Due to the Internet's proliferation and the globalisation of trade, retail has become a highly competitive and fast-paced industry. The expansion of the Internet has made it possible for a new kind of store to open, and it has also compelled traditional stores to think about adopting an online-only strategy. Due to the radical nature of the shift from brick-and-mortar to online retail, stores should think twice before committing to a new e-commerce strategy. The business model of online retail is not limited by traditional store hours or geographic location, and it may serve markets across an entire country for a relatively low outlay of resources. For these and other reasons, online shopping has quickly become an alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar stores. The present paper seeks to demystify the factors, influencing consumer online shopping behaviour in the food and grocery segment, in the state of West Bengal. Availability and Affordability, Convenience and Trust, Quality of Service, Motivation to Buy, Flexibility and Responsiveness, Perceived Risk, Product Attributes, have been identified as the key factors, influencing adoption of online food and grocery shopping.

The historical scenario of Indian politics marked a period of One Party dominance, which pertained to the Indian National Congress' supremacy in the years following India's independence in 1947. This party played a crucial role in the struggle for freedom and garnered considerable backing throughout the nation. The waning of the Congress Party's control led to a more diversified political landscape in India, where numerous parties and coalitions competed for authority. Despite remaining a significant political entity, the Congress Party's influence became more localized, and it encountered opposition from both national and regional parties. It's worth noting that the concept of one-party dominance has evolved recently due to the emergence of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a predominant force in national politics, as discussed earlier.

Ground water level in Haryana state continuously declines due to the over exploitation. In some of the blocks, the situation is very critical and there is a need to take the appropriate step to sustain the ground water level in the state. “Mera Pani Meri Virasat” scheme is one of the initiatives of the Haryana government to sustain the ground water level in the state through the crop diversification. The main purpose of the scheme is to encourage the farmers towards growing the crops consuming less water (like maize, bajra, pulses and cotton) in place of crops consuming more water especially paddy. The present study examines the “Mera Pani Meri Virasat” scheme and cropping pattern in Haryana state. The study based on secondary data that has been retrieved from various secondary sources. Descriptive statistical tools like percentage, compound annual growth rate, table and charts were used in the study. The results of the study indicates that MPMV is an ambitious scheme because it helps in risk reduction in agricultural activities as well as sustaining the ground water level in the state. Under the MPMV scheme, 49157 farmers are registered with the area 95117.8 hectares as on 8 Oct. 2021. The study also reveals that area and production of paddy as well as cotton are continuously increasing and showing the positive growth rate whereas area of bajra is declining continue but still the production of bajra is increasing. Both the area and production of maize crops continues declining. For policy implications, it is suggested that the government should organise the awareness programmes at panchayat levels about the scheme and its benefits.

Absence of written document on what brought the emergence of Development Communication in the Batangas State University unwove the conduct of this study. Historical and oral history research methods with qualitative approach were used to conduct this study. Furthermore, the researchers formulated an interview guide for each set of informants who were chosen via a set of criteria devised before the data gathering was done. Informants of the study were first, the former Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences where Development Communication is under, second, the former Faculty Members who taught major subjects in AB Development Communication program of then Pablo Borbon Memorial Institute of Technology (PBMIT) during 1992-2000and lastly, selected students of the program. The researchers have undertaken a workshop with a history instructor to be properly trained and taught on how to conduct historical research. Narrative theory was used as a framework in this study. Document and content analyses and coding were also conducted by the researchers to analyze and interpret retrieved historical documents such as curriculum, instruction, and research and collected narratives of the informants. Themes were derived as results of this study. Moreover, introduction of Development Communication Program rooted from the need for students in the College of Arts and Sciences and of PBMIT in general, and that offering of the Development Communication program which is not offered in other universities in Batangas might cause the recruitment of more students for the institution. Moreover, Ms. Rachelle de Chavez, the daughter of Dr. Ernesto de Chavez (the College President of PBMIT during that time), suggested the offering of the Development Communication program in PBMIT. So, through exposures to several Colleges’ degree programs, the administration headed by then Dr. Ernesto de Chavez considered the adoption of the Development Communication program of the UPLB in 1992. It was then offered under the College of Arts and Sciences as a Bachelor of Arts degree.

In the most recent few years, the retail online store has emerged as the most prominent trend in the field of social services. People have a tendency to shop online at retail websites an increasing amount. This pattern is expected to continue to gain momentum as a direct result of the development of 3D virtual reality. As a result of this, the potential for the establishment of online retail outlets has garnered a lot of interest. This study investigates the effect that the proliferation of head-mounted displays (HMDs) has had on foot traffic in retail establishments and investigates how virtual reality (VR) could improve the overall shopping experience for customers at every stage of the journey. We used a qualitative research design, which included interactions with both industry specialists and average customers as part of our investigation. In addition, the purpose of this study is to create new ground by making an attempt to use the existing literature as a guide to assist in predicting future directions and trends for purchasing online.

Virtually instantaneous information dissemination has narrowed the once existing knowledge gap between multinational corporations and customers (i.e. Rana Plaza collapse, 2013). Consumers begin to play a significant role in the support of workers. Their increasing social consciousness has evident economic implications. MNEs have attempted to counteract the loss of social prestige by primarily establishing (and imposing on their suppliers) codes of conduct and ethics that stipulate a minimum level for decent work conditions. This article intends to assess, from many perspectives, the social reputation and social sustainability that have recently drawn the attention of stakeholders (MNEs, consumers, government and non-government organizations, unions). These "new" types of social initiatives (code of behaviour, social ranking, consumer campaigns, and boycotting) are informative and could aid in the dissemination of ILO labour standards. Clearly, they can only provide supplementary assistance to workers who are struggling in the traditional struggle between Work and Capital. The inclination to evaluate the social sensitivity of MNEs using a single criterion that applies to both "developing" and "developed" nations risks fostering a "race to the bottom" mentality.

Research published in the past few years challenges the long-held belief that only privileged Western white young women suffer from eating disorders by showing that food insecurity is one of the elements that can contribute to the rise of eating disorders. However, it appears that legal scholars have ignored this ground-breaking discovery and its ramifications. This research seeks to address this knowledge gap by investigating whether and how human rights international monitoring systems and the law and policy of food security address the correlation between eating disorders and food insecurity. According to our research, the existing legal and policy frameworks do not address this connection. We believe that policymakers would be well-served by acknowledging the possibility that marginalised food insecure people of any age, race, or gender may also struggle with eating disorders.

As society looks for solutions promoting sustainable development, the relationship between innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development is a topic of great importance today. In the context of sustainable development, social innovations also significantly contribute to the growth of sustainopreneurship. In light of the background, this study looks into the challenges Sri Lanka faces in fostering social innovation and sustainopreneurship. Data for the study were gathered through in-depth interviews with fifteen sustainopreneurs in Sri Lanka using the multiple case study technique. The study's findings point to a number of obstacles to the growth of social innovations and sustainopreneurship, including: a) competition from unsustainable firms; b) a lack of government backing; c) expensive costs; and d) people's attitudes about these types of ventures. This study adds to the literature on social innovations and sustainopreneurship due to the paucity of studies in this field. Practitioners and politicians can use the recommendations as important knowledge for future strategic changes.
