India's economy is among the fastest expanding in the world, yet it also ranks among the most unequal. Throughout the past thirty years, inequality has been steadily increasing in the country. A significant portion of the wealth generated by crony capitalism and inheritance has been monopolized by the wealthiest. Their rate of wealth accumulation is significantly exceeded that of the impoverished, who struggle to make ends meet and obtain adequate healthcare and education. In the paper we try to scrutinize the trends in income and wealth inequality in India and also examine the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on economic inequality in the nation. Some policy suggestions are made as India navigates the road to recovery to alleviate the gaps posed by the extraordinary difficulties presented by COVID-19 and promote a more resilient and equitable economic environment in post-pandemic India.

When we talk about experience, everyone understands that it has gone beyond the customer's sphere and today the world is talking about the Experience economy. Over the past decade, the creation of personalized experiences has also entered the realm of employees, which has led to the development of employee experience (EX) and it is already a significant corporate priority for many organisations. Without focusing on the employee experience, it is no longer possible to achieve high level of employee engagement. Many companies invest a lot of resources in employee engagement, however, despite this, specific metrics may not be as high as the allocated budget. The problem is that organizations focus on the outcome, which is employee engagement, but not on the cause, which is the employee Experience. Companies that understand the importance of creating a good experience for employees work thoughtfully in this direction and create special mechanisms - EX systems. Only a systematic approach can consistently create a good employee experience, to say nothing of a wow experience. The purpose of the given article is to describe the Employee wow Experience system and reflect the main decisions related to it: (1) What is employee wow experience and why is it important; (2) Categories of the employee's wow experience; (3) Framework for creating the wow experience; (4) Evaluation and motivation scheme for creation the wow experience.

Organizational Commitment is considered as one of the most important factors that emotionally attach employees into organization. Such commitment is needed to reach organizational goals. This study aims at exploring and analyzing the Organizational Commitment among administrative staff at private higher education in Jakarta, one of the biggest cities in Indonesia, that consists of thousands of higher education Institutions. The mothod used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data was gathered using questionnaire that consist statements represent three types of Organizational Commitment, which are affective, continuance and normative. The results of this research reveal several facts about the organizational commitment of administrative employees. The first fact shows that the organizational commitment of employees who have worked at private higher education for a long time is higher compared to employees who have worked for less. This shows that emotional bonding between employees and the organization are formed over time. This fact is also supported by data that employees who have a longer work period have stronger emotional bonding than employees who have a shorter work period. However, another fact has been revealed is that the work period doesn’t prevent employees to move to other organizations that provide better opportunities and advantages for them.

International trade contributes significantly to a country’s economic growth at various stages of a nation’s development. Trade promotes competition and results in a more efficient allocation of resources and, hence, higher efficiency. Trade also encourages technological progress, technology transfer across countries, and development of new products, to name a few. This paper has two objectives- 1) To examine various trade theories on how trade impacts an economy’s growth, and 2) To analyse the trade data for India’s leading trading partner countries, and examine consistency of such data with predictions of the “Gravity model of trade”. Various trade theories are explained – the “Ricardian model of trade” (19th century) also known as the “Comparative Advantage Theory”, “Heckscher-Ohlin Model” (1920’s), also called the “Factor Proportions Theory”, “New Trade Theory” (NTT) by Paul Krugman (1979), “New-New Trade Theory” by Melitz (2003) and the “Gravity model of trade” by Tinbergen (1962). The predictions of the “Gravity model of trade” are tested for India using the 2021 data of the country’s leading export and import partners. The data shows the top three trading partner countries for India are the US, the UAE and China. These countries are large economies and hence consistent with the predictions of the Gravity model. Bangladesh is India’s 4th largest exporting partner – which is explained by the historically close cultural ties between India and Bangladesh facilitated by common language and borders. Overall, we can say that India’s trade data is consistent with the predictions of the Gravity model. India trades more with larger economies and those countries that are in close proximity in terms of cultural ties and distance.

This systematic review examines the complex interplay between employee motivation and competitive dynamics within organizations. The study aims to identify cognitive and behavioral challenges affecting employee motivation, investigate the impact of workplace competitive dynamics, and propose strategies to enhance motivation and productivity. Based on the PRISMA Checklist, a systematic search was conducted between 2000 and 2023 across databases such as PubMed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar. Upon initial screening, 11 studies were selected, which were evaluated for cognitive and behavioral factors influencing employee motivation within competitive organizational dynamics. The review identifies cognitive challenges, such as confirmation bias and attention-related cognitive errors, which have a significant impact on decision-making processes and motivation. A number of behavioral challenges affect job motivation, including ambiguity bias and a lack of attitudinal professionalism. Goal-setting, autonomy, and effective leadership are some of the strategies to improve motivation, as well as reducing biases and creating a conducive working environment. The review synthesizes the existing literature to provide a comprehensive understanding of the complex relationship between employee motivation and competitive dynamics. By identifying cognitive and behavioral challenges, providing insights into their interplay, and proposing practical strategies to improve organizational performance, it contributes to the improvement of organizations. By leveraging the identified challenges and strategies, organizations will be able to improve their decision-making processes and cultivate motivated employees. The findings revealed that a positive work environment and sustained employee engagement can be achieved by addressing biases, clarifying roles, fostering autonomy, and promoting effective leadership.

