Resumen: La presente investigacion tiene por objeto refl exionar en torno al problema de la libertad y destacar la centralidad de los aportes que el VaticanoII ha entregado y sigue ofreciendo 55 anos despues. En la revision del texto conciliar se han incluido los procesos teologico-historicos que fueron constituyendo la reflexion actual sobre la oboeditio fidei. Es por esto que, a partir de la pregunta por la libertad, distinguiremos los principios o elementos que han influido en la elaboracion y comprension de este concepto. Entre las conclusiones podremos advertir el enfasis del Vaticano II de lograr un encuentro personal con la Revelacion, la apuesta por el ser humano y el reconocimiento de su dignidad como hijo de Dios, el esfuerzo por humanizar las estructuras sociales, y la comprension de la libertad cristiana como redescubrimiento de nuestra vocacion humana. Palabras claves: libertad, obediencia, fe, oboeditio fidei, Concilio, Vaticano II, antropologia teologica. Abstract: The present research pretends to reflect about the problem of freedom and highlight the implication of the contributions that the II Vatican Council keeps offering 55 years later. In the presentation of the conciliar text, we have included the theological-historical processes that resulted in the modern reflection on the oboeditio fidei. That is why, starting from the problem of freedom, we will distinguish the principles or elements that have influenced the development and understanding of this concept. Among the conclusions we will be able to underline how Vatican II emphasizes a personal encounter with the Revelation, the commitment to the human being and the recognition of his/her dignity as a child of God, the effort to humanize social structures, and the understanding of Christian freedom as a rediscovery of our human vocation. Resumen: La aproximacion antropologica de Sacrosanctum concilium a la sagrada liturgia exige adentrarse en el universo del lenguaje simbolico y su proceso semiotico. Este arroja una luz importante para re-pensar el ex opere operato desprendiendose de una vision ontologica-estatica para adentrarse en la dinamica de una accion re-presentada gracias a la accion del Espiritu Santo. La reflexion semiotica del siglo pasado, especialmente en los autores estadounidenses Charles Peirce y Charles Morris, ayuda seriamente para comprender como los ritus et preces de la celebracion liturgica son un lugar teologico de la accion del Espiritu que posibilita el encuentro de lo humano y lo divino. Palabras claves: performativo, sacramentos, liturgia, semiotica, lenguaje simbolico, ritualidad, ex opere operato. Abstract: The anthropological approach of Sacrosanctum concilium to the sacred liturgy requires entering into the universe of symbolic language and its semiotic process. It casts an important light to re-think the ex opere operato, detaching itself from an ontological-static vision to enter into the dynamics of an action re-presented thanks to the action of the Holy Spirit. The semiotic reflection of the last century, especially in American authors Charles Peirce and Charles Morris, helps seriously to understand how the ritus et preces of the liturgical celebration are a theological place of the action of the Spirit that makes possible the encounter of the human and the divine. Resumen: Desde fuentes ineditas de archivo de la Facultad de Teologia de la UC, el ar ticulo reconstruye los antecedentes fundacionales de la revista Teologia y Vida. Esos origenes son situados en un programa de renovacion eclesial y academico-institucional mas amplio que su mentor y primer director, Marcos McGrath, impulso en sintonia con el ambiente intelectual y eclesial de cambio de los 60. Esta revision abre el tema de la funcion de la teologia en la sociedad, la academia y la Iglesia. Palabras claves: McGrath, quehacer-teologico, Vaticano II, teologia UC. Abstract: Through previously unexplored archival material, the article rebuilds the foundational antecedents of the theological Chilean Journal Teologia y Vida. Its origins are situated within a general program of ecclesial and institutional-academic renewal which Marcos McGrath, its mentor and fi rst director, pushed forward in line with the intellectual and ecclesial ambiance of transformations in the 60’.
