Based on the study of the parameters of vibroacoustic signals, the size of the microcutters was optimized. The influence of the parameters of microcutters on the roughness of the holes of small-sized parts processed on lathe bar machines has been determined. The dependencies of the roughness parameters of the treated holes on the sortie the cutter insert in the assembly of the boring tool in a wide range of feeds are obtained. A value for ensuring that the requirements of the roughness of the holes of small-sized parts has been determined.

A technique for ope rational control of the degree of contamination of microelectronic substrates with organic impurities is presented by the wetting angle of a controlled substrate by a drop of liquid. The technique consists in forming a drop of distilled water on the surface of the substrate under study, photographing the drop and using the resulting image, determining the relative roughness and degree of contamination of the substrate with organic impurities. The operability of the technique has been experimentally proved using the example of substrates made of glass, glass-ceramic and silicon. The deviation of measurements of substrate contamination measured by the proposed method relative to the data obtained by atomic force microscopy does not exceed 3 %. The technique allows, while increasing the accuracy of measuring the degree of contamination, to reduce the time of this control, while ensuring the safety of the controlled substrates. At the same time, to reduce the time of using specialized equipment for the purpose of monitoring the degree of contamination of the substrates.

Phenomenological models for describing the process of straining of bitumen-mastic insulation used for protection of the natural gas pipelines from electrochemical corrosion is proposed. The viscoelastic characteristics of insulation at different temperatures and after aging are determined. It is shown that the viscosity and stiffness coefficients determined on the basis of the accepted rheological model of the Maxwell viscoelastic body can be used to assess the degree of degradation of insulation.

Expanding industry demand for machining of critical products from hard-to-machine materials and hard alloys makes the research aimed at finding optimal modes of electrical discharge machining topical. This is, for example, the determination of modes that provide the highest productivity or efficiency, or minimum tool wear, while ensuring the necessary roughness and accuracy of the product. In the present work, it is proposed to supplement the parameters monitored in electric discharge machining with non-electrical parameters, which include the parameters of vibroacoustic signals that accompany the working process. The paper shows that parallel recording of the discharge current vibration signals makes it possible to reveal the drawbacks of processing conditions and to influence purposefully the technological process modes in order to bring the processing conditions closer to the optimum ones.

A method of water turbidity control using ratio turbidimeters is proposed for the implementation of optimal distributed water purification. The problem of minimizing the total turbidity value in NTU units of readings generated at the outputs of ratio turbidimeters included in each subchannel of the water flow distribution network is substantiated and solved. In the subchannels, the water is purified using coagulation-flocculation technology. The optimal ratio of the turbidimeter signals of the ratio is obtained, at which the sum of the NTU readings of the subchannels reaches a minimum.

The article provides an analysis of the sources of errors of reflectometers. The main error of reflectometers is the methodological component, which is determined by the error of setting the phase velocity of the pulse. The phase velocity of the pulse depends on various external factors. The instrumental component of the error is due to the instability of the reflected pulse shape and the presence of noise in the signal. Based on metrological analysis, an intelligent reflectometer was developed for monitoring overhead power transmission lines. The developed reflectometer contains blocks and nodes to compensate and reduce the main components of the total error. The developed reflectometer makes it possible to increase the accuracy of determining the accident site and reduce the recovery time of the line, and, consequently, increase the reliability of power supply.

There are factors that cause the necessity of viscosity measurement on the main oil pipelines. The article presents the principles of various existing viscometers and the latest research in this area. The authors consider the characteristics of oil flow, trunk pipelines and trends in the oil industry. They analyse viscometric methods from the point of view of the control of trunk oil flows. The authors evaluate the methods, on the basis of which they make recommendations for their modernisation for the control of main oil streams. The research showed the absence of a method that meets all the requirements of the main oil flow and the trends of development of the oil industry. According to the authors it is necessary to make further research of measuring methods based on piezoelectric elements and capacitive sensors and possibly implement them in new oil pipelines. Authors believe that the greatest potential for the oil industry has a radical modernization of the bubble pneumatic method to suit the specific features of the control object (main oil flow).

An automated method for comparing processes obtained by mathematical modeling and experimentally is proposed. The method is based on the use of the concept of characteristic time points, as well as ways to determine them. An example of the use of the methodology is given. The results can be used in the engineering analysis stage of the designed system in the process of their pilot testing, when solving problems of parametric identification of mathematical models.

The method for determining the parameters of natural oscillations of an object under test is offered, which allows detecting crack sizes in structures made of plates. The use of this method is particularly relevant for monitoring large structures that takes much time if other NDT types are used. The relation between the natural oscillations parameters and crack sizes is built on the use of the mathematical model of the energy carrier of free oscillations, and on dynamic crack theory. Resultant diagrams are made for various deformation types on crack edges, to be used to determine wave length and frequency of natural oscillations in a plate against a preset inadmissible crack length, thus enabling crack detection. To ensure efficient non-destructive testing, an example of essential set of forms of natural oscillations for a plate structure is given.

The work is devoted to the consideration of a new approach to the classification of living cells, which combines spatial and temporal fluctuations, quantitative indicators of the optical thickness of the cell, obtained using phase dynamic imaging. Five different indicators were used to evaluate the various methods: accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, reliability and statistical index (AUC). Various architectures were considered: single-path ResNet, two-way ResNet and three-way ResNet. The methods of early and late fusion were also compared using various indicators: morphology, a map of spatio-temporal fluctuations and/or a two-channel input. Combining morphology and spatial-temporal fluctuations map (triple path model) improves results from 85 % (morphology only) to 89 % (combining morphology and spatial-temporal fluctuations).
