Lifestyle simply means “the way in which person lives”. The daily activities of person since he wakes up to fall asleep are included in this. It includes dietary habit, the nature of his work, exercise, hobbies and leisure time activities. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. No such concept appears to be present in contemporary medical practices although a lot of importance has been given to dietary regulations and exercisein prevention and management of non-communicable diseases such as ischemic heart disease and diabetes mellitus. The present study had been undertaken to collect modern scientific evidences in support of Dinacharya(daily regimen) mentioned in ancient Ayurvedic texts and its role in preventing non communicable diseases.

Schizophrenia is unarguably one of the most devastating mental illnesses. It often strikes early in life, and onset can signal the presence of an irreversible vulnerability toward psychosis that creates a lifetime of anguish and burden for patients and their loved ones. Symptoms of Schizophrenia are similar to that of Unmada mentioned in Ayurveda classics. This article deals with a case of Schizophrenia which was diagnosed as Kaphaja Unmada- Pithaanubandha according to diagnostic principles of Ayurveda. The patient is having general presentation that suggests the presence of negative symptoms, including signs such as communication difficulties, flat affect, limited emotion, social inactivity, low motivation, and retarded psychomotor activity along with some positive symptoms. She was administered with Dhaara, Snehapaana, Virechana, Vasthi and Nasya during 45 days of Inpatient management along with internal medications. The Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) was used to evaluate the efficacy of treatment. Total two assessments were carried out before treatment and after completion of 45 days of treatment. The results were promising and worth detailing, and the negative symptoms got complete relief on PANSS. Panchakarma procedures along with internal Ayurvedic medicines provided promising results for successful tapering of antipsychotic medication and also for better management of Schizophrenia along with improved life quality of the patient. The case report stresses the role of Ayurveda treatment modalities in managing similar psychiatric conditions.
采用Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS)评价治疗效果。

Shitada(Gingivitis)is widely detailed in the western Dentistry, as well as in Shalakya Tantrafrom Ayurveda. It can progress to periodontitis, eventually risking tooth and alveolar bone loss. The prevalence of Shitada(Gingivitis)is significantly high, however underreported. Chronicity warrants long term and repetitive medication with anti-inflammatory, and antibiotic agents, paving risks for adverse drug reactions.Pratisarana, the Ayurvedic local management as observed in this single case study offers safe, effective, and economical alternative. This can be extended to the high-risk groups for prevention, and to the patients for management / cure.
Shitada(牙龈炎)的患病率非常高,但报道不足。

There are various principles like Tri Dosha (Biomaterials), Sapt Dhatus (Tissues) and Tri Mala (waste products), Srotas, Agni, etc. mentioned in Ayurveda, but fundamental of all these is Panchmahabhuta principle. In Ayurveda it is stressed that both Chikitsa Purush (living human body) and Dravyas (Drugs) used for treatment of Chikitsa Purush, are made up of Panchmahabhuta. So, for any Vaidya (Physician) to achieve the ultimate aim of Ayurveda (to maintain health of healthy person and prevent him/her from diseases) it is very important to have deep and through understanding Panchmahabhuta concept. In this review article stress is given on clinical application of Panchmahabhuta principle in Ayurveda and focused on the inter relation of Panchmahabhuta with various other components of body like Tridosh, Dhatu, Mala, Triguna, Rasa etc.

Ayurvedais an ancient medical system that emphasizes holistic health. Indian sages described a healthy human lifestyle thousands of years ago. Ayurveda aims to maintain healthy people's health and to curediseases.Vegadharanahas been identified as a major cause of illness and disease.Mutra Vegadharanais one cause ofMutravaha SrotasVikaras.Mutravaha SrotasVikarasare conditions that affect the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra, as well as other parts of the urinary tract.Mutrakrichchhra(Urinary Tract Infection), Mutraghata (Obstructive Uropathy either mechanical or functional),Prameha(Obstinate Urinary Disorders including diabetes) are some commondiseases of the urinary system. It is estimated that 150 million UTIs occur yearly on a global basis. Ignorance of these diseases can lead to some serious renal complications. Suppression of urine urge prevents the passage of urine; keeping it inside the bladder for too long creates an environment where such diseases can develop. Here, an effort is made to explain howMutra VegadharanaandMutravaha SrotasVikaraare related.
尿路感染(Mutrakrichchhra), Mutraghata(机械性或功能性梗阻性尿病),Prameha(顽固性尿障碍,包括糖尿病)是泌尿系统的一些常见疾病。
