The misleading fallacy of, higher the chemical fertilizer higher the yield therefore, better the income be. Have triggered in an over usage of chemical fertilizer more than the recommend standard. This has created in a self-pressuring situation among farmers in developing countries. This vulnerability occasionally leads into a decision-making situation where both life and death are seen as viable options. Hence in order to safeguard the farmer, with the aims of educating these disobedient farmers, through the process of validating the existing chemical fertilizer standard. This research was carried forth in Sri Lanka, for the paddy farmer. The data were collected in a data triangulation, where a controlled experiment, two series of interviews and two sets of questioners were utilized. Both, quantitative as well as qualitative data and, primary as well as secondary data were collected. Depending on the nature of the data collection instrument, an experiment, thematic, descriptive and a correlation analysis were performed through statistical software applications. Further, a yield and a soil test was performed for the controlled experiment plots. By adjusting the parameters accordingly, this study could be used as a model by other countries, regions or crops. Finally concluding on a policy implication, to eliminate or reducing the chemical fertilizer over usage in developing countries. Further avenues for a managerial implication where the Balance of Payment could be used to positively stimulating a developing countries Gross Domestic Product to achieve sustainable economic growth in the long run are discussed.

Background: The present study pertains to appraise the soil fertility in the foot hills of Pir Panjal by measuring different physico-chemical parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity (EC), organic carbon (OC), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) in the foothill of Himalayas. Study area with unique physiographic and socio-economic identities have attributed to the soil fertility. Methods: Soil tests were carried at Soil Testing Laboratory (STL), Department of Horticulture. Soil samples at 1-30 cm depth were collected from 10 sample sites selected through composite sampling. Samples were collected randomly keeping in mind the maximum areal coverage. From each site, three sub samples were taken from selected locations to have holistic view of the soil fertility. Conclusion: The study showed deficiency of N & K in all the soil samples, with little variations in other parameters. Sample sites adopting organic farming showed optimum soil fertility. In the study we concluded that practice of adapting organic fertilizers is suitable for maintaing soil fertility. Least perception in the use of different fertilizers (organic & inorganic) a potent cause in the soil deformities in the region.

Now a day the drinking water quantity is day by day going down due to some environmental conditions or climatic changes and water scarcity. The groundwater level also decreased in the summer season in comparing to other weather conditions. Generally, the water demand per day is 133per capita. In desert regions or low groundwater level areas the water consumption is very low and usage is also reduced. Minimizing water problems recycled water is used for plantation, garden works, construction work; etc.., So this reason the water saving is important and innovation is needed for the usage of water for any purpose, mainly needed to drinking. This project deals with the dew drain water analysis for drinking purposes. The characteristics of dew drain water match the natural water as per BIS.

The study highlights the cultural and historical significance of arnis or eskrima, the indigenous art of self-preservation developed by the early Filipino natives. As a form of self-defense, arnis or eskrima is deemed to have evolved in the Philippines during the pre-colonial period through ingenuity, multi-cultural interaction, and friendship between them and Asian traders. Arnis is a graceful yet exquisite hand-to-hand and armed routine intended for combat with a peculiar history linked to rebellion and struggles among commoners who sought freedom from the reigning colonizers. It is interesting to report that the symbolic authentic Filipino martial art (F.M.A.), which has been passed on through generations, had eventually reached the pedestal of recognition as a national sport, art, and culture of the Philippines under the Republic Act 9850. Arnis continues to get popular from the local to the international arena, where Filipino grandmasters, masters, and practitioners conduct seminar training and promotional tournaments to brush elbows with their counterparts in high regard and camaraderie. As a sport, it contributes to the physical development, well-being, discipline, and character of the players or practitioners from different walks of life. The Filipino people's sense of nationalism, patriotism, and national identity is reflected in arnis, a part of their rich historical and cultural heritage.

Agriculture contributes approximately 28 percent of India's GDP, and agriculture employs approximately 65 percent of the country's labor force. India is the world's second-largest agricultural crop producer. Agriculture is not only an important part of the expanding economy, but it is also necessary for our survival. The technological contribution could assist the farmer in increasing his yield. The selection of each crop is critical in the planning of agricultural production. The selection of crops will be influenced by a variety of factors, including market price, production rate, and the policies of the various government departments. Numerous changes are required in the agricultural field in order to improve the overall performance of our Indian economy. By using machine learning techniques that are easily applied to the farming sector we can improve agriculture. Along with all of the advancements in farming machinery and technology, the availability of useful and accurate information about a variety of topics plays an important role in the success of the industry. It is a difficult task to predict agricultural output since it depends on a number of variables, such as irrigation, ultraviolet (UV), insect killers, stimulants & the quantity of land enclosed in that specific area. It is proposed in this article that two distinct Machine Learning (ML) methods be used to evaluate the yields of the crops. The two algorithms, SVR and Linear Regression, have been well suited to validate the variable parameters of the continuous variable estimate with 185 acquired data points.

