Digital Detox Among Adolescents at Summer Camp: Nursing Implications. 青少年夏令营中的数字排毒：护理意义。

Abstract: Computer and internet addiction as well as compulsive social media use have become significant problems for adolescents. Residential summer camps offer the opportunity for campers to experience a digital detox in a supportive setting where digital devices are not available. A retrospective chart analysis of health clinic logs for campers ages 8-18 at an 8-day residential Christian athletic summer camp in 2023 asked: What percentage of summer camp health clinic visits were due to symptoms consistent with technology withdrawal, and did health clinic utilization differ based on gender? Visits for sleep (6%) and anxiety (2%) symptoms had the highest likelihood of being consistent with symptoms of technology withdrawal; female campers had more clinic visits than males. Nursing interventions for camp health concerns and the relevance of biblical spiritual care for adolescent campers are discussed.

Abstract: The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is typically associated with using cannabis or cannabinoids. However, the ECS is a complex regulatory network within the human body that plays a vital role in maintaining physiological homeostasis. The ECS can become dysregulated through various mechanisms. This article describes the physiology of the ECS using a biblical worldview. Nurses who understand the causes of ECS dysfunction can help lead patients toward lifestyle habits that reflect God's design for balance, resilience, and wholeness.

Abstract: Nurses Honor Guards across the United States provide an invaluable service to the families and memories of fallen colleagues as they demonstrate appreciation for the nurse's selfless caring and service to individuals, families, and their communities. These volunteers also recognize nurses who achieve significant milestones in their lives and careers through living memorials that acknowledge the nurse's achievements and dedication. Insights from Nurses Honor Guard participants and recommendations for establishing a successful Nurses Honor Guard chapter are offered.
