Technology has made significant strides in recent years, which accounts for how pervasive it is in our daily lives. In order to address the fundamental issue with historical document preservation, namely their degeneration, this work suggests using new technology. The method is built on pieces of artificial intelligence that can read the writing from a page and recognize the useful information, converting it into a digital version. Contrary to photographing or scanning, binarizing a document is a considerably more effective method, both in terms of quality—the legibility of the writing—and quantity—the amount of memory needed to retain the resulting image. According to common assessment measures, the suggested fully convolutional network manages to deliver results that are comparable to those of other solutions of a similar nature.

The objective of the present research is to adapt The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ) to the Romanian population. SCSRFQ is a self-assessment questionnaire with two versions, 10-items version (SCSRFQ), and a short version (SCSRFQ-SF) with 5-items used to assess strength of religious faith. A total of 201 participants, aged 18-77 years, completed a socio-demographic data sheet and the SCSRFQ. A high internal consistency was obtained for the scale of the instrument, with a Cronbach's alpha coefficients 0.95. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were also evaluated. The results indicate that the Romanian version of The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ) has good psychometric properties, being a suitable instrument for the assessment strength of religious faith.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the social construction process of the Covid-19 pandemic from the perspective of the anxiety and frustration felt by the citizens as a threat to their own lives and health and to analyze the perceived severity of the Covid-19 infection during March-June 2020. The present research aims to understand the changes that society is going through in the context of the pandemic, to analyze the social construction elements of the pandemic and the infodemic, in the context of a public health crisis, and also to identify the social perception on the pandemic among the affected population. Social anxiety can be understood: as a side effect of the process of social construction of the person's identity, thus being correlated with the cultural particularities of the social environment of origin, mainly related to the social distinctions between individualism and collectivism; as an instance for the social construction of the idea of pandemic; as a constructive instance for the medicalization of social life in the pandemic and post-pandemic period; as being socially constructed through the mechanisms of the interpretive adrift of the meaning of role performance. The research was carried out between March and June 2020 and it was based on a qualitative methodology derived from Grounded Theory. Data collection was done through the technique of a semi-structured interview, applied online on a sample of 103 people, mostly in the N.E. Region of Romania using an opportunity sample based on the snowball method.

Losing their interest to the onsite classes, after COVID-19 online teaching period, the Z generation of students spent more time on their smartphones being only physically present there. The originality of this study is given by the mixed researched methods (participatory observation, sociological exploratory experiment and self-administrated questionnaire) used to collect the information and identify if receiving autonomy, competence and relatedness from the teachers, students become more engaged in courses activities and learning performance. Contrary to our initial supposition we were able to conclude that the Z generation of students are not developing `anxiety` feelings when they are separated from their smartphones during classes if they are fully assured the autonomy, competence and relatedness for taking this decision. But, during that period their main thoughts are related to anxiety or expectation that something is to happen and they risk not to see it on their smartphone. Here we can conclude that maybe they are not aware of their dependency and do not consider that exists. In the whole image of the three-year cohort, the extremities, 1st year and 3rd year of study are more dependent on the smartphone than the 2nd year. Also, the same study years (1st and 3rd), are more motivated and agreed with the established rules and found intrinsic motivation; as long as autonomy, competence and relatedness are accomplished for them. Maybe because 1st year students wish to better integrate into university life and 3rd year students have internalised the rules and they converged with their intrinsic motivation.

Metacognitive skills which provide regulation and management of students’ intellectual activity in the process of their self-education are of great importance, especially in the context of the learner-centered education paradigm in the global information space, with its focus on the self-study and self-development of an individual. In this regard, the article aimed to analyze the development of metacognitive skills in first year students by means of educational technologies in ESP classes at technical university in Ukraine. As shown by the results of the study, educational technologies can be successfully used for the development of such metacognitive skills as self-directed learning skills, collaboration skills, self-management skills, self-reflection skills in first year students studying ESP at university level. The educational technologies used in our study – the Moodle platform, WebQuest, blogs and wikis, Google Classroom, Quizlet – confirmed their efficiency as a useful tool for the development of metacognition since they provide the learning environment which makes it possible for students to organize and control their learning, make decisions, reflect on the results of their learning experience and make necessary changes and adjustments if necessary.

The authors have attempted a philosophical essay to comprehend the phenomenon of statehood, society, decentralization and culture in the context of the philosophy of mind and (partially) the neuroscientific paradigm. The authors used a number of theoretical methods: from historical analysis and reconstruction of the phenomenon of philosophy of mind and establishing the role of human subjectivity and "selfhood" in sociopolitical processes, to philosophical reflection and essayistic parascientific author interpretations. The main result is a new view of decentralization in the context of postmodernist consciousness, where the background (postmodern) and sociopolitical result (decentralization) are the synergistic result of human social networks' realization of neurocognitive natural ability to parallel coexistence of personal and social. As a result, the virtual and material manifestations of the globalized informatized post-industrial society, which has received postmodernist experience, have conditioned total decentralization. At the same time, politically administrative is only a partial manifestation of it, while civil society seeks to diversify its needs and ways of solving them as much as possible. The international significance of the article lies in its universality: it complementarily analyzes the neuroscientific, cultural-mystetic, philosophical, social, and political dimensions of a civil postmodern society that seeks maximum decentralization of all superstructures and maximum delegation of managerial functions to its members and groups.

The main purpose of the study is to analyze the neuropsychological and neurolinguistic foundations of speech activation in the educational process. Human speech activity is closely connected with all spheres of human consciousness. The history of the existence of mankind has proved that it is speech that is an important factor in the mental development of the individual and the improvement of social relations. Under the influence of speech, consciousness, mental operations, volitional and emotional spheres develop, and the intellectual capabilities of a person are enriched. Broadcasting as a psychological phenomenon is one of the most difficult in the life of each of us. Speech activity has its own physiological mechanisms, which are determined not only at the functional, but also at the morphological level. Based on the results of the study, key aspects of the neuropsychological and neurolinguistic foundations of speech activation in the educational process were considered.
