Different researchers produced enormous literature on false confession by employing different methodologies, including doctrinal research, surveys, experiments and trial transcripts. These studies documented the existence, causes, and effects of false confession. In addition, these studies examined the authenticity of confession, how the police obtain a false confession and the behavioral and psychological process behind false confession. However, many of the studies could not investigate the errors that the trials courts and the first appellate courts commit while drawing the inference of guilt of the accused from confession. As a result, the question “what errors do the trial courts and the first appellate courts commit while reasoning with confession” has not been the subject of much analysis. The present study is an effort to address that gap in the literature. After qualitative content analysis of the five appellate courts’ decisions, this article found that the trial courts and the first appellate courts used inadmissible, implausible, contradictory, and uncorroborated confession against the accused in murder cases in Pakistan. Morover, the trial courts and the first appellate courts failed to look into the possibility of alternative inference which could have been drawn from the confession.

Ceramic art was associated with the advent of ancient man, since he used it in his daily life to store food and bury the dead. He did not care about the aesthetic side. Ceramics art evolved with the evolution of man and became competing in importance for the art of painting and sculpture. The migration of some potters out of the country and travel to study the evolution of ceramic art and its clear reflection on Arabic porcelain provides for the identification of Arabic porcelain in Iraq, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has been a major topic of discussion and debate in recent years, with many arguing about its potential impact on Pakistan's economy. This paper aims to analyze the mechanisms through which CPEC will impact Pakistan's economy. The paper begins with an introduction to CPEC and the Pak-China cooperation before delving into the specific subtopics of infrastructure, energy, and economy. We examine the infrastructure projects that are being built as part of CPEC, including roads, railways, and ports, and explore how these projects are expected to improve Pakistan's transportation and logistics capabilities. We also investigate the energy projects that are part of CPEC, which are expected to greatly increase Pakistan's energy capacity. Finally, the paper examines the potential impact of CPEC on Pakistan's economy, including its effects on the country's GDP, employment rates, and other economic indicators. In conclusion, this paper provides an analysis framework for understanding the potential impact of CPEC on Pakistan's economy, and suggests that the benefits of CPEC are likely to be significant.

This abstract aims to address gender disparities in education and explore the role of empowering girls through education in Pakistan. The study focuses on examining the impact of educational interventions on girls' empowerment and the potential for reducing gender inequalities in the Pakistani education system. The quantitative research methodology involved analysis techniques. A sample of 200 school teachers, 200 students, and 50 parents were selected from different regions of Pakistan to ensure representation. The surveys assess the perceptions, attitudes, and challenges related to girls' education, The collected data were analyzed using statistical methods, and content analysis. This research methodology provided a comprehensive understanding of the issues and potential solutions, contributing to the development of evidence-based policies and interventions to promote gender equality in education. A structured questionnaire was administered to assess the girls' educational experiences, aspirations, and perceptions of gender equality. The findings reveal the existence of significant gender disparities in education within the selected schools. Factors such as limited access to educational resources, societal norms, and discriminatory practices were identified as barriers hindering girls' educational advancement. However, the research highlights the transformative power of education in empowering girls and promoting gender equality. It was observed that educational interventions contributed to increased self-confidence, improved academic performance, and enhanced decision-making skills among the girls. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for comprehensive policy measures to address gender disparities in education. It recommends implementing targeted interventions, including providing safe and inclusive learning environments, teacher training on gender-sensitive pedagogy, and community engagement programs. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of sensitizing parents, communities, and policymakers about the value of girls' education and the positive social impact it can have.

Africa recorded her first confirmed COVID-19 case in Egypt on 14 February, 2020. Thus far, the number of new confirmed cases and deaths increased despite the World Health Organization (WHO) protocols. The study aims at determining if the conceived and adopted protocols against COVID-19 and the post-COVID era in the infrastructural deficient societies of Africa and indeed Nigeria are sustainable. Empirical research design was adopted based on the data randomly drawn from a population who are residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Anambra, Lagos, Kano, Rivers States, States termed most vulnerable to infection in Nigeria. The sampling unit was based on a pilot study, using four hundred randomly selected adult residents who are literate in the sampled States using online structured questionnaire, supplemented by phone call - oral interviews, and other literature sourced from secondary sources. The primary data used for the study were obtained through the administration of questionnaires via online, and were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The results were presented in tables, graphs and charts. The Mean Weighted Value statistical analysis was carried out with the Gross Mean Weight Value (cut-off point) at 2.60. The study found that Unplanned, Uncoordinated and Unregulated Transport System, Epileptic Power Supply, Dominant Primary Economic Production, Unplanned Settlement, Corruption, Congested Settlement, Congested Market Places, Small Traders and Artisans sustenance on daily basis, Nigeria’s Mono-economy, Import Dependency and Shortage of Food militated against the COVID-19 control protocols and still subsists in post-COVID era. It therefore recommends massive infrastructural development in African countries for sustainability, diversify economic activities in order to create additional values to the socio-economic activities that will lead millions of Africans out of poverty, put in place and enforce sustainable hygiene protocols that will promote and guarantee good health and healthy environment of the societies in Africa.
