorithm used to identify groups (clusters) in the data set. This approach makes decisions regarding warehouse location selection more accurate and supported by information. The results of the study show that the fuzzy C-means method can be used effectively in warehouse location selection and that this approach adds value to the decision processes in logistics management. This methodology can be used in decision-making processes on logistics planning and strategic selection of warehouse locations, while helping businesses increase their competitive advantage.

COMMODIFICATION AND EXPLOITATION OF AESTHETIC LABOR 审美劳动的商品化和剥削

This study examines what bank employees do in the face of their managers' aesthetic expectations and controls and how they experience this process. The main argument of the research is how one's aestheticism plays a role in working life. The research is designed on the main question 'Is the aestheticism of bank employees used as a means of labor exploitation? Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research designs, was adopted and the 'interpretative phenomenology' type of phenomenology research design was used. For sample selection, a total of 20 participants, both male and female, from public and private bank employees were interviewed using snowball sampling method. The research data were obtained through semi-structured in-depth interviews with the participants. Analyses were conducted using MAXQDA 22, a computer-aided qualitative data analysis program. As a result of the research; employees evaluated aesthetic labor not only as physical/visual aesthetics, but also as a whole from different perspectives such as auditory, intellectual and harmony/harmony aesthetics. Employees strive for aesthetic labor in order to participate in employment and sustainability of employment in a postmodern order based on competition. Due to the functioning of the surveillance mechanism, employees take care to keep these efforts dynamic in both manager and customer relations. The growth of the services sector has led employees to develop aesthetic labor strategies as well as aesthetic labor efforts and skills. In the research, the results of aesthetic labor exploitation of the employee in various aspects such as gender-based discrimination, commodification of labor, surveillance mechanism, obligation, emotional mask, glass ceiling, self-alienation, unfair rewarding, time and cost were reached. In this context, when a sectoral and gender-based evaluation is made, aesthetic labor exploitation is more intense in private banks and female employees.

Mobbing in the workplace is a complex and worldwide phenomenon that reflects a subjective interpretation of this event. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between mobbing and basic socio-demographic variables and some personality traits (extraversion, agreeableness, responsibility, emotional stability, intelligence/imagination, emotional intelligence, self-esteem, empathy, emotional self-awareness, personal well-being) of employees. In the cross-sectional design, data were collected from 553 employees selected from various occupations through easy sampling. Employees filled out an anonymous form containing job-related tests. Data collection tools were the standard scales i.e., A Psychological Mobbing Scale-30, personality trait questionnaire, Schutte Emotional Intelligence Test, Baron Empathy Scale, Emotional Self-Awareness Scale-11, Personal Well-Being Index-8 and Coopersmith's Self-Esteem Inventory. Results from multiple logistic regression analysis showed that there were statistically significant relationships between mobbing and age, industry, self-esteem and empathy. The results obtained are evaluated and discussed in terms of variable interaction and future research.

TÜRKİYE'S INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS AND EXPORT PERFORMANCE IN THE TEXTILE SECTOR: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS WITH THE WORLD'S TOP TEXTILE EXPORTER COUNTRIES 土耳其纺织业的国际竞争力和出口业绩:与世界顶级纺织品出口国的比较分析

The textile industry plays a pioneering role in the development of developing countries. Türkiye in Eurasia, Germany and Italy in Europe, the United States in North America, China, India, Pakistan, Twain ve South Korea in Asia are among prominent countries in the textile sector. The textile industry maintains its importance in developed countries as well as developing countries. The aim of this study is to examine the competitiveness of the textile sector, which is one of the locomotive sectors in Türkiye and its export performance over rival countries which are the prominent countries in the textile export in the world market. Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) Index and Comparative Export Performance (CEP) Index were used in this study. RCA and CEP indices were calculated using data obtained from Uncomtrade database for the period 2001-2020. According to the calculated Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) Index results, It was determined that Türkiye had a competitive advantage in two-digit textile product group SITC 65 and in 7 of the 9 three-digit sub-product groups SITC (652, 653, 655, 656, 657,658, 659) had a competitive advantage, while the competitiveness in the SITC 651 sub-product group remained at the marginal limit. According to result of Comparative Export Performance Index, It was seen that Turkey has an advantage in export against all analyzed countries except Pakistan in SITC two-digit textile product group

EXCHANGE RATE AND FIRM-LEVEL INVESTMENTS: EVIDENCE FROM BORSA ISTANBUL 汇率与公司层面的投资:伊斯坦布尔证券交易所的证据

The relationship between exchange rates and firm-level investments of the companies operating in the manufacturing sector listed on Borsa İstanbul (BIST) was investigated over a period of 2008 to 2021 using panel data analysis. A total of 81 companies from 7 industries within the manufacturing sector were examined. Exchange rate and firm-level relationships were identified using the Euro-USD basket standard deviation and real exchange rates index. The findings indicated a negative relationship between firm-level investments and exchange rate volatility for all industries, but a positive relationship between firm-level investments and real exchange rates for most industries. Furthermore, it is found that the effects of exchange rate volatility and real exchange rates on investments are realized with a delay for most industries. Overall, the results suggest that firms are reluctant to invest in times of high exchange rate volatility, but are more willing to invest when the value of Turkish Lira appreciates in real terms.

The introduction of mobile technologies’s included users in the mobile world with new features. The progress of mobile marketing has affected the development of the mobile application market. Mobile applications, which developed in parallel with the development of mobile marketing, helped the development of new applications in the health sector. Developing mobile technologies’re becoming widespread in the health sector. With the mobile health applications developed, different opportunities can be offered to patients or users who want a healthier lifestyle, and the applications can have the power to increase the quality of life of people. One of the rising values in mobile health applications’s gamification. With gamification, health services can be offered to the user in a mobile environment. It aims to monitor their health by rewarding its users because it’s motivational on the basis of gamification. The gaming experience leads to the formation of loyalty towards the mobile application with the value created by the user by connecting to the mobile application. In this research, the effect of game experiences on customer loyalty as a result of gamified content in mobile health applications was investigated. As a result of the research, it’s been shown that the game experience dimensions in mobile health applications’ve a positive effect on customer loyalty and suggested that healthcare companies or application developers can apply gamification strategies in their mobile applications to increase the loyalty of their customers.
