The built environment is tamed with varying health and economic challenges that, if left unattended, could endanger lives and properties dwelling within it. However, the said challenges are all inevitable as a result of the ever-increasing global population and the dissimilar challenges that come with it. Consequently, there is a need to unearth more alternatives through which the wellness of lives in the built environment and the economy they depend on can be improved in order to inhibit the fast-rising deplorable health conditions that are threatening the built environment. Fine art in all its entirety goes beyond artworks being crafted primarily for visual appeal or creative expression; fine art, especially drawing and painting, is imbued with economic and health-enhancing feats. This study uncovers, through the use of interviews and the authors’ experiences and observations, how fine art facets (portrait drawing) and painting can positively improve a man’s psychological and mental wellness. The few selected interview respondents shared their various experiences culled from their individual interactions with the work of art. The paper recommended, among others, that portrait drawing and painting should be further patronized, practiced, and embraced as they have a way of enhancing psychological and mental wellness in the built environment with economic advantages. The study concludes that drawing fosters interpersonal relationships as well as cultural exchange. It recommends that drawing and painting be encouraged at early stages of education and adopted as part of the vocational skills for enhancing entrepreneurship studies.

The reception of translations of foreign literary works can vary depending on a variety of historical, social and cultural factors. The paper endeavors to examine how the collaborative translation between an interpreter and a writer can effectively address those interrelated factors that constrain the reception of the translation of foreign literary works with a case study of Wei Yi and Lin Shu’ translation of Harriet Beacher Stowe’s Uncle Tom’s Cabin in China in the early 20th century. When translating the novel, Wei Yi and Lin Shu Wei Yi and Lin Shu combined their strengths as an interpreter and a writer. They manipulated the original themes of slavery and religious belief to express their patriotic ideals and raise awareness of the national crisis, while also arousing their readers’ national spirit. Besides, they employed different translation strategies: additions to supplement the traditional Chinese literal styles and bridge the cultural gap between English and Chinese; deletions to overcome cultural vacuum and handle religious materials; abridgement to remove what they thought was trivial messages, and adaptation to rewrite the cultural knowledge. The paper contends that Wei Yi and Lin Shu’s collaboration as an interpreter and a writer contributed the more appropriate contextualization and reception of the Chinese translation of Uncle Tom’s Cabin to the target readership in the Chinese context in the early 20th century. This study of collaborative translation between an interpreter and a writer is expected to shed some light on literary translation across different countries.

Coca-Cola is a carbonated beverage created by The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America (USA) which leadership in the soft drink business was achieved after development of advertising programs.
