his study aims to discover the causes of errors in using the verbs “belajar,' narau and Manabu. A descriptive statistical method was used in this research. This analytical technique is commonly used for exploratory research. This study's participants were 30 students in the semester VI Japanese Language Education Study Program Universitas Negeri Manado. The data collection technique was carried out through tests on the participants. The tests consisted of 15 questions from the textbooks Minna no Nihongo, Shin Nihongo no Kiso I and II, and several reading materials related to education containing the words narau and Manabu. The results of the study are as follows: (1) Respondents still do not clearly understand the rules for using the verbs' learning' narau and manabu in the context of Japanese sentences, while some respondents are misled by the use of the verbs' learning' narau and manabu which have similar meanings. 2) the effect of B2 on B1 can be seen from the respondent's error in placing the right verb. (3) The respondents' vocabulary still needs to improve, which can be seen from the respondents' answers not placing the verb in the context of the existing sentence. (4) Respondents do not need help understanding the verb changes correctly. After the data was processed and formulated into statistical form, 96.1% of errors appeared, and 38.9% of students correctly used the verbs' learning' narau and manabu. Greetings are categorized as an essential element in daily communication in Japan. The Japanese language learners besides learning the language must be able to culture as well. In this study, we discuss the meaning of the forming elements of the greeting "aisatsu" in the Japanese language which was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method by taking data sources from Nihongo Nooryoku Shiken Shutsudai Kizun as many as 31 expressions related to everyday greetings equivalent to elementary and intermediate levels. The results of the study found that after going through the sorting process based on the basic word and affix and then also describing the lexical meaning of each expression, it can be seen that there is a relationship between the forming of the expression and the meaning of the expression after being used as a greeting and both these basic expressions influence each other in forming greeting expressions or aisatsu in Japanese. This study investigates how Japanese language students view group poster presentations as a project-based integrated language learning process. Japanese language students in higher education must possess both the hard and soft skills necessary for the workplace in the twenty-first century. Therefore, developing Japanese language learning methods is necessary to enhance both learners' soft skills and Japanese proficiency. The project-based learning (PjBL) approach was carried out through a project assigned in the Speaking course, namely in group poster presentations. This research investigated students' perceptions after implementing poster presentation activities to develop their soft skills. The research data were collected using questionnaires, interviews with selected students, and observations during the 8-week project. The results of this study show that the Japanese language students respond favourably to the implementation of the group poster presentation project. Poster presentation activities encourage the students to practice their four Japanese language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in realistic communication. At the same time, these group project activities help the students understand the value of interpersonal skills, project management, critical thinking and problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills in completing a project. Onomatopoeic vocabulary in Japanese is defined as a word that not only symbolizes the sounds/ sounds of living things such as animals and humans, sounds produced by inanimate objects, and sounds produced by natural phenomena. This study aims to describe phonological structures of CV-type onomatopoeia used in battle-themed shounen manga. This research's objects are all onomatopoeias used purely to symbolize sounds, movements, and conditions in the manga. This research was conducted using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data sources for this study were eight titles of battle-themed manga series contained in the shuukan shounen manga tabloids published throughout 2018. The results of this study were the discovery of 41 types of phonological structures from CV-type onomatopoeia used in battle-themed shounen manga. Then, from the 41 types of phonological structures, it can be concluded that the tendency to use CV-type onomatopoeia in battle-themed shounen manga is onomatopoeia with phonological structures ending in a long sound (/R/). Classroom Action Research (CAR) facilitates teachers to improve the quality of learning and teaching and works with them to develop and understand engaging context-specific research. In this study, 193 Japanese language teachers’ perceptions of CAR were qualitatively explored through Classroom Action Research’s survey to know the Japanese language teachers’ perceptions and abilities of research, especially at the high school level. A questionnaire consisting of open-ended questions was utilized to collect the data. The results revealed that most teachers don’t have sufficient capacity and ability to do the research, but they considered that research is a crucial skill. Participants who have done CAR mostly use it for getting promoted, and only a few of them use it to develop the quality of teaching. The survey results also showed that many teachers never did CAR based on the structured way or never done it at all. This study reveals that the ability of the teachers to do the research needs to be improved extensively. This study aims to discover the variety and research trends for L1 language use in the L2 classroom. This study used library research or literature review to collect and process the data. The data originated from national and international articles, journals, and documents. Many sources have shown the result of the study stating that using a first language in learning a foreign language, especially in the speaking classroom, has made teachers and students get several positive attitudes. According to some research, the three characteristics of positive attitudes toward using the Indonesian language in the speaking classroom-language involve loyalty, language pride, and language awareness of norms that both teachers and students highlight. The two methodologies most commonly used in linguistic attitude studies are direct and indirect measures. The results of a survey of linguistic attitudes indicate whether or not students are effective at learning a language. Attitude is known, not innate. Students can improve their favourable language attitudes toward other languages through specific educational activities Keywords : Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Japanese Education JournalJapanese Speaking ClassroomJapanese Literature ReviewJapanese Studies

This study examines the effectiveness of learning the Japanese expression of giving and receiving by applying input processing instruction to Japanese learners of Indonesia at the intermediate level. This study was quantitative research using data obtained from four tests, namely pre-test (first test), post-test (second test), test after two weeks (third test), and test after five weeks (fourth test). The study's respondents are university students of Al Azhar in their third year at the Japanese language and culture department. Based on the results of the first and the second test, it can be said that learning the expression of giving and receiving the Japanese language that applies input processing instruction is effective. However, the comparison results of the first and second tests, second and third tests, and second and fourth tests show that the input exercise does not affect the respondents' ability after two weeks and five weeks after receiving treatment. The average score of respondents tends to decrease in the test after two and five weeks, so it can be said that the input processing instruction does not affect the acquisition of Japanese expressions of receiving and giving. This can be caused by the lack of opportunities to use Japanese expressions of receiving and giving and the lack of exposure to an input of these expressions in subsequent class activities and students' daily lives.
