--At present, the Indonesia child prison shows a commitment in the effort to change the condition of the convicted person through the process of education. The education process held in the prison is expected that child prisoners will have provision after they are leaving the correctional institution. The purpose of this study is to understand the important and benefit of prison education in Indonesia as perceived by inmate students. Data for this study was gathered from 60 inmate-students from lower and upper secondary prison-based school participated in in-depth interviews. The method of qualitative analysis used within this research is thematic analysis. Inmate students reveal that a common curricular feature of the prison school was the opportunity to earn “easy credits”. They are also appreciating the opportunity to catch up on missed months or even years of school, enabling inmate students to make significant progress toward secondary school graduation. The prison school was in many ways a positive experience in which the students received attention for prison staffs and achieved academically.

---Managerial supervision plays an important role to improve managerial ability of principals. However, the implementation still have many hindrances. This research aims to analyze managerial supervision model implementation in Kendal regency. This qualitative research used comprehensive interview, observation, and document study as techniques of collecting data. The data validity was triangulated in terms of sources and the methods. The data was analyzed qualitatively. This research concluded that managerial supervision was done through: planning, implementing, evaluating, following up, and reporting. The planning stage had not be based on need analysis. The supervision used various approaches and was frequently done out of the plan. The result of supervision was then analyzed but the follow up was not instead. Supervision report was useful for the supervisors but it was not used properly to take decision. This research recommended blended managerial supervision by utilizing information technology.

- Purpose of this research is to assess how much the teacher's perception to the implementation of school-based education management (SBM) in the Maritime Vocational High School of "Akpelni" Semarang. There are two research questions raised, first about the teacher's perception of the current implementation of SBM, and secondly about the things that can be done to improve the implementation of SBM. Data collection method was done by literature study and questionnaire. Respondents of this study were 21 teachers with random sampling. The results of the study to the 6 research variables show that the teacher's perception of the implementation of SBM for the school component scores is 3.78 and for the requirements for applying SBM is 3.91 which means that it is above the minimum standard of 3.50. As for the problems in SBM the score is 2.86 and the constraints of applying SBM are 2.30 which means there are still problems in applying SBM even though the obstacles are not too large (maximum standard score is 2.40). For the characteristics of successful SBM, the score is 3.49 and for the effective SBM, the score is 3.46, which means that teachers have seen or felt the effectiveness of SBM, although it has not been very significant.