The concept of occupation has become specific, specialized, and competitive with time. Locomotive Pilots (Loco-Pilots) are one such specific group tasked with operating the Locomotives in Indian Railways which power and haul the trains. The themes highlighted from the literature in the country context (which is mostly quantitative) talk about occupational stress, fatigue, noise noise-induced hearing loss among others. The literature also points toward duty and rest, frequency of duty, and crew management systems. Crew Management System is a software application which was introduced to streamline the scheduling and management. The objective of this study was to document and discuss this Crew Management System. Methodology: The research design was descriptive and the tools of questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used to collect data for quantitative and qualitative respectively. The sampling was been conducted purposively. The ethical considerations of informed consent and anonymity were put into place. Results: The Crew Management System made a contribution to scheduling and management and is better than the manual scheduling of the past. Although, initially there was an issue to learn the software and interface but now it is acceptable. There exist some operational problems, that in some stations the internet or link often is not stable thus operation of the CMS becomes difficult and sometimes it does not operate at its regular speed across devices. The CMS is a tool for the future that if monitored and enhanced with a further simplified user interface will provide direct benefits to crew scheduling and management.

A form of art that demonstrates skills of artisans in the form of metal and pottery can be termed as ‘craftwork’. Also referred to as crafts, it could also include work that can be done on flower, paper, leather, fiber to name a few. In a developing country like India, this finds its presence as a Small Sector Industry (SSI herewith). In the last seven and a half decades of independence, this sector has seen its share of ups and downs and managed to weather many challenges. Two most challenging areas has always been the rise in population and consequently unemployment. The purpose of this article is to provide readers with a better understanding of the SSI industry by outlining its features, difficulties, and possibilities for development and improvement. We believe that stakeholders, legislators, and entrepreneurs will find our work useful in their pursuit of launching and growing successful businesses in the modern day.

Traditional banking practices from the British era, through the reforms era, nationalization, privatization, and the rise of an ever-increasing number of international banks in India, all comprise a vast canvas that makes up India's banking industry's history. Thus, the development of banking in India has been a protracted process. Keeping pace with the trends, India's banking sector has also reached new heights. Banks' methods of operation have undergone a dramatic transformation as a result of technological advancements. The danger of a lack of work-life balance is particularly evident in the banking sector. When it comes to satisfying their clients' varying requirements, bank employees exert tremendous effort. Tightening deadlines and increased workloads mean that workers must prioritise the quality of their product. It's challenging to strike a balance between work and personal life in today's fast-paced, always-on society. Human resource quality directly impacts the success of the banking industry.

Finance is one of the vital components of a health system. Both public and private sources fund health systems. Health financing includes the processes of acquiring, managing and allocating funds. In most emerging nations, private finance is a key source of funding for health care. The private sources are made up of households and employers who pay the service providers directly or through insurance payments. Private involvement in the healthcare industry has steadily increased since the introduction of neoliberal policies in India in the early 1990s. In this context, an attempt is made in this paper to examine the pattern of health expenditure and the linkages among the economic status of the state, total health expenditure (THE), out-of-pocket expenditure (OOPE) and health infrastructure at the macro level. The analysis is based on the secondary data from several published sources. The results indicate a decline in the share of private financing in total health expenditure at a compound annual growth rate of -1.28 between 2004-05 and 2019-20. The Pearson correlation coefficient between OOPE and health infrastructure was not found to be significant.

Every day, our workplace is influenced by the presence of emotions, which form an essential part of our biological makeup. These emotions accompany us into the professional setting each morning, shaping our actions and reactions. The different dimensions of EQ, as well as its consequences on workers and their organisations, are now the focus of research. EQ boosts efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace. It has a big impact on the results an employee achieves and the rapport he or she has with coworkers. Leaders and managers in IT have found work-life balance to be a difficult problem, and studies have taken notice. This study's literature evaluation on emotional intelligence and work-life balance has enlightened the researcher on several issues. It also gives guidance in planning the current research. The researcher felt compelled to conduct the current study after reviewing the existing literature and identifying the void. There were 375 IT workers in Bangalore, India, chosen at random. Both men and women working in IT were included in the sample. To determine how many people from each of the three categories of management level would participate in the survey, a judgmental sampling method was used. This inquiry will spark a series of thoughtful and fruitful conversations on leadership in the workplace. The findings of this research show that retail businesses may achieve greater profitability and gain a competitive edge by emphasising both emotional intelligence and work-life balance.
