Airports make significant contributions to the country's economy through the economic and social contributions they provide to the region in which they are located. In this context, many new airport infrastructure investments have been made in Turkey in recent years, such as the large-scale Istanbul Airport, Ordu-Giresun Airport, which was built on an embankment over the sea, and Çukurova Regional Airport. This study aims to evaluate the socioeconomic effects they have created by making a SWOT analysis of the airports that have been built and are under construction in Turkey in recent years, from an inductive perspective. In line with the findings obtained for all airports built in Turkey in recent years, the effects of new airports were discussed, and suggestions were made on how the policies for airport construction, which is one of the most important aviation infrastructure investments, should continue in the future.

Turkey has experienced rapid population growth, rapid urbanization and industrialization in recent years. Therefore, Turkey's demand for energy has been increasing over the years. Also the main issue is Turkey's foreign dependency on energy resources. Researching the determinants of energy consumption is important in terms of developing policies for more efficient use of energy. For this reason, the determinants of energy consumption in Turkey were analyzed using the ARDL Boundary Test and the Toda-Yamamoto causality test, based on data from 1980-2020. While fossil fuel energy consumption as the dependent variable in the model, GDP, export rate and the ratio of fixed capital investments to GDP are independent variables. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there is a longrun relationship between the variables. An increase in economic growth by 1 percent, increases energy consumption by 0.34%. An increase in exports by 1 percent increases energy consumption by 0.57% in the long run while an increase in fixed capital investments by 1 percent, increases energy consumption by 0.15%. As a result of the causality analysis, it was concluded that there is one-way causality from GDP growth to energy consumption. It has been determined that there is a one-way causality running from fixed capital investments and exports to energy consumption.

In today's world, the concept of human rights stands as a beacon of hope, advocating for the fundamental dignity and freedoms of every individual. Rooted in the recognition that all human beings possess inherent worth, human rights provide a universal framework that transcends cultural, social, and political boundaries. They represent a collective aspiration to create a world where fairness, justice, and equality prevail. Throughout history, the concept of human rights has evolved, driven by the need to address pressing societal challenges and protect individuals from oppression, discrimination, and violence. From ancient civilizations to the modern era, societies have grappled with questions surrounding the rights and responsibilities of individuals and the role of governments in safeguarding these rights. Today, human rights encompass a broad spectrum of principles and entitlements that serve as a moral compass for societies worldwide. They encompass civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights, recognizing that a person's well-being and dignity are intertwined with their ability to enjoy a range of freedoms, opportunities, and protections.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to examine the impact of migration from Syria on Turkey's social capital. In this context, Turkey's social capital index produced at the provincial level and be considered as intervention year of 2012, the pre-intervention of 2007 and 2017 were evaluated after the intervention. One of the methods accepted in the impact analysis literature to examine the impact of immigrants who entered Turkey after the Syrian civil war on social capital; single group designs, comparative group designs, difference-in-difference method and trend score matching methods are applied and the results are interpreted. Accordingly, it was observed that Syrian migration did not have a positive or negative effect on the social capital index values evaluated within the scope of the criteria discussed in this study.

The European Union’s (EU) proposed Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) has gained attention as a potential policy tool to address carbon leakage and promote climate policy alignment in international trade. This paper examines the implications of the EU CBAM for Türkiye and conducts a SWOT analysis to evaluate Türkiye’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the context of CBAM implementation. In the paper, firstly EU’s environmental policy, European Green Deal (EGD) and CBAM are defined and examined in historical perspective. Secondly Türkiye’s environmental policy on behalf of CBAM is explained. Then, the effects of EGD and CBAM on Türkiye’s foreign trade is discussed. The last part is devoted to SWOT analysis. The analysis begins by exploring Türkiye’s strengths including its domestic climate policies and diverse economy. The analysis also highlights the weaknesses that could challenge Türkiye’s competitiveness under the CBAM. It identifies opportunities within the CBAM framework including incentives for green investments and collaboration for increased market access and also acknowledges potential threats such as trade disputes.

