The introduction of UAV into transportation offers a great number of challenges such as how to utilize the collected vehicle data of different levels to obtain traffic variables. Meanwhile, different detection approaches may acquire different types and precisions of vehicle data, and the methods that will be chosen for each detection approach also may vary. The main objective of this paper is to compare the difference of several methods of calculating space mean speed (SMS), so as to provide guidance for SMS calculation and application based on various detection data of UAV. Two basic methods and three expanded methods that are possible to be used for UAV detection to calculate SMS of a road are discussed based on a dataset from NGSIM. Without considering the errors that may be caused by instability of UAV flight and video processing, differences among the methods are analyzed in the MatLAB software. The results of the two basic methods are of large difference, and the expanded methods used to estimate the SMS in various time periods will also generate different results. So when the results obtained by these methods are used for data fusion and other transportation applications, they should be assigned different weights. Some other results are obtained too, which may provide references for the traffic parameter extraction based on UAV detection, and the data fusion between the space mean speed from UAV detection and that from other traffic detection methods.

Heat exchanger is applied in the field of heat transfer to conserve energy. Therefore, it has been widely used in various industrial production areas, and it is indispensable. Furthermore, most of the heat exchangers are classical shell and tube heat exchangers. In this paper, the technological process of a typical shell and tube heat exchanger based on the multifunction process control platform (MPCE) is discussed in detail. In order to improve control effect and heat transfer efficiency, this research tries to establish a mathematical model using mechanism modeling methods. Then, we design a set of control system schemes for this proposed model of the shell and tube heat exchanger. The structures of PID and feed forward-feedback control system are configured in the MPCE Studio software. Simulation experiment results using feed forward-feedback control strategy are compared to the traditional control algorithms. The simulated curves confirm the effectiveness of the control algorithms.

The weapon-target assignment is a very complicated problem and a key point in the warship formations' air defense operation. In this paper, a cultural particle swarm optimization algorithm for solving WTA problems is proposed. The general idea of the proposed algorithm is to combine the advantages of PSO which integrates local search and global search scheme possesses high search efficiency, and that of cultural algorithm which combines the search method with the knowledge representation scheme for collecting and reasoning knowledge about individual experience to avoid premature convergence. An example is used to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed cultural PSO algorithm, comparing with both the traditional PSO method and the genetic algorithm method. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has rapid convergence speed and higher solution precision.

In the high precisely analyzing and inspecting for IC wafer image, the real-time sampling and automatic focusing of image is the key technology to guarantee acquiring sharply focused image. In this paper, a vision detecting based on embedded high-speed image sampling and automatic image focusing judgment is put forward, which includes the multitasking real-time image sampling, the precise stages control, and the management and task scheduling of automatic focus process. During the process of image sampling, FPGA and chromatic image transducer is the core of the image sampling, and to appraise the definition of the image with gray gradient judging function, compare the focusing data of mean-variance appreciation with gray level appreciation. After analyzed, the gray level focus method, which meets the need of the IC wafer micro imaging system, is obvious unimodality, with a little local peak and a low error.

In order to solve the fault diagnosis problem of automobile engine, the thesis puts forward an entropy-based grey correlation fault diagnosis prediction model. In light of the momentary of oil parameter for automobile engine, entropy-based data fusion can determine the weight of each factor in comprehensive evaluation. Then it makes forecast by grey correlation and evaluation of system oil. The result indicates that, the model is reliable, with strong generalization ability and higher failure recognition rate than that of the single models.

How to identify community structure is a fundamental problem for analysis of complex network. In this paper we propose a novel similarity matrix of the nodes for this purpose, which combines the information of adjacency matrix and common-neighbors matrix. We compare it with diffusion kernel similarity and adjacency matrix using several algorithms which are widely used in detecting community structure, including the standard nonnegative matrix factorization, symmetric nonnegative matrix factorization and spectral clustering. The results performed on the synthetic benchmark networks show that the novel similarity matrix is relatively effective to find the community structures in networks with heterogeneous distribution of node degrees and community sizes, and this effectiveness is also manifested on the real world networks.

Following the widely use of search engines, the impact Web crawlers have on the Web sites should not be ignored. After analyzing the navigational patterns of Web crawlers from Web logs, a new algorithm based on Web page member list is proposed. The algorithm constructs one member list for every Web page and one show table for every visitor. The experiment shows that the new algorithm can detect the unknown crawlers and unfriendly crawlers who do not obey the Standard for Robot Exclusion.

A wireless sensor network may form a part of the base for cloud computing through Internet. We present a framework of task-oriented distributed data fusion, and investigate the assignments of heterogeneous sensors on nodes in the network for a specified task, assuming the network has been self-organized to be a temporally static hierarchy with fixed coordinators. The merits of the distributed data fusion are evaluated through a case study on a classic database from five aspects, quality of estimates, computing scalability, realtime performance, data flow, and energy consumption.

In order to solve the problem of underwater acoustic target detection and identification in the low-frequency, long-range, advantages of the vector hydrophone characteristics which measures three dimensional acoustic particle velocity vector, as well as the acoustic pressure at one location, are used to improved the acoustic pressure adaptive line spectrum enhancer. Analysis of simulation data under different SNR and measured target radiated noise data show that the performance of pressure and particle velocity combined adaptive line enhancer on target radiated noise characteristic line spectrum is indeed better than the traditional ones in low SNR cases.