As the number of wireless devices continues to increase rapidly, mobile ad hoc networking (MANET) has emerged as an exciting and significant technological advance. MANETs were susceptible to attacks because of their open media, continuously changing network design, cooperation mechanisms, lack of a protective measure and management point, and a coherent layer of attack. However, regular functioning frequently generates traffic corresponding to a "signature attack," which leads to false alerts. One of the significant disadvantages is the inability to identify new attacks without established signatures. In this article, we describe our efforts towards creating the capability for MANET intrusion detection (ID). Based on our previous works on outlier detection, we explore how Intrusion Detection in Partial Swarm Optimization (IDPSO) and Support vector Regression(SVR) may improve an anomaly detection method to give additional information about attack kinds and origins. We can use a basic formula to determine the attack type for many well-known assaults whenever an anomaly is detected.

Agricultural sustainability is essential to enhance food and water security, particularly in the context of climate change. In the recent past, applications of hydrogels in agriculture have received substantial attention among researchers as well as among farmers. This review elaborates on various aspects of hydrogels such as classifications, ideal properties for agricultural application, and interaction mechanisms with soil and plants. The experimental methods for determining hydrogel properties were given specific attention as properties such as swelling, retention, slow release, and degradation are of vital importance to agricultural sustainability. The studies conducted over the years on the effect of hydrogel application on different crops are reviewed. Several hydrogel studies demonstrate significant improvement in water consumption, water use efficiency, crop growth and yield parameters. The review looks into hydrogel degradation mechanisms in soil and also the ‘test methods’ for assessment of biodegradation. The gap areas in research on hydrogels and agricultural sustainability have also been identified. The need for developing a framework for the evaluation of the suitability of hydrogel for agricultural applications has been brought out. The review would encourage further research on enhancing the ideal properties of hydrogel and synthesizing with natural polymers. The use of hydrogel in agriculture for controlled nutrient release could be an alternative to conventional release methods for fertilizers and pesticides, thereby reducing the environmental footprint. The reduction in water footprint in major crops such as paddy and wheat through hydrogel might establish a shift towards sustainable irrigation practices if adopted on a large scale. Integrating innovative solutions with environmental-friendly hydrogels in the coming decades will contribute to the pursuit of achieving sustainable development goals.

IoT (Internet of Things) refers to a system of internet-connected devices which are capable of sending and receiving the data without human intervention. This technology enabled the remote monitoring in health care sector which lead to keep the patients safe and heathy, and ensuring to deliver superlative care. Some people apparently should be taken care by the caretakers and other family members. This is not provided by everyone in today’s life. So, they may forget to consume medicines at the right time and may also forget what pill has to be taken. This paper aims to develop a device which alerts the patients to take medicine at the right time in an efficient manner. The proposed system has a facility which alerts the patients to take medicine on time and also acknowledges the medicine in-take through a Gmail notification. In the proposed system, the alarm is set up with the help of Blynk app indicating the patient to take the medicine. The IR sensor interfaced with the microcontroller unit determines the patient medicine in-take. The sensor detects the hand movement of the patient when he opens and takes the medicine from the slot provided. The corresponding message is sent to the caretaker via Gmail based on the IR sensor status.

This technology enabled the remote monitoring in health care sector which lead to keep the patients safe and heathy, and ensuring to deliver superlative care. Some people apparently should be taken care by the caretakers and other family members. This is not provided by everyone in today’s life. So, they may forget to consume medicines at the right time and may also forget what pill has to be taken. This paper aims to develop a device which alerts the patients to take medicine at the right time in an efficient manner. The proposed system has a facility which alerts the patients to take medicine on time and also acknowledges the medicine in-take through a Gmail notification. In the proposed system, the alarm is set up with the help of Blynk app indicating the patient to take the medicine. The IR sensor interfaced with the microcontroller unit determines the patient medicine in-take. The sensor detects the hand movement of the patient when he opens and takes the medicine from the slot provided. The corresponding message is sent to the caretaker via Gmail based on the IR sensor status.","PeriodicalId":42396,"journal":{"name":"Alinteri Journal of Agriculture Sciences","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84404195","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