This paper examines the labor market informality in Turkey at two margins, unregistered employment and wage underreporting. We first document the stylized facts about the informal employment and its change over the 15 years from 2004 to 2018. While doing this, we examine the heterogeneity in the informality across regions, sectors, firm properties and worker characteristics. Second, we decompose the change in the informality rate into its components using the Oaxaca-Blinder methodology. We find that the workforce composition change in gender, age, education, occupation, and industries explains half of the decline in the informality rate from 2004 to 2018. Finally, we analyze the wage underreporting behavior in the Turkish labor market using both survey data and social security registry. We show that there has been a wide gap between the wages earned and the wages declared to the Social Security Institution among registered employees. However, this discrepancy declines significantly in recent years.

Since the 1970s, the global economic system has been reshaped in the light of neo-liberal policies, and financialization has become widespread and deepened with monetary policies that replaced the Keynesian "Welfare State" approach. The transition of the economic system resulted in a corresponding alteration at the spatial dimension. This transformation, which was accelerated by the globalisation process, has rebuilt the local by introducing new models of governance. The study argues that the World Bank is one of the principal institutions that played a pivotal role in formulating the strategies for this transformation. The aim of the study is to show how the concepts of governance and glocalism, as the implementation strategies of neoliberal policies, are institutionalised and promoted through the World Bank. The study concludes that the World Bank is primarily characterised as a regulatory political entity rather than solely functioning as a technical organisation in the glocalization process, which refers to adapting global socio-economic systems to local or regional contexts.

Teachers are extremely valuable and sacred employees in terms of cultivating the precious works of all generations. It is considered as a pre-acceptance that teachers, who face many problems such as basic wages, work-family conflict, health problems and being appointed to civil service, are engaged about work throughout their careers. While feeling this engagement, how they come into contact with the concept of emotional labor is the focus of the research. In other words, do teachers reflect their feelings as they are despite problems, or do they behave as they should? In this context, the relevant research was applied to 192 teachers working in Trabzon in the period of June-July 2022 using the snowball sampling method and the data were collected by face-to-face survey technique. The data were interpreted within the framework of correlation and regression analyzes with the SPSS program. According to the obtained correlation analysis results; there is a significant and positive relationship (r=0.441, p

This study aims at exploring the process of maintaining religio-institutions particularly by using a qualitative abductive approach. Institutional theorists accept religion -among others such as state, market, professions and family etc.- as an institutional sector which also produces unquestionable institutional arrangements (e.g., halal, pray, zakat) in order first to provide and then to assure an earthly order, in turn a happy life after death to its proponents. Depending on these, this study’s focus is to explore and define the rationales, strategies of, and tools for maintaining religio-institutions basing on a clear case (i.e., rebellion of chief of Butah Tribe Malik bin Nuwayra in an effort not to give alms and various attempts of Caliph Abu Bakr for maintenance of existing religio-institutional order). To this end, data have been collected from secondary data resources (i.e., archival documents such as verses, hadiths, historical documents and texts), and analyzed by using qualitative data analysis technics such as content analysis.

Employees spend a significant part of their lives in the workplace, and the time spent here wears them out physically, mentally, and psychologically. This situation, which we call employee attrition, makes itself felt more especially in places with job satisfaction and insufficient motivation. The main purpose of this research is to question the attrition of employees through loss of motivation, shrinkage of aim and organizational desensitization. The research method is cross-sectional research in quantitative and general screening models. The study's sample was determined according to the random sampling technique and consisted of employees working in different universities. The data of the research were collected by online survey method. The research examined the mediator and moderator role of organizational desensitization in the relationship between shrinkage of aim and loss of motivation in employees. In addition, the differences in the levels of loss of motivation, shrinkage of aim, and organizational desensitization, which are the sub-dimensions of attrition of the employees, were examined according to the demographic variables. According to the findings, it was determined that goal decrease and organizational desensitization positively affected the loss of motivation, and organizational desensitization had a mediating and regulatory role in the effect of goal decrease on motivation loss. These findings showed that a negative emotional state affects another negative emotional state in employees, and negative emotions affect other emotions with a kind of emotional contagion.
