Abstract: This article presents reflections and suggestions for nurse educators in a Christian institution who want to pray with students while teaching online. Suggestions primarily relate to recording prayers for class, including avoiding the appearance of coercion; being clear that students' participation in the recorded prayer will have no effect on grades; placing prayer in recorded material at a consistent location (such as the beginning or the end) so students know when it is coming; being creative in offering varying ways to pray; being authentic; and inviting student participation.

Abstract: Care provided by Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)-prepared Registered Nurses (RNs) has been shown to lead to more positive patient outcomes compared to care provided by non-BSN-prepared RNs. A Fall 2021 study explored barriers of requiring a BSN degree of staff nurses from the perspective of hospital and long-term care facility nurse leaders in Tennessee (N = 89), strategies to increase the number of nurses with BSNs, and association between leadership goals and the number of BSN-prepared nurses in the facilities. Seven barriers to requiring the BSN and nine strategies to increase BSNs were identified. Significant association was found between having plans to increase the number of BSN nurses and the percentage of nurses in the facility with BSN degrees.

Abstract: The influence of Western Christian missionary nurses has been recorded in the history and development of nursing in China. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Christianity on Chinese nursing ethics. This documentary research used content analysis to investigate Christian value trends over 13 years (1920-1932) as reflected in a major bilingual Chinese nursing journal.

Abstract: Eating disorders (EDs) are a severe type of mental illness that nurses in many settings may encounter. The three primary eating disorders-anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder-are described here. Signs, symptoms, and treatment of eating disorders are outlined, along with the importance of nurses in early identification of EDs and developing therapeutic relationships with patients. A case study and elements of spiritual care are presented.

Abstract: In the post-COVID era, examining nursing and pastoral leadership experiences with biblical examples offers helpful perspectives on how to lead in times of crisis and adversity. Reflecting on men and women of the Bible who led during crisis can encourage nurses to view our ministries through God's lens and motivate us to become stronger leaders.
